Travis Kelce's Coach Andy Reid Reacts to His Body Transformation
Travis Kelce is ready for the next NFL season.
In fact, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said the 35-year-old now "looks like he's 20" after working on his physique during the off-season.
"He's svelte right now," Reid told reporters July 24. "He's doing a great job. He's in great shape."
The 67-year-old continued of Kelce, "You can see he's been working out."
Indeed, the tight end has been focused on transforming his body since losing the 2025 Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles in February. As he previously put it, "I am down some weight from the end of the season last year."
"This year, I got some time to work on some form running and some things early on in the offseason that I just didn't have time for last year," Kelce shared at a June press conference. "I'm certainly feeling good, and hopefully it'll pay off."

In addition, Kelce has also been enjoying his downtime with girlfriend Taylor Swift. As seen in photos shared on Instagram July 24, the couple of nearly two years went on a snowy vacation to Montana with and Charissa Thompson and threw a summer boat party complete with matching "Captain" and "First Mate" hats.
"Had some adventures this offseason," Kelce wrote in the caption. "Kept it 100."
And the athlete is grateful to have the "Blank Space" singer in his life.
"I'm not here to hide anything," Kelce told Barstool Sports' Bussin' With The Boys podcast in June. "That's my girl. That's my lady. I'm proud of that, so I'm not sitting here trying to juggle, like, 'How can I keep this under wraps?'"
"We're just enjoying life," he added. "We're having fun with it, man, being a couple."

Mullins robs Sánchez of home run in what may have been the outfielder's last home game for Orioles
If this was the final home game for Cedric Mullins in Baltimore, he gave the fans at Camden Yards one more spectacular highlight in center field. Mullins made a leaping, backhanded catch well above the wall to rob Ali Sánchez of a home run in the sixth inning Wednesday, although the Orioles ended up losing anyway, 9-8 to the Toronto Blue Jays. 'Just timing. Understand where the wall is, understand kind of how you have to gauge it, and timing it up,' Mullins said. 'It's not like I really practice it. Just kind of a feel.' The trade deadline is Thursday, when the Orioles have the day off. Mullins was outstanding in the field during this homestand and went 9 for 20 at the plate, including a single and a double Wednesday. However, in his last at-bat Wednesday, he struck out with the bases loaded and one out in the seventh, and the Orioles never did get the tying run home. Mullins is in his eighth major league season, all with the Orioles. His 30-30 campaign in 2021 was a bright spot during a terrible season in Baltimore, and he remained a factor as the Orioles became a playoff team in 2023 and 2024. Now Baltimore is in last place, so he's one of several players who wait to find out if they'll be dealt at the deadline. 'I think everyone in this clubhouse is going to have a big sigh of relief when it's over, regardless of what comes down,' Mullins said. On Sánchez's drive, Mullins made a running leap, then used his left hand atop the wall to propel himself even higher before snagging the ball in his glove, landing and beginning his jog back to the dugout — all seemingly in one motion. 'I wish he would stop doing that," Blue Jays manager John Schneider said. "That one was really impressive, and he made it look easy." ___ AP MLB: Noah Trister, The Associated Press

They're happy campers as UCLA opens training sessions in cool, breezy Costa Mesa
It was 68 degrees and overcast, a cool coastal breeze wafting across the practice fields, when UCLA commenced its first off-campus football training camp in nearly a decade. San Bernardino, this was not. With 55 newcomers dotting a roster of 105, not to mention eight new assistant coaches, the Bruins' camp that started in Costa Mesa on Wednesday morning was more about togetherness than toughness in the triple-digit temperatures of the Inland Empire. Every offensive player was matched with a roommate from the defense or special teams. A series of bonding exercises was planned inside and outside the nearby team hotel. Everything the Bruins do over the next 2½ weeks will be of the get-to-know-you variety. 'I have a lot of tough guys, but it's more of the connection, you know?' coach DeShaun Foster said. 'There's a lot of new coaches and players, so I just wanted to find a way to make us be able to connect a little bit more, you know? To be able to eat three meals with each other and just get close.' Foster said the football facilities at Cal State San Bernardino that the Bruins had last used in 2016 weren't available, forcing the move to his native Orange County. After going through the initial two-hour practice, temperatures topping out at 75 degrees, the consensus was that the Jack R. Hammett Sports Complex felt more like a day at the beach than one inside a sauna. 'In the beginning, it was a little humid,' linebacker Isaiah Chisom said, 'but the sun came out, it was beautiful out here.' Read more: Can UCLA sustain its buzz? Five questions Bruins must address going into training camp The facilities included three grass fields, a makeshift locker room under one tent and a makeshift weight room under another. Trainers set up near the field, unfurling folding tables next to carts of supplies. Fences lining the field were adorned with signage reflecting the Bruins mantras — 'Discipline, Respect and Enthusiasm' and 'Do More.' There was the usual training-camp cadence. Whistles blew and on cue, players wrapped up foam pads and dragged them to the ground. After another whistle signaled the start of stretching, a roar rang out. Players dropped to their knees to commence a series of body bends, twisting their arms and shoulders one way and then the other. After a series of leg stretches, new defensive line coach Jethro Franklin offered an opening salvo to a group of nearby players. 'Bruin football,' Franklin said, 'should not be for the timid or the weak.' During the 25-minute media viewing period, new quarterback Nico Iamaleava made a couple of handoffs to running backs, including one to Anthony Woods for a short touchdown, and threw one pass into the end zone that fell incomplete. 'He slings it,' tight end Jack Pedersen said of Iamaleava's throwing style. 'It's a nice, firm spiral, man, and the guy doesn't miss. Literally, can't say enough great things.' Before the training session, Foster said he was confident Iamaleava had sufficiently mastered the offense after enrolling in June. 'He's pretty much grasped the playbook already,' Foster said of the transfer from Tennessee. 'We haven't had to hold back on anything. And I know at least he has these first two installs down pretty well. So just looking forward to getting out there and just watching him.' The practice was staged in relative secrecy. Other than a handful of donors and a few city officials from Costa Mesa, fans were not allowed to attend like they had been in San Bernardino, where they sometimes lined multiple practice fields. The six reporters on hand Wednesday were barred from taking photos or videos of even the warm-up periods. Foster said training camp was about preparation, not publicity. 'We're here to work,' he said. 'We've got 16 days to come out and really be able to put a good product out there on the field.' This is a business trip complete with bed checks and a curfew. Chisom is rooming with running back Anthony Frias II and has a connecting door attached to the room of linebacker Ben Perry and running back Troy Leigber, providing ample opportunities to learn about new teammates. Read more: 'It came down to me wanting to be back home': Nico Iamaleava details move to UCLA 'I think it makes us build brotherhood,' Chisom said. 'You're staying with some people that you may have never talked to before … it kind of forces us to be close.' The schedule called for an off day Thursday to accommodate players' final exam schedules, one of four breaks interspersed among the 14 practices before the team breaks camp on Aug. 16. The Bruins hope that by the time they return to campus, the installation of a new 100-yard grass practice field alongside two smaller artificial turf fields will be complete. If not, they'll have new friends to commiserate with as they shift practices elsewhere on campus. 'This is a great opportunity to spend 2 1/2 weeks with a guy you don't really know, right?' said Pedersen, who is rooming with defensive back Croix Stewart. 'Being able to branch out, I think it's really cool that they do this, and this is now getting an opportunity to meet other guys on the team and branch out and make those lifelong connections.' Etc. Although a judge denied wide receiver Kaedin Robinson's request for a temporary restraining order that would have granted him immediate eligibility, Foster said his confidence level remained in the '90s percent' that Robinson could play for the Bruins this season. Robinson, a transfer from Appalachian State, has a preliminary injunction hearing set for Aug. 18 that will decide whether he'll be cleared to play. … Freshman defensive lineman Robert James III maneuvered the area on a scooter, his lower right leg encased in a protective boot. … Luke Duncan took the snaps as the top backup quarterback. … Foster said offensive lineman Weston Port had commenced a Mormon mission and was expected to return by the spring of 2027. Ted Cruz Is Weirdly Invested In The Backlash To Sydney Sweeney's Jeans Ad
Add Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) to the chorus of conservatives who are defending Sydney Sweeney amid heated backlash to her American Eagle campaign. On Tuesday, the Texas Republican offered a snide, politically charged take on the controversy on X, formerly Twitter. 'Wow. Now the crazy Left has come out against beautiful women,' Cruz wrote alongside a New York Post article about the campaign. 'I'm sure that will poll well...' He doubled down on his remarks while appearing on Fox News in a segment that aired later on Tuesday, using the Sweeney furor as an example of 'how extreme' he feels the Democratic Party has become. 'This week the Democrats have decided, with the Sydney Sweeney jeans ad, that they hate beautiful women,' he said. 'That's just a little nuts for them to say, 'I'm sorry, we're the Democrats. Beautiful women are no longer acceptable in our society.'' Sweeney, best known for her portrayal of Cassandra 'Cassie' Howard on HBO's 'Euphoria,' has faced a barrage of criticism this week following the release of her American Eagle ads, which play off the words 'genes' and 'jeans.' 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color,' the actor explains in one of the ads. 'My jeans are blue.' A narrator then reads the tagline: 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.' Though the ad seems to be an intended as an homage to Brooke Shields' 1980 Calvin Klein campaign ― also controversial for its time ― some fans on social media felt it contained white supremacist undertones. Watch one of Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle ads below. 'Having Sydney Sweeney talk about her genes/jeans is already a bad look for American Eagle, but calling her genes/jeans 'blue' takes it even further, hinting at 'blue blood,' a term historically tied to whiteness and aristocratic lineage,' the Instagram account Style Analytics wrote. 'It's a nod to eugenics, aligning the brand with the growing conservative/right-wing/white supremacy movement ... This is just one way brands have recently been attempting to plaicate to conservatives.' Many echoed those sentiments, including one TikTok user who called the ad 'what happens when you have a bunch of white folk who all look and think the same.' Added another on X: 'This is so Hitler like what.' Neither Sweeney nor American Eagle have yet to respond to the criticism over the campaign. Cruz, however, is among a growing number of conservatives, including White House Communications Director Steven Cheung and former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, in defending the ads. Related...
