Journalist calls out Feroze Khan's unpunctuality

In a video clip shared by journalist Ambreen Fatima on Instagram on Monday, Feroze Khan was called out for arriving over two hours late to a press conference. Voicing her concerns directly to the star, Ambreen said, "We (the press) were repeatedly told to arrive by 3 PM, to not be late. In fact, we were told to arrive ahead of time."
The journalist further pointed out that the mainstream media had left the venue after waiting for hours. "Who makes these people the stars that they become? The media does," she said, to which Feroze interjected by arguing that it's the fans who do so. "Both the fans and media make them stars," Ambreen admitted.
As the dispute escalated, however, Feroze had more to say on the matter. "For the past few years, the media has been after me," he said, adding that the truest cause behind his success is Allah.
"Indeed, Allah blesses us all with all we have," Ambreen agreed. "But the media supports you. The fans make you who you are. And yet you keep us waiting."
Adding a new angle to the argument, Feroze said, "Actually, we didn't have hot water. No, I'm not joking. Ask anyone. I'm being completely serious." Despite the Khumar actor's insistence that he wasn't joking, the crowd roared with laughter.
However, the journalist's stance remained firm, even as she took to Instagram to clarify her position. "I probably wouldn't have posted this. But Feroze Khan uploaded a short clip of this encounter on Instagram Stories in an attempt to mislead people," she wrote.
"He made us wait at the event for over two hours. Even YouTuber Rahim Pardesi had been waiting since 3 PM. The mainstream media got fed up and left. Those who had been waiting this long had the right to question this," she wrote, stressing that a simple "sorry" wouldn't suffice and that these concerns shouldn't be brushed under the rug.
While the discord divided netizens on who was in the wrong, Feroze's sister and actor Humaima Malik rushed to her brother's defence online. "Whether it's an actor, a star, a celebrity, a TikToker or a YouTuber, the media doesn't make us. Our fans do. Media is only a way for us to connect with people. Our fans make us who we are. Wouldn't you agree?" she posed in a video clip shared to Instagram.
In response, some users pointed out that without the media, celebrities wouldn't have fans. Others believed that Feroze should have just offered a sincere apology and moved on. "The narrative about being unprofessionally late. That was the main issue. But it has shifted to whether or not the media makes stars," a user wrote.
