Newcastle United demand a Premier League-record few for Alexander Isak; the numbers will shock you!
Newcastle United's striker Alexander Isak has already made his mind of leaving the club after he didn't travel with the team for the pre-season tour. Liverpool who are into Isak since start of the window, is in negotiations. But there are reports suggesting that Newcastle have demanded a Premier League-record fee of €172 million for the striker. Isak has been named as one of the prolific strikers in the league, but looking at this price tag, the Reds seem to be backing off.
Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has reportedly made up his mind to leave the club this summer after he was left out of the squad for their pre-season tour. According to Craig Hope of Daily Mail, the Swedish forward is pushing for a move, with Liverpool leading the chase since the start of the transfer window.
However, negotiations have hit a major roadblock. Newcastle have slapped a staggering €172 million price tag on the 24-year-old, a figure that would set a new Premier League record. While Isak has proven himself as one of the most clinical forwards in the league, scoring 21 goals last season, this valuation has raised eyebrows, even among big clubs like Liverpool.
The Reds are reportedly reconsidering their pursuit, believing the asking price is excessive despite their admiration for Isak's talent and potential.
Is Isak worth €172 million? While he's undoubtedly among the top strikers in England, boasting pace, technical finesse, and lethal finishing, the fee being demanded seems inflated.

Liverpool make MOMENTOUS Conor Bradley decision
Losing Trent Alexander-Arnold was a prospect Liverpool fans feared for a long time. As the defender's contract ticked down, it appeared inevitable that he would decline a new deal and sign for Real Madrid. As it transpired, that is EXACTLY what happened. After 20 years in red, the right-back moved on to the Bernabeu - leaving his Liverpool legacy in pieces. Losing a world-class, homegrown talent was no doubt a bitter blow. But Liverpool haven't missed a beat in the quest to replace Trent. LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! LFC x adidas Shop the goalkeeper range today LFC x adidas Shop the new adidas range today! Frimpong and Bradley are Liverpool's new options They have signed Jeremie Frimpong - with the Dutchman capable of playing right-back, right wing-back, right midfield and right wing. The 24-year-old possesses quality in several positions and presents too big an attacking threat to be described merely as a right back. And don't forget Conor Bradley. The loss of Trent could have been so much worse were it not for the presence of the young Northern Irishman. The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the best young full-backs around over the last 18 months or so. Liverpool have got faith in Bradley Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot had no qualms about throwing Bradley in at the deep end when Trent was unavailable. No doubt he softens the blow of losing Alexander-Arnold and he ensures continuity in the right-back position for years to come. Liverpool's faith in Bradley for the long term has been demonstrated by the awarding of new contract - inked shortly after the end of the season. Bradley is going nowhere and now comes the Reds' latest demonstration of their belief in him. Bradley earns Liverpool promotion Having worn 84 for the duration of his Liverpool first-team career thus far, Bradley has been given a stunning promotion. The club have now commenced their new, 10-year kit deal with Adidas and a raft of squad number changes have also been announced. Bradley will now wear the No12 - most recently worn by Joe Gomez and also made famous by another Champions League winner in Sami Hyypia.

Liverpool launch adidas kit as Conor Bradley is handed new squad number
Liverpool FC have finally launched their much-anticipated new strip ahead of the start of the season. The Premier League champions had to wait until August 1 to officially unveil their playing kit from new suppliers adidas. Reds fans have been waiting anxiously for the previous deal with Nike to come to an end as the club penned a 10-year deal with the German kit manufacturer earlier this year. It is the third partnership between Liverpool and adidas, with the club enjoying success from 1985-1996 and again from 2006-2012, with many iconic strips being favourites among the fanbase. Following the relesed the club announced shirt numbers for new signings Giorgi Mamardashvili, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Armin Pecsi and Freddie Woodman this morning. Wirtz will wear the iconic number seven jersey once sported by Sir Kenny Dalglish and previously worn by Luis Diaz. Kerkez will wear the number six, Ekitike 22, Frimpong 30, Mamardashvili 25 and Woodman 28. Conor Bradley has also taken the opportunity to change his squad number ahead of the big kick-off. The Northern Ireland international has worn the number 84 since breaking into the Reds first team, but he has now switched to the vacant number 12 shirt for the 2025/26 campaign. Meanwhile, should supporters want to honour Diogo Jota, who died in a car crash last month, by having 'Diogo J. 20' printed on the back of their shirts in official club stores or via the official online store, as well as adidas in-store or online (where regionally offered), all profits will go to LFC Foundation, the club's official charity. The Foundation has committed to creating a grassroots football programme in Diogo's name. Liverpool will wear their new strip for the first time on Monday when they host Athletic Bilbao in the club's final summer friendly before they travel to Wembley next weekend to take on Crystal Palace in the Community Shield.
