Beéle Arrives on Billboard's Albums Charts With Debut Set ‘BORONDO'

After collecting multiple hits across Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart and Latin Airplay charts, Beéle makes his first appearance on the albums rankings with BORONDO. The Colombian singer-songwriter's debut set launches on the Top Latin Albums (at No. 10) and Top Latin Rhythm Albums (at No. 4) lists, dated May 31. BORONDO, a 26-track album, was released May 15 on Hear This Music/5020 Records. The set starts at No. 10 on Top Latin Albums with 11,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the tracking week ending May 22, according to Luminate. More from Billboard Zak Starkey Rubbishes Reports He Retired from The Who, Insists He Was 'Fired' Lorde Makes Surprise Appearance at Aotearoa Music Awards Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Perform 1996 Hit 'Tha Crossroads' on 'Everybody's Live' During the tracking week of May 16-22, BORONDO's debut was driven primarily by streaming activity, with the album's songs generating 17 million official on-demand streams. Meanwhile, the remainder of the total-week sum came from a minimal contribution of album sales and track-equivalent units. (Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.) Further, BORONDO's entrance marks a breakthrough for Puerto Rican indie label Hear This Music—founded by DJ Luian and Mambo Kingz— achieving its first performance and top 10 on any Billboard albums tally since its formation in 2015 (the imprint has earned 20 entries on the Hot Latin Songs chart, including three top 10s). The set was previewed by one charting song: 'Mi Refe,' with Ovy on The Drums, peaked at No. 8 on Latin Rhythm Airplay in April. Prince Royce, Mora & Sebastian Yatra Achieve Top 10 Success: Elsewhere on the Latin albums charts, three other Latin artists leave a mark this week, starting with Prince Royce, whose album Eterno debuts at No. 3 on the Top Tropical Albums chart, his eighth straight top 10 since the 54-week ruler album Prince Royce in 2010. Eterno, a collection of 20th century English hits turned-bilingual bachatas, becomes the Hot Shot debut of the week on Top Tropical Albums with 3,000 equivalent album units earned during the tracking week ending May 22. The album's songs generated 1.9 million official on-demand streams in its first week. 'How Deep Is Your Love' is the only song that previewed the album; it hits new peaks on the overall Latin Airplay (No. 5) and Tropical Airplay (No. 4) charts after a 35% boost in audience impressions, to 7 million. Puerto Rican Mora secures his fifth top 10 on the Top Latin Rhythm Albums chart with Lo Mismo De Siempre, as the album bows at No. 9 with 7,000 equivalent album units, also largely from streaming activity (9.8 million official on-demand streams in its opening week). The Rimas-released set, dropped on an off-cycle Sunday, May 18, thus, debuts on the chart with only five days of activity (the chart's tracking week runs Friday through Thursday). Lastly, Sebastian Yatra's Milagro starts at No. 9 on Top Latin Pop Albums with 2,000 equivalent album units. The 17-track album, released May 18 on Universal Music Latino/UMLE, generated 2.3 million official streams during the same period. It becomes Yatra's fourth top 10 on the tally. All charts (dated May 31, 2025) will update on tomorrow, May 28 (a day later than usual due to the Memorial Day holiday May 26). Carín León Nabs Fourth No. 1 on Latin Airplay Chart With ‘Ahí Estabas Tú'

Carín León places his second No. 1 of the year, and fourth overall, on Billboard's Latin Airplay chart, as 'Ahí Estabas Tú' ascends 3-1 on the May 24-dated list. The new achievement comes only two months after his most recent triumph with 'El Amor de Mi Herida.' 'Ahí Estabas Tú' claims the top spot on the overall Latin Airplay chart with 8.2 million audience impressions earned in the U.S. during the May 9-15 tracking week, according to Luminate –that's a 21% gain from the previous week. The Greatest Gainer-awarded track of the week trades places with Gerardo Coronel 'El Jerry''s 'No Se Dice,' after the latter drops 1-3 with a 5% dip in impressions (to 8.23 million). Previously the Hermosillo, Sonora-born singer-songwriter took command of Latin Airplay for one week through 'El Amor de Mi Herida' (March 22-dated list). With a second ruler in 2025, León is only the second soloist to have two No. 1s on Latin Airplay this year unaccompanied by another act. Earlier in 2025, Bad Bunny topped the chart twice with his solo tracks 'El Clúb' and 'Baile Inolvidable,' each reigning for two weeks in February and March, respectively. In total, four artists have secured two No. 1 hits in 2025 so far. Between Benito's two chart-toppers, Myke Towers claimed the No. 1 spot with 'Otra Noche' featuring Darell, for one week in February. He followed up with another No. 1 hit, 'Degenere,' which features benny blanco, leading for one week on the May 3 chart. Meanwhile, Colombian Kapo placed back-to-back champs as 'Más Que Tú,' with Ozuna, ceded its place to 'Imagínate,' with Danny Ocean, on the April 26 list, both one-week rulers. Beyond his Latin Airplay coronation, León also takes 'Ahí Estabas Tú' to the summit on Regional Mexican Airplay, where it jumps 2-1, his eighth No. 1 overall. He ties Eden Muñoz for the fourth-most rulers among soloists in the 2020s decade. They trail Christian Nodal who leads with 17 No. 1 this decade, Gerardo Ortiz follows with 13, and Alejandro Fernández with 12 leaders. The first song, 'Nun,' has a rambunctious trap beat, as Quavo drops some braggadocious flexes over soaring horns and hard-hitting drums. The second song, 'Glacier,' is much slower, as Quavo sings his way through to the end. J Balvin Adds Record-Extending 37th No. 1 on Latin Airplay With Feid Collab ‘Doblexxo'

J Balvin and Feid's 'Doblexxo' snags the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Latin Airplay chart as the song climbs 6-1 for its first week atop the March 15-dated list. The song lands at the summit in its 13th week. 'I feel super excited to know that our fans have embraced this song in such a way,' Balvin tells Billboard. 'Feid's talent is undeniable and our chemistry when it comes to making music has always been amazing. I can't wait to sing 'Doblexxo' live during my upcoming Rayo tour.' More from Billboard J Balvin Bares His Soul After 'A Moment of Darkness' DDG Accuses Halle Bailey of Keeping Their Son Away From Him on New Song Snoop Dogg Delivers a Surprise Performance at Nashville Bar In the tracking week ending March 6, 'Doblexxo' pulled 8.4 million audience impressions earned in the U.S., according to Luminate; that's a 32% gain from the week prior when the song generated 6.1 million. With 'Doblexxo,' Balvin achieves his record-extending 37th No. 1s since the Latin Airplay chart began in 1994, opening a wider gap from his next competitor (Ozuna, 34 champs). Feid bags his ninth ruler. The latter last reached the top with 'Si Sabe Ferxxo,' with Blessd, which spent a week at No. 1 in June 2024. Except for 2024, Balvin has placed at least one champ every year during his decadelong No. 1 chart career, dating back to '6AM,' featuring Farruko (May 2014). He completed his most lucrative period in 2022, placing nine No. 1 hits between February and October then. The year before, Balvin reached his second-best run, with six No. 1s in 2019. Good reception across Latin rhythmic stations also spurs its coronation on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart, where 'Doblexxo' jumps 3-1. There, Balvin also stands firmly ahead of the rest, with 37 No. 1s. (Daddy Yankee follows with 35.) The song's 13-week climb to No. 1 marks a longer stride to the top than Balvin and Feid's past pair-up, 'Porfa' — where Maluma, Nicky Jam, Sech and Justin Quiles are also part of the billing — as it ruled after eight weeks in August 2020. 'Doblexxo' is the fourth radio promoted single from Balvin's sixth studio album Rayo, which debuted and peaked at No. 5 on Latin Rhythm Albums last August. All charts (dated March 15, 2025) will update on tomorrow, March 11. For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.
