Wanted man, teen arrested, guns seized after police chase in stolen SUV ends in Gresham
Just before 6 p.m., patrol officers saw a stolen Land Rover Defender driving along Northeast Glisan Street from Northeast 126th Avenue.
After pulling the SUV over at Northeast Hoyt and 162nd Avenue, officers identified the driver as 20-year-old Quahar Bell, who had outstanding warrants for escaping from police custody and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police said Bell then drove away, but officers deflated the Rover's tires using spike strips.
Bell and two passengers then abandoned the SUV in the 16300 block of Northeast Wasco Street in Gresham.
PPB and Gresham officers established a perimeter, also using drones and a PPB K9 to track them.
Although all three were eventually found and taken into custody, one was later released, police said.
Additionally, officers recovered one firearm inside the car and another while tracking the suspects.
Bell was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges including unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, attempting to elude police, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, possession of a stolen vehicle, as well as his prior warrants.
A 17-year-old boy was booked into the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm in public.

Detroit-area man accused stealing truck and trailer from high school
A Warren, Michigan, man is facing charges for allegedly stealing a truck and trailer from Warren Mott High School, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office. Matthew Gonzales, 45, was arraigned on Wednesday for larceny of $20,000 or more, unlawfully driving a motor vehicle, third-degree fleeing police and operating with a suspended or revoked license. Gonzales received a $1 million cash/surety bond and must receive a substance abuse evaluation. If released, he is ordered to wear a steel cuff tether and submit to random drug testing. Prosecutors say on Tuesday, July 29, a Warren Consolidated School employee working at the high school spotted someone getting into the Chevy Silverado and driving away. Attached to the truck was a trailer that had three lawn mowers, a chainsaw and a backpack blower belonging to the district, according to a news release. Responding officers located the vehicle on Mound Road and attempted a traffic stop. However, the driver refused to stop, resulting in a police chase to Mount Elliot and E. Lantz streets in Detroit. Gonzales was taken into custody. "Stealing a truck and trailer from a school in broad daylight is a serious offense, made worse by the suspect's decision to flee from police. This reckless behavior endangered the public and showed a clear disregard for the law and community safety. Our office will pursue appropriate charges. We're committed to ensuring accountability and thank local officers for their swift response," said Prosecutor Peter Lucido in a statement. Gonzales's next court hearing is Aug. 12.

Parents of students speak out about Andrew McGann's 'eerie' behavior following murder arrest
WEST FORK, Ark. (KFOR) — 28-year-old Andrew McGann went to college in Oklahoma, getting his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. News 4 spoke with parents from a school where he worked in Texas, who describe his behavior with students as 'eerie.' Communities across Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas are shaken to the core after the arrest of the 28-year-old man from Springdale, AR. 'It shook me…like that's McGann, that's the guy that my kid was around every week at school,' said Lindsay Polyak, parent of a student who attended Donald Elementary in Flower Mound, TX. McGann was arrested while getting a haircut at an Arkansas salon. Police say he's allegedly behind the killings of the Arkansas married couple, Clinton (43) and Cristen (41) Blink, at Devil's Den State Park over the weekend. You may be wondering how McGann has ties to Oklahoma. Records show he graduated from OSU Tulsa in the Spring semester of 2022 and became a teacher at Donald Elementary in Flower Mound, Texas, that fall, for the 2022-2023 school year. He then taught for Broken Arrow Public Schools and Sand Springs before moving to Arkansas. Polyak described McGann as a 'sick pervert.' Polyak and another parent, Megan, who asked News 4 to conceal her last name, tell us McGann's behavior was unusual. 'I heard from my son that there were girls that Mr. McGann would tickle,' Polyak said. Polyak added, 'I started hearing other things from parents whose kids were in his classroom full time, alleging that during lunch time, when all the kids went to the cafeteria, he would invite special girls to stay back and to have lunch with him in his classroom.' 'Everything just kind of got swept under the rug,' Megan said. Polyak said, 'If he could have just been terminated by our district, that would have been on his record, that would have raised suspicions and questions by the next districts that he went to. But it wasn't.' McGann was set to teach at a school in Arkansas this fall, but hadn't made contact with any parents or students. McGann now faces two counts of Capital Murder charges. Female teacher in affluent Florida city accused of inappropriate relationship with teen girl
A Florida high school teacher was arrested for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old female student. Molly Mersereau, 36, who was employed by the Santa Rosa County School District, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts of use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, felony criminal solicitation in the second degree and felony engagement in a romantic relationship with a student by a school authority. The investigation began after a CrimeStoppers tip was sent to the Gulf Breeze Police Department, according to officials. The case was then transferred to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office. While Mersereau's profile is no longer listed on the Gulf Breeze High School website, sources told Fox News Digital she was a hospitality and tourism academy teacher in the affluent Florida Panhandle city. Mersereau also served as a coach for the girls soccer team, sources said. The sheriff's office said the case remains under investigation. "The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office takes all allegations involving the welfare of minors and the integrity of public trust seriously," according to a statement. Santa Rosa County District Schools did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
