Hair straightener from Frankie Bridge's go-to brand drops to Amazon lowest price

The Touch Iron from Cloud Nine is designed for shoppers with busy lifestyles and it's now dropped to the lowest price in the past 30 days on Amazon With a plethora of multi-stylers in the beauty world, hair straighteners remain a staple for beauty buffs when it comes to achieving shiny, sleek locks. Amazon has knocked the price off Frankie Bridge's go-to hair straightener to its "lowest price in 30 days". It's the Cloud Nine's The Touch Iron Hair Straightener Gold Edition. Currently reduced from £189 to £139, the buttonless hot iron heats instantly from the very first stroke, eliminating heat up time and saving shoppers time to style. When it comes to heat, the Harrogate-based haircare brand said "less is more", so the Touch Iron comes with Variable Temperature Control from 165°C to 195°C, which is perfect for a range of hair types. Beauty fans can style at the safest temperature that works for their hair. 'I'm a beauty writer - the new ghd curling wand gave me perfect waves in 15 mins' Next is selling beauty box with £90 worth of makeup, skincare and more for £20 One shopper was impressed with the result and shared: "My friend has these and offered to do my hair, five minutes later I had straight hair with shine. It's the shine that is the most impressive. I have not quite got her skill level but I did a passable attempt in 10 minutes or so. No aching arm and lots of shine. Really impressive and I'm ever so happy with them." Cloud Nine credited that to the ceramic mineral-infused floating plates as they help seal the hair's cuticle and lock in moisture for shiner hair. The plates are designed to minimise drag and friction on the hair to reduce split ends and breakage. Similarly, Dyson's Corrale Straightener also features manganese copper alloy plates that flex around the hair to gather it with less reliance on heat. Originally retailed at £399.99, it's now been reduced to £299.99 and it's available on the Blue/Copper and Bright Copper/Bright Nickel colourways. For a budget option, Revlon's One-Step Air Straight is a 2-in-1 hair dryer and hot iron that has Ceramic Tourmaline plates and teeth infused with Argan Oil to keep the hair glossy. It's stocked at Boots for £69.99. Amazon shoppers have rated the Cloud Nine The Touch Iron an impressive 4.7 out of five-stars in customer rating. One commented: "I've used ghd straighteners for years and Dyson, which were heavy to handle. I'm on Cloud 9. These are the best straighteners I've ever had, and they're lightweight, too. With naturally curly hair, these straighteners worked a treat." A second mentioned the touchless feature and explained: "They heat up in no time at all and yes they turn off automatically after about 30 seconds of inactivity, but I think that's a massive plus. No more leaving the house and worrying if you've left them on. "When the straighteners do turn off, you just press the plates together and they are instantly hot and ready to use again." But some were disappointed at the customer service and they struggled to contact the team for repairs. One mentioned a flaw in the touchless feature, saying: "Regarding the two temperature options, it is very easy to accidentally tap the straighteners together and change the temperature to the highest heat without realising." With the £50 discount, the Cloud Nine hair straightener is a great gift option and one shopper shared: "I purchased the Cloud Nine straighteners for my partner and she has been extremely pleased. She says they are her best set as yet. She changed from using ghd and says that Cloud Nine are by far the better straighteners."

How to Prevent Moths from Damaging Clothes & Carpets in Harrogate

Moths may seem harmless, but they can wreak havoc on your favorite garments and treasured home décor. If you've noticed mysterious holes in your wool sweaters or patches missing from your carpets, you're not alone. Many homeowners in Harrogate face this pesky problem. Effective moths control Harrogate is essential not just for aesthetics, but for hygiene and long-term property protection. In this blog, we'll explore actionable methods to protect your textiles, discuss the signs of moth infestation, and uncover why professional help is often the best route to total moth eradication. Moths, especially the Common Clothes Moth ( Tineola bisselliella ) and Carpet Moth ( Trichophaga tapetzella ), are drawn to natural fibers. They feed on keratin found in wool, silk, fur, and even feathers. Items that are stored, rarely used, or in dark, undisturbed corners are their favorite targets. While professional help is often necessary, there are several proactive steps you can take on your own: Vacuum regularly, especially under furniture and along carpet edges. Dust and vacuum storage areas like closets and drawers. Moth larvae thrive in undisturbed places filled with organic debris. Use airtight containers or vacuum-sealed bags for seasonal clothing. Store clean clothes only — sweat and food stains attract moths. Cedar blocks or lavender sachets are natural moth repellents. High humidity creates a breeding ground for moths. Use a dehumidifier or improve ventilation in wardrobes and storage rooms to keep moths at bay. The scent of cedar masks the smell of keratin, confusing moths and keeping them away. Though soothing to humans, moths hate its scent. Hang dried lavender or use lavender oil diffusers in storage spaces. Combine herbs like rosemary, thyme, and bay leaves for an all-natural moth-repelling mix. Despite your best efforts, moth infestations can be stubborn and widespread. That's where expert moths control Harrogate services come in. Professional pest control companies offer: Experts know where moths hide and breed. 1,000 mile classic car 'adventure' organised by York businessman for a good cause

A YORK-BASED businessman has organised a four-day classic car adventure in memory of a sporting icon and to raise funds for a good cause. Keith Stewart is spearheading Banger Challenge 2025 which involves participants buying a pre-1980 car for less than £3,000 and then driving it 1,000 miles consecutively, starting today (Monday, March 17). The drive, which set off from Fishergate in York before crossing the Humber Bridge and through the Lincolnshire Wolds, is in memory of Leeds Rhinos rugby league icon Rob Burrow and is raising funds for the centre which bears his name. 'We're all car nuts who have been inspired by Rhinos legend Rob's bravery in the face of MND and the long-distance running fundraising efforts of his former team-mate Kevin Sinfield. 'The fight against MND is also a cause that is very close to my heart because I lost one of my best friends to the disease in 2018 so I know just how cruel it can be and what a devastating impact it has.' The four-day, 1,000 mile event began today (March 17) (Image: Sean Spencer/Hull News & Pictures) The Banger Challenge 2025 sees a 1953 Ford and 1966 Singer head off on a 1,000-mile circuit in the name of the Seacroft Hospital unit which is due to open later this year. A 1972 Saab left Bath on Friday to do the same distance. All three cars are an unknown quantity as part of the challenge is to buy them, make them roadworthy and then sell them afterwards. Keith is co-driving the Ford with friend Geoff Gray while fellow retired businessmen Harrogate-based John Vause and Philip Oldfield, of Wakefield will take turns behind the steering wheel of the Singer. They will be joined by Saab duo Jon Langley and Geoff Pinch who headed up to Yorkshire from Bath to join their fellow motoring enthusiasts. Keith said the aim was to breakthrough the £9,000 barrier in the fundraising drive for the Rob Burrow MND Centre (Image: Sean Spencer/Hull News & Pictures) Keith said: 'The Rob Burrow MND project still has a funding gap which needs closing in order for the centre to open in September and that's why we're determined to go the extra mile for everyone affected by MND. 'We got by with some ropey old cars in 2022 but this year we're going all out to smash the £9,000 barrier because it's such an important cause. 'We really hope that we can do the memory of Rob proud with our fundraising efforts because we know that every pound we raise will bring the day we find a cure for MND that little bit closer."
