Tulisa Contostavlos ambushed by stranger in park after he lay in wait 'hissing like a snake'

Daily Mirror3 days ago
In her new autobiography, Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations, N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos has shared details of a terrifying confrontation with a strange man in a park late at night
Tulisa Contostavlos has shared the horrifying moment she was attacked by a stranger 'hissing like a snake' in a dark park at night, describing it as "every woman's worst nightmare".

The former X Factor judge, 37, opened up about the terrifying experience in her new book, Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations. In it, she recalls the feeling of 'pure fear surging' through her body as the man approached her, hissing like a snake.

In the moments before the encounter, Tulisa had had a major fallout with her boyfriend at the time, Jacob, prompting her to storm out of the cab they were travelling in and walk through a park.

As she searched for a way out, the singer heard the snap of a twig - and then she saw something moving in the bushes. The figure moved, and Tulisa could see it was a man creeping through the trees.
"He was slightly crouched with his arms out and hands spread by his side, like an animal ready to pounce," Tulisa recalled. "He looked middle-aged with tanned skin, dark eyes and a shaven head, but the thing that stood out the most was his smile. He was grinning at me evilly, showing his teeth. He stayed crouched and still, watching me with his evil eyes glistening through the shadows. I was frozen in shock and fear, when all of a sudden he made a loud sound. 'Hssssssssssss,' he hissed like a snake."
The star recalled how she started to shake in fear - something that seemed to excite the man, who began to creep further towards her. Survival mode kicked in, and Tulisa started to think of a way out, clenching her keys between her fingers and preparing herself to kick him in the genitals when he got close enough.
As Tulisa's life flashed before her eyes, the man cackled and continued to advance, spreading his fingers out wide, twiddling them, and continuing to hiss.

The singer was absolutely petrified. And then everything changed. "All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I heard a deep booming voice in the distance behind me. 'OOOOOIIIIIII! Don't you fucking touch her!' roared the male voice. The words echoed through the field... A feeling of pure euphoria and relief came over me as I recognised the voice. It was as if the clouds had opened up and God Himself had answered my prayers! It was Jacob!"
The stranger started to panic, his eyes darting between Tulisa and the approaching Jacob. Seizing the opportunity, she turned and ran towards her boyfriend, who was also running towards her at full speed.
"He sprinted towards me until he caught me, as I fell into his arms, bursting into a fit of tears and wailing loudly," she recalled. "'The... there was a man,' I gasped through my sobs, 'a... a man in the bushes!' He grabbed me and pulled my head into his chest with both hands, panting loudly, out of breath. 'I know, I know, I saw him, shhhhhhh, he's gone, he ran, it's OK, I got you, you're safe, sshhhhhh.'"

Perrie Edwards 'could barely leave the house' due to mental health battle

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has opened up about her experiences as she discussed her ongoing battle with anxiety and panic attacks Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has opened up about how a mental health condition devastated her life last year. The 32-year-old has disclosed in a fresh interview that she "could barely leave" her home towards the end of 2024. ‌ The former X Factor singer, who was appointed as an ambassador for the mental health charity Mind earlier this year, has been championing awareness around conditions like agoraphobia. ‌ BRIT Award winner Perrie has also previously discussed her battle with anxiety and panic attacks. She's now provided an update in an interview published this week, as detailed in the Mirror. ‌ Perrie disclosed that she has a habit of "catastrophising" situations and battled to leave the home she shares with her fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and their son last year. Speaking to the Telegraph, Perrie said that she's "in her element" on stage, describing herself as "empowered". She added: "But as soon as I'm back home behind closed doors, that's when the anxiety kicks in and I'm just me again." She told the outlet that she can't help but "catastrophise" over "everyday things," such as getting into her car and driving to London. She said: "At the end of last year my agoraphobia got so bad I could barely leave the house." Agoraphobia is "a fear of being in situations where escape might be difficult or where help wouldn't be available if things go wrong," according to the NHS. It further states that the condition can lead to symptoms of a panic attack, and the NHS adds that it can itself develop from panic disorder, something Perrie has previously disclosed that she suffers from. ‌ During an episode of Alison Hammond's Big Weekend released in May, she confessed: "I've developed panic disorder, so it's the fear of having a panic attack." She explained to Alison Hammond that this condition emerged after she began experiencing "severe" panic attacks a few years ago. She admitted: "I then developed like a fear of having one again. So I was like, if I'm on my own and I have a panic attack, I might die, and nobody will be here to help." ‌ Giving a glimpse into how this affects her daily life, she continued: "So that's why I'm never on my own." When asked if she ever stays home alone, she responded: "No, never. Never! I'm always with somebody. Because I just ... I don't like the feeling of feeling like I'm gonna die." Later in the episode, Perrie told Alison that her first panic attack occurred after consuming an over-the-counter caffeine shot during a trip to Las Vegas with her bandmates some years ago. On the BBC show, Perrie recalled: "I honestly thought I was having a heart attack from whatever was in I.T.." She recalled "pacing" around her room at the time and suffering panic attacks before eventually ending up in hospital. ‌ Perrie, who suggested that the experience had been a "trigger" and caused her anxiety to skyrocket, added: "After that incident, I just kept having them like again and again." The Little Mix star has since disclosed that she's enlisted help from therapists to manage her panic attacks. In a June interview with Metro, she revealed she's "trying to be at peace" with her anxiety and its physical manifestations, rather than dreading potential panic episodes. ‌ She explained to the publication that she has "tried everything," noting she has experimented with "all different kinds" of therapy. Perrie acknowledged that whilst she had previously been equipped with coping techniques, "everything goes out the window" when an attack strikes. The singer revealed: "Last year, maybe in September, I started to take my therapist to work with me, which I know is a very privileged situation." She explained they could guide her through any panic episode "there and then," describing it in the interview as: "It's the best thing I've ever done."

I walked in on a porn film being made in my living room — do I move out?

Hearing other people have sex is just one of the perils that come with house sharing. But this Metro reader hasn't just heard some muffled sounds from beyond an adjoining wall — he walked into what looked like a full-blown porn movie being filmed in his living room. The most awkward part? He's living with his older brother and his girlfriend. And after accidentally stumbling across the scene, which he thinks was for an X-rated site, he can no longer look them in the eye. Read the advice below, but before you go, don't forget to read last week's Sex Column, about a woman who discovered her husband has a secret child. I'm a 17-year-old lad, currently stressing over something my friends find funny, but I find pretty gross. Basically, I recently walked in on my brother having sex with his girlfriend — it wasn't just ordinary sex either, it was more like something you'd see in a porn movie, and they were actually filming it. I quickly shut the door but he came after me and we had this ridiculous argument, with him standing there naked. Until a few months ago I lived with my parents, but my mum was driving me mad and we ended up having a huge row. That's how I come to be living with my brother (32, by our dad's first marriage) and his partner, who I normally get on great with. On the night in question, I was meant to be staying with friends, but due to a mix-up there was no bed for me and I came home. Obviously, my brother thought he had the place to himself, so when I walked into the living room, I got the shock of my life. I think he and his girlfriend did too. He asked me why the hell I went in when I could hear something was going on, but I was listening to music through my earbuds! X Factor icon Diana Vickers and Metro's dating expert Alice Giddings dive into your wildest sex, love, and dating dilemmas – every Tuesday. Listen wherever you get your podcasts or watch on YouTube. My brother said that he and his girlfriend like watching their home movies back but they don't post on any websites for others to watch. He obviously only said that to make me feel better, and it hasn't made a huge difference. I used to really like it here, but now I feel so awkward I can hardly look at them. I can see that you have really taken this to heart, but truthfully, I'm struggling to see what the problem is. Your brother and his girlfriend thought they were alone, had wild sex and filmed it for their own entertainment. What have they done wrong? Maybe you have always looked up to him and what he's done has damaged your perfect view of him. I'm guessing that sex doesn't play a full part in your life at the moment, and that's why this has hit you so hard. He's older and more experienced, and what he's done is no different to what many other people do – and you may do too, when you reach that stage in life. You've already fallen out with your mother, so don't let this cause a rift between you and your brother too. Look on it this way – it's great that he and his partner are happy, loving and sexually adventurous, because that's what makes them the people they are and why you liked living with them. They probably feel as mortified as you over the whole incident. More Trending Try to be more understanding and accept that what you saw was just a private moment that you were never meant to share. Your friends are right to see it as no big deal. Have another chat with your brother and just acknowledge this episode for what it is – an embarrassing moment, which you'll all move on from in the fullness of time.
