Soccer Aid took to Instagram to give Roberts a big welcome, writing, "From Hollywood to the Theatre of Dreams ⚽️ Welcome to Old Trafford, Julia Roberts! 💫" alongside a video of the actress posing and mingling with Vicky McClure, soccer manager Wayne Rooney and professional player Harry Maguire.
Maguire shared additional photos with the actress in an Instagram post celebrating the Unicef event, calling it "amazing" and "for a brilliant cause ❤️."
While Roberts' appearance caused quite a stir, fans couldn't stop raving about one standout piece of clothing.
"The jacket!!! ⚽️🙌" one fan wrote, as another doubled down, "Love the jacket Julia!"
"That blazer is 🔥," someone else exclaimed.
The comments complimented Roberts' red blazer emblazoned with soccer balls. It's one only Roberts could pull off, pairing the themed top with black slacks while letting her signature reddish locks form loose waves around her face. She brought the outfit together with thick-framed glasses.
"Julia Robert actually knows real football? Awesome!" another fan wrote, as a second added, "You gotta love Julia ❤️"
Elsewhere, someone tweaked Roberts' famous Notting Hill quote, writing, "And don't forget... I'm also just a girl, standing in front of the boys... asking them to win games 🙏"
A handful of comments also mentioned football manager Pep Guardiola, noting he must be "fuming" and "crying" seeing Roberts visiting the club, as he previously revealed she's one of his "idols," but she never came to see his team.Iconic Actress, 57, Surprises With Rare Appearance at Sports Event—And Fans Can't Get Over Her Brilliant Outfit first appeared on Parade on Jun 16, 2025

Bolton Wanderers complete deal for Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry
WANDERERS have signed Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry on a season-long loan. The 20-year-old Londoner spent last season with Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, making 23 appearances in all competitions and scoring once. Advertisement He cut his teeth at Arsenal, leaving the Gunners in 2024 to sign for Brighton, and was immediately sent out to Ewood Park to gain more experience. Left footed, Cozier-Duberry has played a lot of football on the right side of the attack but can play centrally and down the left. On signing for the club on loan, Amario Cozier-Duberry said: 'I'm feeling good and I'm really happy to be here. "There wasn't much of a decision for me to make because once I had spoken to Fergal and Steven, my mind was made up. The conversations were good and they spoke about how much they believe in me and had faith in me, and I want to show that on the pitch. Advertisement "The club has big ambitions, and I'm proud to be part of such a big club. I can't wait to get in, interact with the lads and get going." Head Coach Steven Schumacher said: 'Amario is another exciting signing for us and we are thrilled to welcome him to the Football Club. 'He arrives with huge amounts of potential and the staff and I are really looking forward to working with him and helping him to develop and grow as both a person and a player. 'Having tracked him closely for a while, we know he is someone who loves to attack and have the ball at his feet - and like Thierry - offers us a profile of player that we have been looking for throughout this summer. Advertisement "With his previous experiences, especially playing in the Championship last season, we know he has the ability to succeed in a Bolton shirt. With our pre-season trip just around the corner, Amario arrives at the perfect time to easily bed into the playing group ahead of the upcoming campaign.'

F1 British GP live updates: Silverstone qualifying next, Bearman handed huge penalty for pit lane crash
Follow live coverage as Silverstone hosts Round 12 of the 2025 Formula One world championship Getty Images Silverstone hosts Round 12 of the 2025 Formula One world championship this weekend, with the iconic British Grand Prix. Lando Norris closed the gap on his McLaren teammate in the drivers' championship standings with a supreme win in Austria last weekend. The Brit also topped the free practice timings yesterday, leading FP2 with a 1:25.816. But there is a challenge coming from Ferrari this weekend, triggered by Lewis Hamilton's FP1-leading lap of 1:26.892 and then with Charles Leclerc fastest in FP3 earlier today (1:25.498) ahead of qualifying later. You can follow all the live action and reaction below. Join the conversation: live@ GO FURTHER Silverstone track breakdown: The British GP makes F1 drivers feel like jet pilots ⏰ 8:33 Session stopped. We've got some debris on the track. ⏰ 10:12 Sorry, did I forget about the Ferrari challenge for a moment? Charles Leclerc isn't having that. He's back at the top of the timings with a 1:25.498. Which now highlights the fact Lewis Hamilton is more than eight-tenths off that time, back in P11 right now. ⏰ 14:07 It's getting fun now. Charles Leclerc's leading time of 1:25.922 is beaten by Lando Norris. Then Oscar Piastri does likewise, with a 1:25.566 that is the quickest lap of the weekend so far. Max Verstappen wrestles everything out of his Red Bull for a trip — and splits the two McLarens. The top three cars are all within four-hundredths of a second. Boy, does this bode well for qualifying. ⏰ 17:56 It's getting testy out there. Now Liam Lawson and Peirre Gasly have a bit of an exchange on track. Lawson is onto the radio to shoot off, but it's Lawson's actions that have been noted by Race Control for driving erratically. ⏰ 19:58 Alex Albon channels his inner Max Verstappen and gets frustrated with a meandering Lance Stroll on the racing line. In fairness, the Canadian deserved it. ⏰ 21:52 Credit here for Oliver Bearman, another Brit at his home race, who is currently P6 and within seven-tenths of the quickest time this season. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc says there is a little bit of rain around Copse. A little reminder there that summer in the UK means nothing in terms of weather reliability. ⏰ 24:31 Max Verstappen is back on the radio complaining about his brakes. He has also waved at Pierre Gasly for what he felt was the Alpine getting in his way on a flying lap. Still, the Dutchman is closest to Charles Leclerc's session-leading time. Getty Images ⏰ 31:47 More cars means more can be read into the times, and right now that Ferrari potential is shining through again. Charles Leclerc is fastest, just clocking a 1:25.922 — although still a tenth shy of Lando Norris' quickest time yesterday. Max Verstappen, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli complete the current top four. McLaren at the moment look a little off it. ⏰ 36:12 A moment for Lance Stroll at Woodcote, as the rear of his Aston Martin starts stepping out — and so begins a battle to keep the car pointing forward. He manages it, but the lap is done and the tires are wrecked from a peak performance perspective. And just like that, we also have timed laps for all 20 cars and 17 of them out on track right now. ⏰ 42:01 We're still a little light on cars in FP3. We're up to six drivers with a timed lap now. But there are a lot of drivers heading out, including Lando Norris' McLaren. And there's a lovely moment as Norris gives a big wave to the Landostand at Stowe, as he cruises around on his out lap. Huge support here for the Brit this weekend, in particular. Actually, I wonder how Lewis Hamilton feels about there being a Landostand… Getty Images ⏰ 49:12 Slow going, this FP3 so far. Only three cars have completed a timed lap, and two of them are Alpines. The other is Lewis Hamilton. All of those runs have been on the soft tire — which will come into its own in qualifying later, of course. ⏰ 54:18 Zak Brown currently speaking to Sky Sports from the pit wall, confirmed he did indeed clock how many marbles there were out on the circuit when he did his lap in that iconic Williams car. Hence the delay in the start to FP3. All calm after yesterday's practice at McLaren — but Brown definitely has eyes on Ferrari today and tomorrow, saying its one-lap and longer stint pace is impressive. He clearly sees the red cars as contenders to win at Silverstone this weekend. ⏰ 59:59 Delay done, green lights at the end of the pit lane and Alpine cars swiftly on the track. FP3 is underway! There were a few classic cars taken around the Silverstone track ahead of FP3 — including McLaren CEO Zak Brown driving Nigel Mansell's 1987 Williams F1 charger. And it sounds like that may be responsible for the extra rubber out there, as well as our slight delay. As for the weather, it looks much cooler but just as windy at Silverstone — if not more so. The direction could well flip between today and tomorrow too. So many challenges for these teams. Now then… Race Control has stated the start of FP3 will be delayed. But no word on how long or why — although there are still marshals out on the track clearing loads of 'marbles' from the track. 'Marbles' being small pieces of rubber that come off the tires as they degrade around the track. And now it is confirmed — the delay will only be five minutes. One more hour of rehearsals left — and it starts in five minutes. LET'S GO… Formula 1 It's not quite double the points tally of its nearest rival, but McLaren isn't far off it now. To be honest, there won't be anyone else winning the constructors' championship this season in my view — which I first declared yesterday. And yes, I know we're not even halfway through the schedule. The real fun is behind them, with Ferrari just a point ahead of Mercedes and Red Bull still no nearer finding a point-scoring second driver behind Max Verstappen. There is also only one point between Haas in P7 and Aston Martin behind, while Sauber just two points further back (26). Alpine remains the real struggler, stuck on 11 points at the back of the field and desperate for better. Quickly. Formula 1 It's looking tight at the top — but you can see why it's all about McLaren and no one else. Oscar Piastri's lead is now down to 15 points from Lando Norris, with the pair way clear of Max Verstappen in third. Below Lewis Hamilton, you will find Kimi Antonelli (63 points) while Nico Hulkenberg's 22 points and P10 in his Sauber is arguably the performance of the season so far. Alpine's Franco Colapinto (like the driver he replaced after six races, Jack Doohan) is the only driver on the grid this weekend yet to pick up a championship point.
