Rylan Clark sheds light on 'intense' journey as he declares 'love' for ITV co-star
Rylan Clark has gushed over his 'love' for his former ITV co-star, as the pair opened up to one another on the presenter's BBC Radio 2 show Radio host Rylan Clark has openly expressed his love and admiration for his co-star, who he first met while finding fame on an ITV show. The 36-year-old ex-contestant was chatting to the singer-songwriter on his Radio 2 programme about her latest book when he burst into glowing praise. Rylan was speaking with former X Factor judge Tulisa, 37, following the launch of her new memoir 'Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations', chronicling her life and career journey. Tulisa rose to stardom as the lead singer of N-Dubz, before penning several books and featuring on various TV shows including I'm A Me Out of Here!. Chatting to his friend on his BBC Radio 2 programme, fellow writer Rylan showered Tulisa with compliments over her book's brilliant reception. He said: "I've got to say I'm also an author, Tulisa. I'm also an author. So far, it's doing incredible, it's, like, on the Amazon best sellers list already. It's all kicking off. For anyone out there, we had this chat last night, you know I'm a Tulisa fan, I love you to bits. "But for anyone, you don't even need to know who you are to read this story, because it is so intense. It is literally, I can already see the film, clearly, it's going to be Jennifer Lawrence playing you." This marks another occasion the pair have supported one another in the chaotic realm of entertainment. In an Instagram post shared months ago, Rylan declared: "Never been prouder @tulisacontostavlos. From 2012 to now we've been through a lot and I'm so proud we stayed by each others side. Now it's time for everyone to know your truth. "We've never publicised it, we've just been there for eachother. I'm so happy your words will now be heard by everyone. Tulisa's book Judgement is out now x #Day1 x." In response, Tulisa replied: "Love you will all my heart you beautiful earth angel." (sic) In recent years Tulisa has spoken about the difficult period she endured in the public eye, saying that she had tried to end her own life following being deceived in a sting operation by 'Fake Sheikh' Mazher Mahmood. Although she faced charges for supplying class A drugs, her case was thrown out when it came to light that Mahmood had lied in court. She revealed that her "year from hell" had driven her to attempt suicide on two occasions. Discussing the ordeal on This Morning, Tulisa said: "The first attempt was quite light in a sense...I was very drunk and I wasn't sure, just go for it, I've had enough. "It was the second time that after the trial had finished then I had time to really process everything that happened was the real kicker. Surviving that was a miracle." When asked about her feelings in 2025, she said that there were long-term effects on how she interacted with people. Tulisa admitted: "I don't think I'll ever trust in the same way again but I am someone who has a logical head on their shoulders. I hope for the best in people I'm not a negative person, I'm not looking for negative things in someone."

Tulisa Contostavlos learnt brutal lesson on I'm A Celebrity after jungle disaster
N-Dubz star Tulisa stepped back into the public eye in 2024 on I'm A Celebrity - and in her new book Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations, she has revealed she learnt an important lesson from her brief time on the show After years away from the spotlight, Tulisa Contostavlos returned in a major way in 2024 when she appeared in the 24th series of I'm A Celebrity. The N-Dubz star joined the likes of Danny Jones, Rev Richard Coles and Coleen Rooney in the jungle reality show. But her time was short-lived, and she was the third contestant to be booted out. Following her elimination, Tulisa surprised many by quickly leaving Australia and not participating in the final reunion show. She also deleted all mentions of the show from her social media, later explaining that she felt "overwhelmed" by the attention. "A lot of bombarding, in all the most positive way but because it's been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily," the Sight of You singer said in an Instagram video. "I just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill and this is all just feeling a little bit much at the moment." While her time on the show was brief, it helped provide clarity for Tulisa, who has touched upon the experience in her new book, Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations. Writing in the epilogue, the star shares: "I can see clearer now, I have a strong sense of inner peace and an internal happiness that comes from within. It wasn't easy, but I'm proud of myself. I've managed to successfully return with N-Dubz and had a fun little stint on I'm a Celebrity… though it has confirmed my feelings of wanting to remain a little less in the spotlight. "I can't say I enjoyed eating lamb bollocks and being pi**ed on with rain during the rainiest season ever, but I am grateful for the experience because it's only by getting uncomfortable that we can grow. "Mostly I was very grateful for the opportunity to show people my true self after so many years of such giant misconception of who I truly was, and I've certainly felt a change for the better in people's energy towards me since. All is finally well, but there were certainly moments along the way to get to this point where my hope was short." Tulisa made her name in the 2000s as part of N-Dubz before launching her solo career and later appearing as a judge on X-Factor in 2011. She largely stepped back from the public eye when, in 2014, charges were brought against her after an undercover reporter from The Sun - 'Fake Sheikh' Mazher Mahmood - claimed she'd brokered a deal to supply Class A drugs. The drugs trial collapsed after the reporter was found to have lied in his evidence, and Mahmood received a 15-month prison sentence. Previously, Mahmood had been employed by the Sunday Times and the now-defunct News of the World. He gained notoriety for exposing wrongdoings but faced criticism for orchestrating stings while masquerading as an Arab businessman to secure stories. One of his high-profile targets was model Jodie Kidd, who discussed her ordeal in the 2023 Prime Video documentary series "The Fake Sheikh," where she lamented that befriending him was "the biggest mistake of my life," after being labelled a "coke fixer" in the press following their encounter. Post-conviction in 2016 and subsequent imprisonment, Mahmood vanished from the limelight and is presumed to have ceased working as a journalist. Nonetheless, in a 2023 interview with The Guardian, Paul Samrai, an associate of Mahmood's, hinted at rumours that Mahmood might still be active in journalism, albeit under a pseudonym.

Tulisa Contostavlos' new life in country with secret 'soul family' after boyfriend disaster
There was a time when N'Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos was rarely out of the headlines. Now, reflecting on her turbulent years in her new book Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations, she reveals that life today looks very different Much of Tulisa Contostavlos 's life has been spent in the spotlight. From her early days with N-Dubz, to her stint as an X Factor judge, her solo career, her tumultuous love life, I'm A Celebrity appearance, and the famous collapse of her drug trial, the 37-year-old has consistently made headlines. But more recently, she has opted for a different approach. Now Tulisa prioritises her happiness and wellbeing - and that has meant some dramatic changes. The star has shared a detailed update on her new life in her new book, Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations. She reveals that she has relocated to Cheshire in order to be close to her best friend Michelle McKenna, her husband Daniel and their daughter Nevaeh - Tulisa's goddaughter. She also prioritises time with another best friend Percy, who travels with her son to see Tulisa on the weekends - and it is this tightknit clan that means the most. She writes: "Through our bond, Percy has in turn become very close with Michelle and Dan, and together we have become the fantastic four. Or as I like to call us, the soul family. True love is a beautiful thing; I feel extremely blessed to have it and I cherish it dearly. I have become the kind of person that would do anything for their soul family, as they would for me." According to Tulisa, she is much more of an introvert these days, who embraces her quiet life in the country - bar the occasional blowout or fun holiday. Instead she says she is focused on her fitness, health, and mental wellbeing, which includes meditation, structure and routine. For the past year, she has been living in her dream home, which she spent six months doing up, in a quiet countrified area in the middle of nowhere. "Honestly, I'm a bit of nerd in my spare time," she writes. "I've gone back to being an avid reader like I was in my teens. I'm obsessed with Ancient History and Ancient Alien theories. I'm currently on my fifth read of The Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean. I watch all things fantasy, play PlayStation and of course I still love to cook, especially in my new kitchen." And what about her love life? According to the star it's been "chaotic enough to write another ten books". She had an on-off relationship with a boyfriend named Jacob which lasted three years, and another with an older man she calls *Miles. After their breakup, she embarked on a three-year celibacy stint before reconciling with another ex named *Liam - and they even spent Christmas 2024 together. But it wasn't to be and she once again briefly reconnected with Miles. Cut to present day, and Tulisa says she is forcing herself to date again in the hopes of a fresh start. But it's not a process she enjoys. "I've played the bachelorette for most of my life and at times it's been a lot of fun, but I'm now 36 with 37 fast approaching and all the games haven't brought me any real happiness, only temporary fleeting kicks of excitement and thrills," she writes. "I know I'm tired of it all, but I am also still scared shitless of settling down. I decided to freeze my eggs to take the pressure off and bide my time if needs be. All I know for sure is that everything I've been through has left deep scars, but I've also become a different person and it's time for a change. I'd say I'm finally open to finding someone to heal and grow with, and dare I say 'settle down'."

Tulisa Contostavlos ambushed by stranger in park after he lay in wait 'hissing like a snake'
In her new autobiography, Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations, N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos has shared details of a terrifying confrontation with a strange man in a park late at night Tulisa Contostavlos has shared the horrifying moment she was attacked by a stranger 'hissing like a snake' in a dark park at night, describing it as "every woman's worst nightmare". The former X Factor judge, 37, opened up about the terrifying experience in her new book, Judgement: Love, Trials, and Tribulations. In it, she recalls the feeling of 'pure fear surging' through her body as the man approached her, hissing like a snake. In the moments before the encounter, Tulisa had had a major fallout with her boyfriend at the time, Jacob, prompting her to storm out of the cab they were travelling in and walk through a park. As she searched for a way out, the singer heard the snap of a twig - and then she saw something moving in the bushes. The figure moved, and Tulisa could see it was a man creeping through the trees. "He was slightly crouched with his arms out and hands spread by his side, like an animal ready to pounce," Tulisa recalled. "He looked middle-aged with tanned skin, dark eyes and a shaven head, but the thing that stood out the most was his smile. He was grinning at me evilly, showing his teeth. He stayed crouched and still, watching me with his evil eyes glistening through the shadows. I was frozen in shock and fear, when all of a sudden he made a loud sound. 'Hssssssssssss,' he hissed like a snake." The star recalled how she started to shake in fear - something that seemed to excite the man, who began to creep further towards her. Survival mode kicked in, and Tulisa started to think of a way out, clenching her keys between her fingers and preparing herself to kick him in the genitals when he got close enough. As Tulisa's life flashed before her eyes, the man cackled and continued to advance, spreading his fingers out wide, twiddling them, and continuing to hiss. The singer was absolutely petrified. And then everything changed. "All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I heard a deep booming voice in the distance behind me. 'OOOOOIIIIIII! Don't you fucking touch her!' roared the male voice. The words echoed through the field... A feeling of pure euphoria and relief came over me as I recognised the voice. It was as if the clouds had opened up and God Himself had answered my prayers! It was Jacob!" The stranger started to panic, his eyes darting between Tulisa and the approaching Jacob. Seizing the opportunity, she turned and ran towards her boyfriend, who was also running towards her at full speed. "He sprinted towards me until he caught me, as I fell into his arms, bursting into a fit of tears and wailing loudly," she recalled. "'The... there was a man,' I gasped through my sobs, 'a... a man in the bushes!' He grabbed me and pulled my head into his chest with both hands, panting loudly, out of breath. 'I know, I know, I saw him, shhhhhhh, he's gone, he ran, it's OK, I got you, you're safe, sshhhhhh.'"
