Hair straightener from Frankie Bridge's go-to brand drops to Amazon lowest price

Daily Mirror3 days ago
The Touch Iron from Cloud Nine is designed for shoppers with busy lifestyles and it's now dropped to the lowest price in the past 30 days on Amazon
With a plethora of multi-stylers in the beauty world, hair straighteners remain a staple for beauty buffs when it comes to achieving shiny, sleek locks. Amazon has knocked the price off Frankie Bridge's go-to hair straightener to its "lowest price in 30 days".
It's the Cloud Nine's The Touch Iron Hair Straightener Gold Edition. Currently reduced from £189 to £139, the buttonless hot iron heats instantly from the very first stroke, eliminating heat up time and saving shoppers time to style.
When it comes to heat, the Harrogate-based haircare brand said "less is more", so the Touch Iron comes with Variable Temperature Control from 165°C to 195°C, which is perfect for a range of hair types. Beauty fans can style at the safest temperature that works for their hair.
'I'm a beauty writer - the new ghd curling wand gave me perfect waves in 15 mins'
Next is selling beauty box with £90 worth of makeup, skincare and more for £20
One shopper was impressed with the result and shared: "My friend has these and offered to do my hair, five minutes later I had straight hair with shine. It's the shine that is the most impressive. I have not quite got her skill level but I did a passable attempt in 10 minutes or so. No aching arm and lots of shine. Really impressive and I'm ever so happy with them."
Cloud Nine credited that to the ceramic mineral-infused floating plates as they help seal the hair's cuticle and lock in moisture for shiner hair. The plates are designed to minimise drag and friction on the hair to reduce split ends and breakage.
Similarly, Dyson's Corrale Straightener also features manganese copper alloy plates that flex around the hair to gather it with less reliance on heat. Originally retailed at £399.99, it's now been reduced to £299.99 and it's available on the Blue/Copper and Bright Copper/Bright Nickel colourways.
For a budget option, Revlon's One-Step Air Straight is a 2-in-1 hair dryer and hot iron that has Ceramic Tourmaline plates and teeth infused with Argan Oil to keep the hair glossy. It's stocked at Boots for £69.99.
Amazon shoppers have rated the Cloud Nine The Touch Iron an impressive 4.7 out of five-stars in customer rating. One commented: "I've used ghd straighteners for years and Dyson, which were heavy to handle. I'm on Cloud 9. These are the best straighteners I've ever had, and they're lightweight, too. With naturally curly hair, these straighteners worked a treat."
A second mentioned the touchless feature and explained: "They heat up in no time at all and yes they turn off automatically after about 30 seconds of inactivity, but I think that's a massive plus. No more leaving the house and worrying if you've left them on.
"When the straighteners do turn off, you just press the plates together and they are instantly hot and ready to use again."
But some were disappointed at the customer service and they struggled to contact the team for repairs. One mentioned a flaw in the touchless feature, saying: "Regarding the two temperature options, it is very easy to accidentally tap the straighteners together and change the temperature to the highest heat without realising."
With the £50 discount, the Cloud Nine hair straightener is a great gift option and one shopper shared: "I purchased the Cloud Nine straighteners for my partner and she has been extremely pleased. She says they are her best set as yet. She changed from using ghd and says that Cloud Nine are by far the better straighteners."

Gadget review: ESR Wireless Mouse - I never knew I needed this until I did

Gadget review: ESR Wireless Mouse - I never knew I needed this until I did The ESR Wireless Mouse ensures you will never be separated from your mouse ever again ESR Wireless Mouse I didn't wake up today knowing that I was about to be blown away by a gadget I had never thought about until now. I'm quite easily impressed with gadgets. I like them to work and have a purpose. The ESR MagMouse's brilliance comes via the sheer simplicity of the product. How it works is you connect a little magnetic base to your laptop and then when you aren't using your mouse you just snap it onto the base. That means that you never lose your mouse or leave it in another room when you need it - you can't, as it is attached to the laptop. It also means you get to carry it around wherever you go without having to stick it in your pocket or watch it fall of the laptop lid as you balance it walking downstairs. Sometimes it really is the cleverest ideas that are the best, and in this case certainly the most practical. I genuinely love this and as someone who switches between an office in the loft to the dining room table, it's very handy. It's also very handy out in the field when covering things like football games where you have to transport your equipment a couple of times during a game. My old wireless mouse was a bit of a pain as it took an AA battery and I broke the lid after dropping it, that meant the battery was always a little loose. This just comes with a wireless adapter and a small USB lead that you connect for a really quick charge. Just one minute of charge delivers four of use, and a full 45-minute charge will leave you sorted for a whopping 80 days. There is a switch on the back that lets you flit between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 across Windows, macOS, iPadOS, Android, and Linux. Navigation is a breeze with a four way scroll wheel and I really liked the forward and back buttons which I find really useful for work, particularly when in my emails. The mouse sits really comfortably in your hand and the rubber coating means you never lose grip and it's really practical in terms of use. As with most devices these days there is a button to control the precision. The lowest setting feels like you are dragging a bag of coal over the desktop, so I would suggest somewhere nearer the top end so you can whizz around the screen. The magic here though is definitely the ability to snap it onto your laptop and carry it around, it's a gimmick, but you quickly realise it's a very practical and pleasing gimmick. ESR Wireless Mouse is available for £39.99 from Amazon Reviews Amazon User: "Mouse is way too light, practically weighs nothing. Wrist feels akward when using it, which makes the ease of use not good. Seems to have some lag in the cursor. Clicks are way to silent and often find myself clicking more than once because you cant really feel the clicks. Not for me. The only positive about this mouse is the USB C option it has, which suprisingly nothing comes with these days. Build quality seems ok but kind of cheap." Amazon User: Since I'm on my laptop most of the day, I wanted a wireless mouse that was both comfortable and easy to use, and this one has worked out great. It's lightweight and shaped just right for my hand, so I can use it for hours without strain. The black design looks sleek, and the clicks feel crisp with no delay in the connection. The scroll wheel moves smoothly and with good control. One thing I like a lot is the magnetic base that comes with it. When I'm not using the mouse, I just snap it on the base and pack them together with my laptop. That makes it easy to carry around and helps me avoid leaving it behind. Shark launches limited edition cordless vacuum inspired by Brad Pitt blockbuster

Shark has released a new cordless vacuum inspired by Apple's F1: The Movie, and it comes with a feature users 'didn't know' they needed. Shark has launched a limited edition vacuum cleaner inspired by a Brad Pitt blockbuster. Fans of both the homeware brand and the Hollywood icon can pick up the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner inspired by F1 The Movie. To mark its release, Shark is also offering a £200 discount, slashing the device from £549.99 to £349.99. Other products in Shark's F1 collection include the FlexBreeze Pro Fan System (£249.99) and PowerDetect Robot Vacuum and Mop (£549.99). Each device in the new range is designed in APX GP black and gold team colours, a nod to the fictional Formula 1 team for which Pitt drives in the summer blockbuster. Shark touts the PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner as delivering the 'best debris cleaning' of any cordless vacuum, while its innovative 'Auto-Empty' dock charges and empties itself after every use. Amazon knocks £75 off 'easy to use' Ninja Crispi in limited time deal Haircare brand ghd launch four new tools that make curls 'last all day' The vacuum is ideal for homes with pets thanks to Shark's signature 'Anti Hair Wrap Plus' technology, which removes hair from its specially engineered bristles and ensures 'powerful' hair pick up. It also boasts several 'dirt-detecting' features, including the ability to detect dirt and increase suction accordingly thanks to built-in sensors. The Shark vacuum can also adjust its power when it detects edges and floor type, while its DuoClean Detect floorhead is designed to work in both forward and reverse for a more efficient clean. Other standout features include a 70-minute runtime, a bendable 'Flexology' wand to clean under furniture and an LED display displaying Dirt Detection and Battery Status information. Shoppers looking for a more affordable vacuum can find the Avalsor Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is now half price at Amazon, where it's reduced from £189.99 to £95.45. Elsewhere, Hoover's HF4 Hydro Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is £100 off at £199 and serves as both a vacuum cleaner and mop. But for those sticking with Shark, the PowerDetect Cordless Pet Vacuum Cleaner inspired by F1 The Movie has earned a 4.4-star rating after more than 240 reviews. One five-star review says: 'Great vacuum cleaner on all types of floors, even our thick pile rug that gets covered in dog hair very quickly. Great suction when needed. I love the auto-empty function, something I didn't know I needed.' Another says: 'My carpets have never looked this clean. The product wasn't cheap but it is a worthy investment. We have several cats and the hair was well trod in by this point however it cleaned it all up in one go. Very happy.' This users left a more mixed review, saying: 'Amazing suction, lovely design. Only downside is the battery capacity. Unfortunately it dies quickly and takes six hours to charge.' A third glowing review says: 'I have been a loyal Dyson customer for [ages], however, I have become a convert to Shark. The build, although heavier, is far more robust. Its detection is second to none and I love the light feature. The most impressive element is the auto empty function. You know you are getting a fresh bin each time so you know that your efforts have paid off.'

Amazon's slashes 33% off 'powerful' vacuum cleaner that 'makes cleaning faster'

Amazon has slashed 33% off a highly-rated vacuum cleaner that users say makes cleaning faster. The Ultenic U16 Flex Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has been reduced from £179.99 to £119.99 – a £60 saving. This model is said to boast 'turbocharged' suction power thanks to a brushless motor that delivers up to 50,000Pa, making it perfect for both hard floors and carpets. It features three suction modes, from low to high, allowing it to effectively deal with stubborn dirt, pet hair and embedded debris in carpets. Designed with pet owners in mind, the vacuum cleaner has an anti-tangle design in the brush head, similar to rival Shark vacuums. This feature not only protects floors but also extends the lifespan of the device. Another notable feature is the bendable tube, which allows users to clean under furniture without having to bend down. In addition to its flexibility, the vacuum cleaner offers extended reach, thanks to a nozzle that can extend up to 1.2m and an included crevice tool, making it easier to reach high areas or clean behind furniture. The Ultenic U16 also comes with green headlights in the brush head – making it easier to spot dust and dirt in darker areas – and a battery life of up to 60 minutes. The vacuum cleaner features an LED colour display that provides real-time updates on suction power, battery level and error alerts. While it doesn't have the automatic emptying function found in premium models like the Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum (£199.99), the Ultenic U16 offers an affordable alternative without compromising on performance. Another rival offer is £100 off the Hoover HF4 Hydro Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (£199), which includes a mopping feature for cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and other hard surfaces. However, for those preferring the Amazon bargain, the Ultenic U16 Flex Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has earned a 4.6-star rating from over 3,000 reviews, with 91% being four or five stars. One buyer commented: "This vacuum has made my cleaning routine faster and less tiring. "It's lightweight, very easy to manoeuvre and the flexible wand is a game changer for cleaning under furniture without having to bend down. The suction is excellent on hard floors and carpets – much better than I expected for a cordless vacuum in this price range. It's a fantastic product with thoughtful design and performance." Another said: "I've used this every day since I bought it and it does the job well. The suction is good and with the extra heads I can get into corners of my car and house. The battery life is great too, I've had it for over a week and only charged it once." This buyer was less enthusiastic, saying: "It's good value for money. My only criticism is the length of the brush tool is too short and the front of the dirt chamber keeps bumping against things when used in confined spaces." While another glowing review of the Ultenic vacuum read: "Powerful and convenient. This has been a game changer for my cleaning routine. It's lightweight and has surprisingly strong suction for a cordless model. Perfect for quick clean-ups and everyday use."
