Teenagers help produce latest Big Issue magazine
Among interviewees chosen by the teenagers were X Factor winner James Arthur and influencer Simon Squibb.
Topics covered include educational support for people with cerebral palsy and other special educational needs, and mental health challenges faced by youngsters,
Hundreds of young Big Issue vendors have accessed support from the magazine for issues including health and wellbeing.
Big Issue editor Paul McNamee said: 'Big Issue begins with opportunity. We offer young people who are frequently marginalised and on society's edge an opportunity to lift themselves up, both through the Big Issue's own earning and learning opportunities, and by championing their voices and views through our journalism.
'For this very special edition, we wanted to learn of the unfiltered hopes, concerns and future plans of this special group of young people. They chose the content, conducted the interviews, guided Big Issue team on how they wanted the pages will look.'
Jamie Masraff, OnSide's chief executive, said: 'This special youth edition of the Big Issue highlights what people lucky enough to work with young people already know.
'Despite tired stereotypes, young people are not disengaged or lacking in ambition. They are brilliant, care about their communities and are deeply connected to the issues shaping society.
'We're proud to support this edition and even prouder of the young people who have made it happen. At a time when so many young people are facing unprecedented challenges, we need more opportunities for them to be seen, heard, and celebrated.'

Tulisa Contostavlos ambushed by stranger in park after he lay in wait 'hissing like a snake'
In her new autobiography, Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations, N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos has shared details of a terrifying confrontation with a strange man in a park late at night Tulisa Contostavlos has shared the horrifying moment she was attacked by a stranger 'hissing like a snake' in a dark park at night, describing it as "every woman's worst nightmare". The former X Factor judge, 37, opened up about the terrifying experience in her new book, Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations. In it, she recalls the feeling of 'pure fear surging' through her body as the man approached her, hissing like a snake. In the moments before the encounter, Tulisa had had a major fallout with her boyfriend at the time, Jacob, prompting her to storm out of the cab they were travelling in and walk through a park. As she searched for a way out, the singer heard the snap of a twig - and then she saw something moving in the bushes. The figure moved, and Tulisa could see it was a man creeping through the trees. "He was slightly crouched with his arms out and hands spread by his side, like an animal ready to pounce," Tulisa recalled. "He looked middle-aged with tanned skin, dark eyes and a shaven head, but the thing that stood out the most was his smile. He was grinning at me evilly, showing his teeth. He stayed crouched and still, watching me with his evil eyes glistening through the shadows. I was frozen in shock and fear, when all of a sudden he made a loud sound. 'Hssssssssssss,' he hissed like a snake." The star recalled how she started to shake in fear - something that seemed to excite the man, who began to creep further towards her. Survival mode kicked in, and Tulisa started to think of a way out, clenching her keys between her fingers and preparing herself to kick him in the genitals when he got close enough. As Tulisa's life flashed before her eyes, the man cackled and continued to advance, spreading his fingers out wide, twiddling them, and continuing to hiss. The singer was absolutely petrified. And then everything changed. "All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I heard a deep booming voice in the distance behind me. 'OOOOOIIIIIII! Don't you fucking touch her!' roared the male voice. The words echoed through the field... A feeling of pure euphoria and relief came over me as I recognised the voice. It was as if the clouds had opened up and God Himself had answered my prayers! It was Jacob!" The stranger started to panic, his eyes darting between Tulisa and the approaching Jacob. Seizing the opportunity, she turned and ran towards her boyfriend, who was also running towards her at full speed. "He sprinted towards me until he caught me, as I fell into his arms, bursting into a fit of tears and wailing loudly," she recalled. "'The... there was a man,' I gasped through my sobs, 'a... a man in the bushes!' He grabbed me and pulled my head into his chest with both hands, panting loudly, out of breath. 'I know, I know, I saw him, shhhhhhh, he's gone, he ran, it's OK, I got you, you're safe, sshhhhhh.'"

9 celebrities who turned out well despite flunking A levels
Not everyone passes their exams with flying colours – even the rich and famous! A-level results day is upon us, with teens across the country learning what the next few years of their lives might be looking like. It's a stressful time of year, and it will leave many people feeling disappointed. For those feeling like university might no longer be an option, let us remind you about a collection of people who did rather well when they finished school, despite not managing to scrape perfect grades. Jeremy Clarkson is famous for his results day Tweets (did you know he got a C and two Us?), but he's not the only star who came away with disappointing grades. We think you'll agree, these nine celebrities all seem to be doing pretty well for themselves! Simon Cowell left school with just three O levels (the equivalent of GCSEs), but now look at him – his musical opinion is one of the most valued in showbiz. He spends his life judging other people's abilities, but he certainly didn't have the X Factor at school. Simon chose not to do his A-levels and landed a job in the mail room of EMI Music Publishing instead. It appears it was a wise decision! The Clarkson's Farm star isn't shy about telling you about how he failed his exams. In fact, he makes the same smug point every year. Don't worry if your A level results aren't what you were hoping for. I got a C and two Us, and here I am, 46 years later, with my own pub. It opens next weekend if you fancy dropping in. — Jeremy Clarkson (@JeremyClarkson) August 15, 2024 It's not the end of the world if your A level results aren't what you'd hoped for. I got a C and 2 Us and here I am today with my own brewery. — Jeremy Clarkson (@JeremyClarkson) August 17, 2023 You get the picture… Dragons' Den's Deborah Meaden left school before taking her A-levels, instead opting to study business at college. Well, it paid off. Today, she's worth in excess of £50 million and has been awarded a grand total of four honorary degrees from the University of Exeter, Staffordshire University, Keele University, and Bath Spa University. Richard Branson may have dropped out of school at 16, but he's doing pretty well for himself. He put in a lot of hard work and rose to the top, and is now worth $2.6 billion. And he's got some strong words of wisdom too: 'Young people need empowerment and encouragement, not sleepless nights worrying about hitting their exam targets. 'They need to learn to take risks and not to be afraid of failure. Failure is part of life, especially in business. The key is to learn from it.' TV presenter Jake Humphrey failed across the board in his A-levels, picking up an E, N and U. He also got fired from McDonald's on the same day he picked them up. But he didn't let that define his life. He applied for an internship with ITV and became the face of Premier League football on BT Sport. Beloved broadcaster Clare Balding was arrested for shoplifting in her youth, and didn't get good grades in History and Latin at A-level. She took two years out after school to retake exams and practise her interview technique to help her get into Cambridge. Well, her determination paid off. She nailed her history re-sit and got into one of the best universities in the world. Bravo! Prince Harry had access to some of the best education in the world, but it didn't stop him from getting a D in his geography A-level. While it certainly helps to have a Queen for a grandmother, his educational blip didn't hold him back. He served in the Army for ten years, became the youth ambassador to the Commonwealth, and set up the Invictus Games for wounded veterans. Jon Snow once said, 'There is life after A levels,' and his personal story confirms this. He's one of the most successful TV journalists in the UK, but when he was at school, he got a C in English and failed all his other A-level subjects. More Trending Despite his A-level woes, Snow did go on to study at the University of Liverpool, where he was suspended after standing up against the apartheid regime in South Africa during a student protest in 1970. Comedian Sarah Millican finished her A levels with two Ds and an E, but now spreads the word that 'good exam results are useful but not the be-all and end-all'. She sends heartwarming messages to students each year to remind them that 'if you don't get what you need, it isn't the end of the world'. View More » Too right, Sarah! Got a story? "Ninety-nine per cent [of the reaction] is amazing," he explained."Compared to when I was on The X Factor seven years ago, it was more like 50/50 then."There were a lot of things being said online, good and bad, but now it's completely the other way; it's so positive. "Sometimes it's a lot to get your head around... but in terms of how much I appreciate it and how amazing it is, it's really special."He continued: "I'm not Ed Sheeran, but it is at the point now where everywhere I go, people stop me and talk to me about my songs."It's blown my mind that that even happens."Mallet appeared on ITV's The X Factor in 2017 and got as far as the live said since then his career had gone from "strength to strength".
