Regarding Margot Robbie 's comeback as Harley Quinn, James Gunn is keeping fans in suspense. After playing the anti-heroine in three significant DC movies, such as 2016's 'Suicide Squad,' 2020's 'Birds of Prey,' and 2021's 'The Suicide Squad,' the 'Barbie' star has come to represent the wild charm of Harley Quinn. Margot Robbie To NOT Return As Harley Quinn? Superman Director James Gunn's BIG Reveal

James Gunn teases Margot Robbie's return as Harley Quinn amidst DC overhaul. Gunn hints at plans for Idris Elba's Bloodsport. James Gunn is keeping fans guessing when it comes to Margot Robbie's return as Harley Quinn. The Barbie star has become synonymous with the chaotic charm of Harley Quinn, having portrayed the anti-heroine in three major DC films: 2016's Suicide Squad, 2020's Birds of Prey, and 2021's The Suicide Squad. But as the DC Universe undergoes a major overhaul under Gunn's leadership, Robbie's future in the franchise remains uncertain. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Gunn – who now serves as CEO and Co-Chairman of DC Studios – was asked directly whether Robbie would reprise her role. He teased: 'That will be revealed down the line." While Gunn remained tight-lipped about Harley, he did hint at plans for another Suicide Squad alum: Idris Elba's Bloodsport, adding: 'I definitely am always looking for a place to put Bloodsport and figuring that out. So we'll see what happens." Robbie, meanwhile, has kept busy outside the superhero realm, earning critical acclaim and box office success with Barbie, which became a cultural phenomenon in 2023. Robbie is now in talks to star in Tim Burton's Attack Of The Fifty Foot Woman remake. The 35-year-old actress is being considered for the lead role in the 66-year-old filmmaker's upcoming movie for Warner Bros and she would also produce the film through her LuckyChap production company, according to The Insneider. The original 1958 classic is a science-fiction horror story which follows a wealthy heiress who grows into a giant after an alien encounter and goes on to take revenge on her cheating husband. It was revealed last year that Burton would direct and produce the remake, with Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn writing the script. Andrew Mittman and Tommy Harper are also producing with Kai Dolbashian as executive producer. However, Variety reports that Flynn exited the project due to other commitments after writing a first draft of the screenplay and the producing team is currently searching for a new writer. Robbie's involvement would depend on the final version of the script. Robbie is also set to produce the Ocean's prequel through her LuckyChap Entertainment banner and will also star in the movie alongside her Barbie castmate Ryan Gosling. Nagarjuna Says His Coolie Look Was Inspired By Heath Ledger's Joker: ‘Glad He Didn't Put...'

Nagarjuna reveals Coolie director Lokesh Kanagaraj took inspiration from Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight for his villain look. Lokesh Kanagaraj's much-anticipated Coolie has finally arrived in cinemas, and with it comes a revelation about one of the film's most striking visual elements—Nagarjuna's villainous look. In a candid conversation with co-star Shruti Haasan, the veteran actor revealed that director Lokesh, a self-confessed fan of DC movies, took direct inspiration from Heath Ledger's iconic Joker in The Dark Knight when conceptualising his costume. Talking about the colour scheme, Nagarjuna shared, 'I think Loki had Heath Ledger's Joker in his mind, and he wanted that madness. He probably saw the madness in the colour as well." He explained how the choice of purple and cream felt completely new to him. 'I never wore such colours before. Loki told the dress designers. They got two or three options. He saw and said, 'This is it. This is the one I want.' I also had a jacket. Purple jacket. It was really good. I never wore those colours." Describing the outfit, he laughed, 'It is a very strange dress. I mean, even for me, it's baggy pants." Shruti agreed, adding, 'It's kind of a mix of Heath Ledger and old Joker, as we know from the character." Nagarjuna then quipped, 'I'm glad he didn't put on that smile." For an actor known for playing protagonists with moral authority, taking on a darker role was a significant shift. Nagarjuna revealed that he took several narrations before agreeing to join Coolie. 'The story starts with Simon's character. For the first time, I've recorded the narration and made notes to decide on the character. I never did this earlier." The transformation seemed to impress even the film's superstar lead. Recalling a moment from the shoot, Nagarjuna said, 'After the shot was over, Rajini sir nodded and said 'hmmm' (with a sweet smile)." Now playing in theatres from August 14, Coolie stars Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Aamir Khan in a cameo. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film blends high-octane action with stylish visuals, and Nagarjuna's Joker-inspired antagonist is shaping up to be one of its most talked-about highlights.
