A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the body of a man was discovered on a road in Perthshire.
Emergency services were called to the Dunning to Kinross road at around 7am on Friday after Stephen Speedie, 29, was found dead.
Police initially arrested a 40-year-old woman and two men, aged 36 and 42, in connection with the incident.
John Higgins, from Perth and Kinross, made no plea during an appearance at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday.
The 42-year-old was charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Higgins was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He is due to appear again within the next eight days.
A GoFundMe page was set up by Mr Speedie's family to help with funeral costs.
A tribute reads: 'Our son Stephen Speedie sadly passed away suddenly on Friday, June 13.
'The funds will be used for funeral costs and to give him the best send off and would help us massively.
'Stephen sadly leaves behind his beautiful two-year-old daughter, who he adored dearly.'
A Facebook group was set up in his memory, with one person writing: 'Stephen, I can't believe you're gone, brother. We had the best times and great memories that will always stay with me.
'You were the life and soul of the parties and a great friend that I'm truly going to miss.'
Police Scotland said extensive inquiries into Mr Speedie's death were continuing.
Detective chief inspector Carron McKellar said: 'Our thoughts are with Stephen's family and friends at what is an extremely difficult time.
'Officers are offering support and keeping them updated with the progress of our investigation.'

Fake fundraising pages sprout after floods ravage West Virginia, leaving at least six dead, including a 3-year-old

A West Virginia Sheriff's Office wants donors to be mindful of fake GoFundMe accounts in the wake of a flash flood that left at least six people dead, including a three-year-old, on Saturday evening. In a post on Facebook, the Ohio County Sheriff's Office said it had received reports of fake GoFundMe pages and other non-local organizations collecting money on the internet for flood victims, who experienced overwhelming waters in Triadelphia and Valley Grove. 'Your generosity is so appreciated, but we don't want anyone getting scammed,' the law enforcement agency said. 'Lastly, keep the flood victims and first responders in your prayers — they've truly witnessed an unimaginable catastrophe.' Rescue crews were still searching for missing people several hours after the torrential rains. Multiple water rescues were conducted in Fairmont, a city 100 miles from Wheeling, which included an apartment building in Marion County. A city spokesperson said an apartment building had partially collapsed, but it wasn't known how many people were impacted, according to CBS News. Officials are currently assessing damage to roads, bridges, natural gas and other infrastructure. About 2.5 to four inches of rain fell in parts of Wheeling and Ohio County during a half-hour period. The rainwater left cars submerged in small towns east of the Ohio River and brought local waterways to higher levels. Governor Patrick Morrisey previously said two people were still missing. State officials are currently working with FEMA, he said. During a news conference on Sunday, Lou Vargo, Ohio County emergency management director, said: 'We almost immediately started getting 911 calls for rescue of people being trapped. 'During this time, we had major infrastructure damage to roads, bridges, and highways, where we couldn't respond to a lot of incidents. So we were delayed in getting there because there was just so much damage,' he said. 'It happened so quickly and so fast. … I've been doing this for 35 years. I've seen major floods here in the city and the county. I've never seen anything like this."

Victoria Pub, Caerleon Road, landlady talks of misiniformation shock

Caerleon Road in Newport was cordoned off on Sunday night, from Duckpool Road to The Victoria Pub, while emergency services dealt with an alleged incident. The stretch of road did not open again until the following morning. However, landlady of The Victoria Pub is keen to stress the pub had nothing to do with the alleged incident and it's a safe pub for the community and for families. The pub operators have been left reeling after 'wild speculation' on social media, following two Sunday evening arrests on Caerleon Road, some 200 yards away from the pub. Maria Idun, a longstanding Caerleon Road resident, said: "It's a lovely pub. I can say that as a woman, I have no fear going into that pub. It's lovely, welcoming and safe.' The neighbourly comment came as the pub was opening as usual and began to serve regulars at midday, Monday June 15. Landlady Sian Davies, who has been running the pub for fifteen years, said: 'I have no idea where all the speculation came from. Nothing happened in this pub yesterday. 'We would always assist anyone who is injured, that's all part of us being a good community pub.' She further explained that the misinformation in media and on social media could stop some people from coming to the pub, which is a major concern. The speculation followed the arrest of two men on Caerleon Road, following an incident at an intersection with Duckpool Road on Sunday evening. A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 33 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray. Police were continuing to conduct door-to-door enquiries on Monday morning and into the afternoon, along Caerleon Road. Detective Chief Inspector Ellen Joslyn, the senior investigating officer, said: "We understand seeing a large number of officers in the area may cause some concern, but we believe there is no ongoing threat to the public. "If you have any concerns, then please do stop and talk with us." Anyone who witnessed the alleged altercation or has relevant information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, can contact us via our website, call us on 101 or send us a direct message on our Facebook or X social media channels, quoting log reference 2500188993.
