Esperance Sportive de Tunis secured their 34th Tunisian League championship today by decisively defeating Olympique Béja 5-0 in the 29th round match.
Esperance's goals came from Yann Sas (7th and 43rd minutes), Youssef Belaili (57th minute), Houssem Tekka (68th minute), and Elias Mokwana (78th minute).
This victory awarded Esperance the league title with 65 points, making the final round inconsequential. Their win was aided by US Monastir's 1-1 draw with ES Metlaoui. Olympique Béja remains in tenth place with 29 points.
Esperance now aims for a domestic treble, having already won the Super Cup. Their next challenge is a Tunisian Cup quarterfinal match against Esperance de Zarzis on May 18th
