Yogeeta Bali Chakraborty returns to acting after 40 years
According to the Bollywood Hungama report, Namashi Chakraborty is directing a web mini-series called Toasted- Ek Kadak Love Story. He will also act in this web mini series along with his parents, Mithun Chakraborty and Yogita Bali Chakraborty. This marks Yogita's return to screens after 38 years.
Directed by Namashi, the movie will be produced under his banner, Myrnd Movies. Speaking about this film, Namashi told the portal, "Toasted is a love story set in Mumbai."
The series is a slice-of-life, light-hearted romantic comedy. He even revealed that they haven't finalized the female lead for Toasted. The filming of Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali Chakraborty's starrer is set to begin on November 3, 2025.
Speaking about his forthcoming projects, Namashi said, "This year, as an actor, I have wrapped The Delhi Files. Viraat will go on until July end. And there's Ghost: A Haunting Love Story as well. That's three feature films."
With this, fans will be in for a treat to see Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali Chakraborty together on-screen after nearly 4 decades.
Mithun Chakraborty is a veteran actor whose stardom has remained unmatched. He gained massive success and fame after portraying versatile roles in many films. War 2 Movie Release Date: In the biggest cinematic showdown of the year, director Ayan Mukerji's action thriller War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, is set to lock horns with Lokesh Kanagaraj's Rajinikanth-led Coolie. While theatre owners across the country are hopeful that this would propel their business to loftier heights after the musical romantic drama Saiyaara effectively ended the dry spell, moviegoers are ecstatic and all set to turn this weekend into a festive affair. A sequel to Siddharth Anand's War (2019), the Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer serves as the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. Given that it follows Salman Khan's Tiger 3 (2023), the last movie in the franchise that fell short of expectations and ultimately became an average success, production company Yash Raj Films (YRF) has pinned all hopes on War 2, expecting it to revive the film series. However, since the movie hits the screens alongside Coolie, it remains to be seen how far War 2 can go. Moreover, its performance will completely hinge on the responses of those who catch the initial shows. Ayan Mukerji's first directorial venture in the YRF Spy Universe, War 2 will hit the screens on Thursday, August 14, coinciding with the Independence Day weekend. Also starring Kiara Advani and Ashutosh Rana, the actioner boasts music by Pritam, cinematography by Benjamin Jasper ACS and editing by Aarif Sheikh. Touted as one of the most expensive Indian films of all time, War 2 has been mounted on an estimated budget of Rs 400 crore, according to Bollywood Hungama. As per a report by the publication, while Jr NTR was paid a staggering Rs 70 crore as remuneration, Hrithik Roshan has charged Rs 50 crore along with an additional clause for profit-sharing. Ahead of the release of the two movies, cinema halls have also jacked up ticket prices, with some soaring beyond Rs 2,000 in specific locations. While tickets cost Rs 300 and above at most multiplexes in Mumbai, the price of premium seats at some places has been listed on BookMyShow to cost Rs 700-800, and at fancier venues over Rs 1,000. As of 2 pm on Tuesday, the most expensive ticket being sold for War 2 in Mumbai is at Maison INOX at Jio World Plaza in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), where the price for prime recliner seats has been listed as Rs 2,620 and normal recliners as Rs 2,520 for an evening show. Regardless, this show too is almost sold out. Although War 2 is currently trailing behind in terms of advance booking, the figures still look serviceable. So far, the movie has grossed Rs 4.71 crore in India (Rs 9.1 crore including block seats), selling 1,44,081 tickets across 8,716 shows, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Coolie, on the other hand, has already crossed the Rs 20 crore mark. While Tiger 3 had registered an advance booking gross of Rs 22.97 crore, Pathaan (2023) managed to record Rs 32.01 crore. Although the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer registered an India nett collection of Rs 57 crore on day one, the Salman Khan film made only Rs 44.5 crore. With Coolie as the main opponent, it remains to be seen if War 2 will manage to cross the these records in the domestic market.
