Reward over Leeds nightclub attack causing man's hearing loss

A reward for information has been offered following an assault in a nightclub bathroom which left a man with permanent hearing damage.The victim suffered a serious head injury when he was attacked and left unconscious in Popworld on Cookridge Street, Leeds, at about 00:00 GMT on 15 December, according to West Yorkshire Police.The Crimestoppers charity has offered up to £2,500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the man's attacker.Gemma Gibbs, Crimestoppers regional manager, said: "You may think your information is insignificant. However, it could make all the difference."
"There are likely witnesses who have information about this assault and know who was responsible," she added."I would like to urge them to speak to our charity 100% anonymously, so whoever is responsible can be brought to justice."Crimestoppers said it could not trace people's calls or IP addresses and guaranteed the anonymity of anyone who got in touch.Meanwhile, West Yorkshire Police has released an image of a man officers said they wanted to speak to in connection with the incident.Det Con Glyn Gill, leading the inquiry, said: "We are continuing to investigate this serious incident which has left the victim with lasting damage."In particular we are appealing to anyone who can help us identify the man pictured in the CCTV image who we want to speak to in connection with this incident."

The said he was previously apart of an organised crime group that targeted and recruited a vulnerable schoolboy to work as a "runner" dealing drugs on the streets. ‌ In 2023, Henshall pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, as well as conspiracy to traffic under the Modern Slavery Act. He was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison. The statement reads: "A reward of up to £1,000 is available for the anonymous information on the whereabouts of Justin Henshall. Tell the independent charity Crimestoppers what you know on the phone or online and stay 100% anonymous. Always." The second, Thomas Saunders, aged between 30 and 35 is also from the Newport area. An urgent manhunt is underway for an on-the-run prisoner who was last seen boarding a train almost one month ago. Liam Slater, age 33, absconded from HMP Hatfield in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, on Sunday, May 18, at 6.13pm. He was last seen boarding a train to Leeds at Stainforth station at 8.46pm with police warning members of the public not to approach him. Police say he has links to Wetherby and Seacroft in Leeds and want to hear from anyone who has seen or spoken to Slater recently. The forced added: 'If you see Slater, please do not approach him but instead call 999'. A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: 'If you have any other information about where he might be, you can contact us online or by calling 101.
