Lake Jacksonville, Lake Tyler temporarily closes due to heavy rainfall
TYLER, Texas (KETK)– Lake Jacksonville, Lake Tyler and Lake Tyler East announced Thursday morning that they have all temporarily closed due to heavy rainfall and high water levels.
According to the City of Jacksonville, the lake is currently closed to the public until further notice because of high water levels to ensure the safety of residents and visitors. 'Please be advised that high water levels may be present on some area roadways,' the city said. 'Motorists are urged to exercise caution and avoid driving through standing or moving water.'
Thursday Morning Forecast: Another round of storms
The City of Tyler said Lake Tyler and Lake Tyler East has temporarily closed all public boat ramps because of boating hazards resulting from debris washed into the lakes by the recent rains and to reduce damage from the shoreline erosion caused by boat wakes.
City officials explained that the ramps will be closed until further notice and Tyler Water Utilities anticipates reopening the ramps once lake levels lowers.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Happy Friday the 13th! Congratulations, you've made it to the end of the week. Clouds will hold on throughout the morning hours before starting to clear for the afternoon hours. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler for the day, only reaching the mid to upper 60s for highs, about 10 degrees cooler than our average for this time of the year. A chance of an isolated shower or two is possible throughout the overnight hours. Saturday early morning is likely to start off a bit wet, but the rain will quickly move south of the city of Rochester. For the rest of the day, you can expect a mixture of sun and clouds with temperatures, again, only reaching the mid to upper 60s. Father's Day will likely be warmer than the days prior with temperatures expected to climb back into the low to mid 70s. A chance of an isolated shower or two is possible throughout the day, but otherwise clouds look to remain dominate. Bristol to repaint 4th of July parade route lines red, white and blue
BRISTOL, R.I. (WPRI) — The town of Bristol is getting ready for the historic Fourth of July parade that is just three weeks away. The red, white, and blue stripes that mark the parade route on Hope and High streets will be repainted next week. They get repainted every year since it's water-based paint, unlike traditional street paint. Bristol police said temporary parking restrictions will be in place on Hope Street between Washington and Union streets starting Sunday and continuing through Monday, June 23. Restrictions will be in effect nightly from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Hope Street is the only state highway in the country that is legally allowed to have patriotic tri-colored stripes all year round. Bristol, home of America's Oldest Continuous Fourth of July Celebration, doesn't observe the holiday on just one single day. The celebration officially starts on Flag Day, June 14. Over the next few weeks, the town will have free outdoor concerts, a firefighters' muster, the Fourth of July Ball, a carnival, fireworks and many other events. The celebration ends on July 4 with the Military, Civic and Firemen's Parade, which draws about 200,000 people to a town of roughly 22,000 people.
