Tony Bellew involved in furious row with Tommy Robinson - 'Mouthy p****'

Tommy Robinson has hit out at Tony Bellew after the former world champion labelled him 'racist' in the wake of the far-right extremist's release from prison Tony Bellew has hit back at Tommy Robinson after the far-right activist labelled him 'a b****' for his views on religion. ‌ In May, Robinson walked free from jail four months ahead of schedule, having originally been handed an 18-month stretch for contempt of court. Robinson, 42, had violated a 2021 High Court ruling that banned him from repeating bogus claims about a Syrian refugee who had won a libel case against him. ‌ Since his release, Robinson has continued to be active on social media, recently chatting to rapper Akala on YouTube. Earlier this year, Bellew had slammed Robinson's stance, reports the Express. Referencing Robinson's attacks on Islam, Bellew, 42, labelled Robinson 'racist' and 'disgusting'. ‌ Former world champion Bellew said in the interview with Boxing King Media: "I saw the interview he did with the rapper, and he basically said he's an enemy of Islam. Why would anyone be an enemy of any religion? "There are bad Muslims, there are bad Christians, there are bad Catholics, there are bad Jews. I didn't like the narrative Tommy Robinson was painting to be honest. Why would anyone pick targets? "It's like saying there's good white people and there's good black people. There are good and bad in all races, religions, creeds and ethnicities. And this man's painting is a narrative that there's something wrong with Islam. "I've grown up amongst the nation of Islam and people who are devout Muslims and they are nothing but peaceful. It's disgusting to paint that light and frighten people they way he has done. I think it's wrong, to be fair." The English Defence League founder posted the interview on X and launched a vicious tirade at the former boxer. "What's your take on Tony Bellew bending over for Islam?" he wrote. "Using the boring 'racist' label. I didn't take him for being a b****." And after Robinson had replied to Bellew, the retired boxer hit back, writing on social media: "The things you've just called me here you're going to be held accountable for!! See all these rapists and beasts you're talking about! There is hundreds of thousands of WHITE paedos and rapists you say f*** all about! You have an agenda that you're being paid to follow unlike me! "All rapists and beasts should be killed upon conviction! (White, black, Muslim, Catholic!) I don't care what you are your either a good person or a bad one! I've grown up around Muslims my whole life! Never ever have I seen what you are talking about or spouting! I have friends across the whole country who live in areas like you're talking about and say you're a liar! Anyway this is all I'll say on the matter now and I hope I bump into you soon you mouthy p****! Keep this energy!"

Pahang MB slams 'dangerous' racial narrative

KUANTAN: Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail has urged the public to reject outright the "perception games", slander, and false accusations propagated by certain quarters with the deliberate intent of sowing division. He said such actions not only eroded public trust but also bred disunity, fostered hostility, and threatened the stability of both the state and the nation. "For example, a recent perception game suggested that Pahang's administration should be returned to the Malays and Muslims. I would like to ask, is the current administration led by someone who is not Malay and not Muslim? Am I not a Malay and not a Muslim? "Is the Pahang State Secretary (Datuk Nazri Abu Bakar), not a Malay and not a Muslim? Is Pahang a secular state that rejects Islam? This kind of narrative is extremely dangerous, as it not only undermines trust in the government but also inflames religious and racial sentiments, which will inevitably lead to division," he said in his winding-up speech at the state assembly in Wisma Sri Pahang today. Wan Rosdy also addressed the perception that the state government was not focused on administering Pahang. "Never mind… this is just the opinion of those who wish to see us operate like the governments of Kelantan and Terengganu. "But let me say this. Despite such allegations, we have collected more than RM1 billion in revenue for three consecutive years. Even while being accused of losing focus, we have successfully attracted realised investments worth RM4 billion in just the first six months of this year, the highest in the east coast region," he said. In conjunction with National Day this month, Wan Rosdy called on all assembly members and the people of Pahang to free themselves not only from physical colonisation but also from the shackles of hatred, suspicion, and division. "Let us fill this Independence Day with the spirit of tolerance, mutual understanding, and the will to build a brighter, shared future. Our nationalism must drive us to protect the racial harmony we have built over the years. "The close ties between people of various races and religions are an invaluable asset. They are not merely a symbol of independence but also a testament to the country's peace and prosperity," he said. Wan Rosdy reminded Malaysians to avoid divisions that could harm society and to ensure that differences of opinion do not break bonds of friendship or fuel hostility. Although he did not name anyone, his remarks appeared to be aimed at Pahang Pas deputy commissioner Datuk Andansura Rabu, who, in a ceramah last month, said that political power in Pahang should be returned to Malay Muslims.

'Foundation Of...': After Asim Munir, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif Invokes 2-Nation Theory

Shehbaz Sharif's statement came after Pakistan army chief General Asim Munir last month highlighted the 'two-nation theory'. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday echoed Army chief Asim Munir's opinion and validated the 'Two-Nation Theory", which is the foundation of their country. In his Independence Day message, Sharif claimed that the recent four-day border flare-up with India and 'Marka-e-Haq" by Islamabad was a historic victory for his country. However, India, on multiple occasions, has dismissed the rhetoric as political posturing far removed from operational facts on the ground. Notably, Operation Sindoor was launched on the intervening night of May 6-7 to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack. In retaliation to the terror attack, the Indian armed forces struck terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Wishing his countrymen 78 years of independence of Pakistan, Shatif took to X and wrote, 'Pakistan's historic victory in Marka-e-Haq during the four-day war imposed by India has not only reinforced the sanctity of our freedom, but has also instilled a renewed sense of ambition and national spirit in the hearts of our people, magnifying the pride and fervour of this Independence Day." 'With the blessings of Almighty Allah, our brave armed forces revived their past glory and shattered the false pride of enemy by acting as a Bunyan-um-Marsoos – a solid fortified wall. The military capability, valour and faith of our brave soldiers and air warriors forced the enemy to kneel down." 'We pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of our freedom and offer prayers for the elevation of their ranks in eternal life. It was not merely a military conquest, but also the victory of the validation of a Two-Nation Theory, which is the foundation of our dear homeland. With same passion, we stand vigilant to defend and safeguard our national interests including water resources," he added. I extend my heartfelt felicitations to the nation on completion of 78 years of independence of Pakistan.I pay tribute to Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and the Thinker of Pakistan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, who along with other resolute leaders and… — Shehbaz Sharif (@CMShehbaz) August 14, 2025 Notably, Sharif's statement came after Pakistan army chief General Asim Munir last month highlighted the 'two-nation theory', stating that Muslims and Hindus are two different nations. Munir's remarks came after he had described Kashmir as Pakistan's 'jugular vein" during a diaspora event and asked overseas Pakistanis to pass on the country's story to their children, emphasising that their forefathers believed Hindus and Muslims were different in every possible aspect of life. view comments First Published: August 14, 2025, 12:03 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
