Fire Commissioner Skip McAdams did not provide details on how the crash occurred, but he said that there is scrap metal on the freeway at Hoover Road.
McAdams said another vehicle was involved, and the semi briefly caught on fire.
Authorities did not say which driver was hurt in the crash.

A massive IndyCar NXT crash took place at the event in Mid-Ohio on Sunday morning. The horrible crash happened at the Indy NXT Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio on Sunday. The accident happened after Escotto's Andretti Cape Motorsport's car's front left wheel made contact with Murray's left back wheel. It sent both of them into the barrier.
