15-year-old found dead near NY street: police
NEW YORK (PIX11) – A teen was found dead near a New York street on Thursday morning, according to police.
Police received a 911 call about the unresponsive teenager at 6:15 a.m. Police said 15-year-old Jonson Temaj was found dead at the intersection of Charles Street and Washington Avenue in New Rochelle.

Responding officers attempted to render aid until the teen was taken to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities said.
His cause of death is not known. The Westchester County Medical Examiner's Office will work to determine the cause of death, officials said.
An investigation remains ongoing.

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — A man has been found guilty of strangling his pregnant wife in front of her daughter in Newark, N.J., the prosecutor's office of Essex County announced Friday. Milton Chogllo, a 31-year-old from Newark, was found guilty by a jury of second- and third-degree aggravated assault, according to court documents. More Local News According to an investigation on March 5, 2023, Chogllo strangled and beat his 32-year-old wife outside their home on Bergen Street. At the time of the assault, the victim was six months pregnant, authorities said. The woman's 14-year-old daughter witnessed the assault, police said. 'Justice for victims of domestic violence is not just about punishment — it's about protection, dignity, and the unwavering message that abuse will never be tolerated,' said Assistant Prosecutor Ventola. Chogllo is scheduled for sentencing on July 18, 2025. The victim's daughter provided crucial testimony during the trial against Chogllo, officials said. Andrew Cuomo gets mayor endorsement from former critic: ‘Toughness to lead New York'
NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — A whirlwind week in the race for New York City Mayor ended with a dramatic political about-face and a chaotic rally ending with an arrest. State Senator Jessica Ramos, once a vocal critic of former Governor Andrew Cuomo, announced Friday she is endorsing him in the Democratic mayoral primary. The surprise move comes despite years of public criticism of Cuomo by Ramos over issues ranging from sexual harassment allegations to the state's handling of nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. More Local News Ramos said in the end, her decision to endorse Cuomo came down to the looming threat of President Trump, and his experience as compared to the other leading contender in the race Zohran Mamdani. 'Only one of them has the experience and toughness and the knowledge to lead New York through what's about to come, and that's Andrew Cuomo,' Ramos said to loud applause at a rally. Parking meter scam warning issued by NYC DOT
NEW YORK (PIX11) — A new warning for drivers in New York City, be careful when trying to pay parking meters. In a new scam, QR stickers are being stuck onto parking meters that direct users to a third-party site to put in their payment information, according to the NYC Department of Transportation. More Local News At least one of the fraud stickers has been found on the side of a meter in NYC, transportation officials say. New Yorkers who come across the QR codes are advised not to scan or share payment information through the link.
