
More measles exposures reported in Sask., including Regina and Saskatoon
Several more measles exposures have been reported in Saskatchewan, including Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current, Outlook, Assiniboia, Gravelbourg, and Ponteix.
According to a release from the province on Wednesday, anyone who was at any of the below locations at the times specified should monitor themselves for symptoms for 21 days after the potential exposure.
Measles symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, fatigue, irritability, small white spots inside the mouth and throat and a red blotchy rash that develops on the face and spreads down the body about three to seven days after symptoms begin, the province said.
Those who may have been exposed are advised to call HealthLine 811 for information and instructions, the province said.
The latest reported Regina exposure site was the Co-op Gas Bar at 8501 Dewdney Avenue on Sunday, May 4 from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
