A YOUNG woman was miraculously rescued after being swept 20 miles downriver in floods that have killed at least 24 and left 25 young girls missing.
The 22-year-old was scooped up by fast-moving water from her campsite in Kerr County, Texas by deadly flash floods at 4am, and found clinging to a tree four hours later.

A third of a year's worth of rain fell in a few hours in the area, creating an "extraordinary disaster", with an enormous search-and-rescue mission still underway.
A resident of Center Point heard screaming when he stepped into his yard at around 8am on Friday morning.
He spotted the woman clinging to a huge Cyprus tree near Lion's Park Dam as the river thundered beneath her.
She had for been holding on for several hours after a terrifying 20-mile journey down dams and dodging debris.
Emergency calls weren't connecting, so the local resident desperately flagged down a police car for help.
Two rescue boats were scrambled and battled perilous currents to rescue the stranded camper.
By this time, the water level had receded considerably, so the woman was stranded 12ft above the water's surface.
She was forced to drop into the rescue boat, and was finally brought to safety.
Other members of the woman's family had been camping with her and were swept away when they tried to escape in a car.
Their condition is not yet clear.

The woman had suffered only minor injuries during her hellish journey downstream.
She recounted plunging down four dams and fighting refrigerators, vehicle and other debris along the way.
There are hopes that others missing after floods will be found clinging on somewhere like this woman.
Rescue teams were working through Friday night in a desperate bid to locate two dozens girls who were swept away from Camp Mystic - and all-girls summer camp by the Guadeloupe River.

The camp said on Friday morning that the parents of missing children had been notified, but that most of the 750 kids were safe.
Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick said on Friday afternoon of the missing girls: "That does not mean they've been lost. They could be in a tree or out of communication."
Frantic parents and families posted photos of missing loved ones and pleas for information.
Local media has confirmed that among the missing girls are 9-year-old Laiey Landry, friends Eloise Peck and Lila Bonner, and Renee Smajstrla from the same cabin
The authorities have drafted in helicopters, specialised swimmers, drones and military vehicles in the hope of finding the girls alive.
Elinor Lester, 13, who was at the camp when the flood hit said it had been completely destroyed.

She said: "A helicopter landed and started taking people away. It was really scary."
Addressing the floods, President Trump said: "It's terrible, the floods. It's shocking."
Asked if Texas would received federal aid, he said: "Oh yeah, sure, we'll take care of it. We're working with the governor."
The flooding in the middle of the night on the Fourth of July holiday caught many residents, campers and officials by surprise.
The Texas Hill Country, which sits northwest of San Antonio, is a popular spot for camping and swimming, especially around the summertime holiday.
Questions have been raised about whether enough warnings and preparations were made.
Officials defended their actions while saying they had not expected such an intense downpour.
Even more heavy rain was expected on Saturday, meaning flash flood warnings and watches remained in place for parts of central Texas.

Betro allegedly flew in from Wisconsin in the United States as part of the plot, the court heard. An attempted shooting of a man outside his home, the shooting of bullets through the windows of that home, and the posting of illegal bullets from the USA to the UK." Mr Walkling said Betro was in contact with Nazir before she flew to Manchester Airport in August 2019. He said Betro had two phones - a normal "day to day" phone which she used regularly - and a "dirty phone" - bought before the shooting. Jurors were told that on August Betro also went to Birmingham and hired a Mercedes C Class car from Enterprise at Birmingham Airport. The car was later involved in a three car collision in Derby with Mohammed Nazir and another woman. Both later received insurance payouts, the court heard. She then stayed at a hotel in Derby for two nights before travelling to London and Brighton before returning to Birmingham and then back to Derby. The court was played a video clip - from Nazir's phone - showing a gun being fired into the ground three days before the attempted shooting in Birmingham which prosecutors said was a bid to "test" the weapon. The cold-hearted driver from Chesterfield then sped off without stopping and was so intoxicated he didn't even realise he had fatally hit a pedestrian. Byrne left members of the public to help Slinn but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Footage shown in court showed Byrne inhaling nitrous oxide gas from a yellow balloon several times while driving, before and after the collision. Slinn was a retired builder who was a keen singer in a local church and a valued member of the community. He was weeks away from celebrating his Diamond Wedding anniversary with his wife when he was killed. During Byrne's hearing, the courtroom heard he was a disqualified driver, driving without a license and insurance and using a false cloned number plate on the car. South Yorkshire Police were able to identify Byrne as having connections to the car with a false registration plate and he was arrested before being released on bail. Senior Officer in the case Chief Inspector Tom Woodward said: "We spent hours trawling footage to piece together the car's movements, while others were working hard to find the car, which was later found burned out in the Derbyshire area." A breakthrough came when officers tracked the car from the collision to an an address several miles away. CI Woodward added: "Our aim was to ensure he could never harm anyone in our communities again.' Byrne was re-arrested on April 12 in Derbyshire and brought back to South Yorkshire custody where he was questioned by detectives. Byrne answered "no comment" throughout even when Slinn's family tribute was read aloud to him. However, he knew the evidence was stacked against him and pleaded guilty at a hearing in May. The court also heard how Byrne had convictions for 27 previous offences, including dangerous driving, despite having no driving license. Byrne was sentenced to 16 and a half years in prison after admitting causing death by dangerous driving and other offences. CI Woodward said: 'Our thoughts remain with Graham's family and friends, and I hope today's sentencing brings them some further closure knowing Byrne will now face a lengthy time in prison. 'We know those involved in criminality are likely to take greater risks and Byrne's behaviour is a true reflection of this and why the work of our roads policing officers is greatly important." Sentencing Byrne, Judge Richardson KC said inhaling nitrous oxide was an "exceptionally dangerous act while driving", and told Byrne that Slinn had "died of grievous injuries inflicted by your truly appalling driving". Richardson told Byrne: "You are a dangerous offender. "The public must be protected from your deviant, dangerous, and ingrained criminal behaviour."
