Police launch appeal after fatal crash in Dudley

POLICE have launched an appeal following a fatal three-car crash in Upper Gornal.
Two men, aged 28 and 22, were killed in the crash, which happened at around on Wednesday morning (August 6).
Two others have also been rushed to hospital after the collision, which involved a Ford Transit van, a white Seat and a white Hyundai I10 vehicle.
The force said they were called just after 7.30am to Kent Street, near to its junction with Spills Meadow.
They said two men who were in the white Seat were pronounced dead at the scene and a third man from the Seat was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the van was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been discharged.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: 'This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts remain with loved ones affected.
'We have specialist family liaison officers supporting them at this terrible time.
"We are in the early stages of our investigation, and I would ask that people put all those involved first and do not speculate on the circumstances.
'If anyone has any information about the collision or any footage of the collision or the vehicles beforehand, I would ask them to get in touch with us.'

A third man has sadly died following a three-vehicle collision in Upper Gornal this morning. The 22-year-old was taken to hospital but despite the efforts of medics has this afternoon passed away. Investigators are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision involving a Ford Transit van, a white Seat and a white Hyundai i20 vehicle, just after 7.30am today, Wednesday, August 6.
