Fresh blow for sacked SAS star Ant Middleton as he's kicked OFF reality show after brother's ‘row with TikTok stars'

The Sun29-04-2025

ANT Middleton has been kicked off The Amazing Race Australia before the series has even aired after a row involving his brother Dan led to the pair being disqualified.
The duo were sent home mid-production after Dan allegedly became involved in a heated off-camera argument.

The incident reportedly unfolded during a rest day from filming, when Dan is said to have shouted at social media stars and TikTok twins Luke and Scott O'Halloran.
Ant, who was axed from SAS: Who Dares Wins in 2021, was not directly involved but both brothers were disqualified and removed from the show.
It's believed fellow contestant and Australian reality TV star Brendan Fevola confronted Dan over the incident and told producers he and his daughter Leni would leave if action wasn't taken.
TV bosses responded by swiftly removing the Middleton brothers, with their footage now under review during post-production.
It remains unclear how much, if any, of their participation will makie it into the final cut.
In a statement, Network 10 said: "Network 10 takes the health, safety and well-being of all contestants seriously.
"Following a breach of the production's code of conduct by one contestant, on a day off during production, a team from The Amazing Race Australia was disqualified and swiftly sent home."
The show, featuring 13 celebrity teams competing for a $100,000 charity prize, is set to air on the channel later this year.
The Sun has contacted representatives for Ant for comment.
Ant spent years fighting for his country during his military career in the Marines and the Paras.
He was chief instructor on SAS: Who Dares Wins before he was saced after a series of blunders.
One included a tweet about the Black Lives Matter movement.
There was a social media backlash in June 2020 after Ant posted a video of violence at anti-racism protests in London.
He tweeted: 'The extreme left against the extreme right.
"BLM and EDL are not welcome on our streets, absolute scum.
"What a great example you are to your future generation. Bravo."
The same month, Channel 4 set out a "new and clear commitment" to being an anti-racist organisation and said Ant's tweet 'in no way represent the views of Channel 4'.
Reports also circulated he had been fired after female crew members raised concerns regarding "inappropriate comments" he had made.
He denied any knowledge of making such comments.
Discussing what happened for him to lose his job, he told The James Smith podcast: 'Witch hunt? I never thought that existed until the latest shenanigans with SAS UK.
'Ultimately people can see through it and know I was pushed before I could jump.'
Speaking about the BLM tweet, Ant also defended himself at the time, telling The Sun: 'If you have half a brain cell you will realise what I was talking about.
'It was the protesters fighting and violence and rioting in broad daylight. Everything I fought for abroad to stop happening on our shores.'
Ant then left the UK to live in Dubai, heading off to Australia to do a foreign format of Who Dares Wins.
He told The Sun his move to Dubai has given his kids a better life.
He said: 'The children are safer in Dubai with what's going on in the UK at the moment with knife and gun crime and muggings.
'It's cleaner, the education is good, there's loads of opportunity here, so it was a no brainer.'
The Sun revealed he has been forced to sell his family home after business debts worth £1.2 million left him facing bankruptcy.

BBC star comes clean on Nick Kyrgios feud and Wimbledon row – ‘Embarrassed me'

Nick Kyrgios was a hit in the commentary box during Wimbledon last year – but the Australian has reportedly been left off the BBC's broadcast team for the upcoming tournament Andrew Castle has shed light on his rumoured frosty relations with Nick Kyrgios, who previously labelled the seasoned Wimbledon commentator a "clown." Despite being a fan-favourite in the commentary booth last summer, Kyrgios is not expected to return to the BBC's coverage of this year's tournament at SW19. The outspoken Australian, often dubbed the 'bad boy' of tennis, temporarily traded his racket for a microphone in 2024 after an injury forced him out of action. Ongoing fitness concerns have ruled him out again this year, but the BBC has decided against re-inviting him to the panel, according to The Telegraph. ‌ That means viewers won't see a repeat of last year's pre-tournament friction between him and Castle, 61, with the action set to get underway on June 30. ‌ Still, the former British No. 1 has downplayed any talk of animosity, suggesting their feud was in fact exaggerated. "I didn't have any tense encounters and nor did he," Castle told The Express, via Globusbet. "Nick said something on Twitter about me and he got told that it's not the way to be." Kyrgios, never shy about voicing his thoughts, caused a stir during the 2023 Wimbledon final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. Using X (formerly known as Twitter), he slammed Castle for allegedly interrupting the commentary too frequently and accused him of failing to remain quiet during key moments. "Whoever is the clown next to [Todd] Woodbridge in that commentator box needs to just not speak, spoiling the match big time," Kyrgios posted. Castle, who later labelled Kyrgios the "golden boy" of clickbait, admitted he felt "embarrassed" after reading the comment but didn't dwell on it. "I said to him that he embarrassed me there and he said, 'Oh mate.' That was it," Castle recalled. ‌ "I stand by what I said about where we were in the match he commented on. Nick said something online and there's so much attention on Wimbledon and on his Twitter feed that people make something up that isn't there." Their verbal sparring continued into the following year. While working alongside Castle on the BBC team, Kyrgios slammed him again, calling him "disrespectful" for his commentary on a showdown between Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz – a match highlighted more by booming serves than extended rallies. During that broadcast, Castle remarked: "You can't say it's been the most captivating tennis, to be frank." Kyrgios responded swiftly on social media. "'Not captivating' – was a comment from a commentator who is doing the Zverev and Fritz match," he wrote. ‌ "This alone tells me that they have probably never played tennis at a high level. Two of the most elite servers we have. Quite disrespectful. C'mon be better." Castle, once again, chose not to take the post personally. He even complimented Kyrgios for his contributions in the commentary box, praising his natural communication skills and knowledge of the sport. ‌ "I like working with Nick, he did a great job at last year's final," Castle said. "It was my 21st final and he slotted right in with Tim [Henman] and I – his delivery is really good for tennis. "He picks things up, knows when to speak and obviously knows what he is talking about so that was great. We talked a little bit about being careful [with what he posts online] and he said, 'Sure, it's over.' So that's it." Though Kyrgios has never captured a Grand Slam title, he came closest at Wimbledon in 2022, advancing to the final before losing to Djokovic in four sets. That match is perhaps best remembered for Kyrgios' infamous "700 drinks" tirade aimed at a spectator he said was distracting him. Since then, he has struggled with recurring injuries, appearing in only two Grand Slams over the last three seasons. His comeback at the Australian Open this January ended quickly with a straight-sets loss to British up-and-comer Jacob Fearnley in round one.

Wes Nelson reveals secret battle with career-threatening health condition ahead of music comeback

MUSIC star and Love Island legend Wes Nelson has been quietly undergoing treatment to save his voice. The talented 27-year-old has spent the past five years working relentlessly on his music, writing hundreds of songs and performing countless shows. 4 4 However, his voice box paid the price for his work ethic and he was diagnosed with muscle tension dysphonia. The condition, which is often caused by excessive muscle tension, can alter the sound of the voice, making it tire quicker and high notes more difficult to reach as well as causing pain in the neck and while speaking. Fortunately, Wes has worked with doctors to get back to a place he can perform to a live audience and this Friday he makes his official comeback at Battersea Power Station for a gig to celebrate Lipton's Kombucha. Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Wes said: "I had muscle tension dysphonia, which is not great, and can really mess up some people's careers but I've got it, I manage it and it works and it's fine now. "I've been going through vocal therapy so my voice has been up and down in terms of vocal health and I've really been focusing on music. "It's got so much better over this past year where I've been seeing different experts having a cameras up my nose and down my throat, it's a lot of depth and it has been tough to say the least, but we're back now. "It was a scary time. It just had to be addressed when I did so it didn't get out of control." Prior to his diagnosis, Wes felt blessed to be able to sing on command with little prep work needed to be performance ready. But his relaxed approach to his craft eventually caught up with him after a gruelling run on the road. "I think it initially started from doing like three tours in one year," he said. "Which was a lot of singing, and then I was recording hundreds of songs in that year as well so it was just overuse and not necessarily warming up and doing the right things. "People forget that some people can just get up and sing and I was one of the people who used to get up and sing and it didn't really matter and I sort of neglected that and abused that ability really because then you start to take a toll on your voice." However, he's smiling and raring to go once again with a summer anthem designed to get people up on their feet. Kombucha-cha is a conscious effort to get shy Gen-Zers moving after a new study found 68 percent didn't feel confident enough to get up and have boogie. And for Wes, his tie to Lipton's is personal. He has fond memories of stopping off at a chippy in Newcastle in his schooldays to pick up food and a refreshing Lipton's Ice Tea. He said: "I don't think people are dancing enough now. What's more summer dance than a cha-cha-cha? I did it in a villa. I do it every night. I do it on stage. "For me, this is summer in a bottle. So, I wanted to replicate that and get people dancing and moving with the track." 4 4 Wes's moves saw him finish as runner-up on Dancing On Ice in 2019 and though reality TV hasn't been on his radar since 2022's The Games, he's willing to make a return for Strictly Come Dancing. He told us: "I have thought about it because I honestly think my hips don't lie and I do want to inspire people. "If the opportunity ever arose to go on Strictly and do some bits like that I'm sure I'd seriously, seriously consider it. Give me some shiny shoes and I'm all over it."

EastEnders icon Kat Moon revealed as new Queen Vic landlady

It will be the first time that Kat's name will be over the door, despite having run the pub alongside husband Alfie from 2010 to 2013. The Sun revealed the news reporting that it would be a 'full-circle moment' for the character. It comes after current owners Linda Carter and her mum Elaine Peacock will be forced to put the pub up for sale. A source told The Sun: 'This will be Kat's third time working in the Queen Vic, but this will be her first time at the helm. 'It's a full-circle moment for the character, as when she first moved on to Albert Square in 2000, Kat gained employment as a barmaid at the pub. Then, ten years on, she helped Alfie. 'But now she's going to be the sole licensee of the boozer and it will kick-start a whole new chapter for the pub. 'Kat follows in the high heels of the Square's most formidable women — Angie Watts, her daughter Sharon and Peggy Mitchell — and puts her at the centre of the action.' EastEnders' Top 5 Villains Fans were eager to take to social media to share their excitement for Kat and actress Jessie Wallace. Many hinted at the nostalgia Kat's presence back in the Vic would bring. One person wrote: 'You're kidding me, I prayed for times like this, omg I'm going to cry!' Another said: 'So excited - 2010 comes calling!' 'We are so back, thank you lord,' one person commented, while another made reference to new producer Ben Wadey's recent arrival. 'Ben Wadey finally treating Jessie with the respect she deserves, I love it!' The Sun reports that for now, for unknown reasons, it will be just Kat's name above the door. Who have been landlords of Queen Vic in EastEnders? The Queen Vic has had some memorable characters behind the bar across the years. Peggy Mitchell's reign in the late 90s alongside Frank Butcher brought a lot of dramatic moments, while Sharon Watts comeback in 2001 also caused a stir. Den Watts returned to take the helms of the pub in 2004 alongside then wife Chrissie. Who was the first owner of the Queen Victoria in EastEnders? 'Dirty Den' Watts, played by the late Leslie Grantham, was also the original landlord of The Queen Vic when the show first started back in 1985. Reddit speculation on new Queen Vic owners In recent weeks, fans speculated on Reddit who they thought would work well at the Vic if it was to change hands. Recommended reading: 'I think Alfie was at his best when he was running the pub,' one commented. 'Phil can take it back over and have Alfie and Kat back in the reins. Or maybe I'm just all for the nostalgia though.' 'Kat and Alfie should be back running it,' another said. The Brannings, Beales and Sharon were also names that fans suggested. EastEnders declined to comment when approached by Newsquest.
