Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi is currently unable to leave his home country of Iran.
The plan had been for the former Porto striker to join his Inter teammates in the United States for the Club World Cup this weekend.
However, the unexpected development of Israeli airstrikes have changed all of that.
The Israeli strikes which began on Thursday evening have naturally closed off Iranian airspace.
Taremi had hoped to fly from Iran to the US. However, it was unsafe to do so.
And right now, it is far from clear when that might change.
The Israeli strikes show little sign of stopping, whilst Iran have responded with fire of their own within Israel as the conflict escalates.

Therefore, the safety of travelling out of Iran remains very much in doubt.
