NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal gives a reality check to Jayson Tatum with respect to his Hall of Fame speculations
During a recent episode of the widely watched show, The Big Podcast, Shaquille O' Neal lashed out at the Boston Celtics' famous star Jayson Tatum. As the buzz around the talented basketball athlete making it into the Hall of Fame is doing the rounds of the NBA world, Shaquille O'Neal did not think twice about blurting out facts and giving a reality check to his fans.
The former basketball star did not mince his words before calling out the popular Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum.
As Brandon Jennings pointed out on all the factors why Tatum should be in the Hall of Fame, he said-
'He is in an interesting position, because his resume is already a hall of fame. Shaq, look who we are putting in the Hall of Fame, brother. When you have a championship, when you have five All-Stars, when you have three All-NBA first teams, and when you have a gold medal, Shaq is already pretty much there.'
Shaquille O'Neal mentioned
'Have you ever seen the movie Ocean's Thirteen? I'm going to break into the Hall of Fame and take all my shit out. Mother***ers are just throwing people in there now. Isiah Thomas said it best one day. He said there are two Hall of Fames. There's a bad mother**ker Hall of Fame, and there's a Basketball Hall of Fame. So, which Hall of Fame is he in?"
Jennings further elaborated-
'I mean that could change. I would say he is in the basketball hall of fame, but right now he is 20-something years old. Okay, so who is the current NBA player who is not LeBron that you would already put in the Bad Mother**ker Hall of Fame?'
Shaq instantly added-
'I would have to go to Curry. Yeah, Motherf***er got how many rings? 3 or 4 rings.'
Shaquille O'Neal went on to compare Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum with the NBA legend Isiah Thomas, which clearly speaks volumes about his athletic prowess and his understanding of basketball as a sport.

The Indiana Pacers have defied expectations this season, reaching the NBA Finals with a thrilling Game 1 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Now, speculation is growing about how they could further strengthen their roster—and one potential move involves pursuing Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant . Indiana Pacers' Stunning Playoff Run and Future Decisions After an improbable comeback win against the Thunder, the Pacers are just three victories away from their first-ever NBA championship. While Oklahoma City remains the favorite, Indiana's rapid rise has sparked discussions about their long-term strategy. Tyrese Haliburton , the team's 25-year-old franchise cornerstone, is locked in until 2029. But beyond him, the Indiana Pacers face key decisions—especially regarding Pascal Siakam. The Pascal Siakam Factor Pascal Siakam, 31, is under contract for three more seasons, earning: - 2025-26: $45.6 million - 2026-27: $48.9 million - 2027-28: $52.3 million If the Indiana Pacers win the title, keeping Siakam alongside Haliburton becomes a no-brainer. However, if they fall short, Indiana might explore trading him for a higher-impact player. (AP Photo/Sue Ogrocki) As Colin Keane of Sporting News noted in the original article: "If the Pacers fall to OKC (as is expected), Indiana wouldn't feel obligated to hang up on Siakam trade requests; in fact, it might even begin wondering whether or not moving Siakam for a more brilliant piece is the move required to take the Pacers to the promised land." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Kevin Durant: The Ultimate High-Risk, High-Reward Move One superstar who could be available is Kevin Durant . The Suns may field offers for the 15-time All-Star, and the Indiana Pacers could present an intriguing package: - Pascal Siakam - Jarace Walker - Two unprotected first-round picks (2029, 2031) While Phoenix may prefer better offers from teams like the Spurs or Rockets, Indiana's pitch has upside: - Short-term gamble: Kevin Durant's $54.7 million expiring deal makes this a one-year title push. - Championship upside: Adding Durant to Haliburton's squad could be the missing piece. - Future flexibility: If it doesn't work, Indiana clears cap space in 2026 to retool. Potential Outcomes Scenario Result Durant leads Pacers to title Indiana cements itself as a dynasty contender. Experiment fails Pacers let Kevin Durant walk, freeing up cap space for new moves. Why Caitlin Clark is not playing Chicago Sky vs Indiana Fever today
Caitlin Clark missed the Indiana Fever vs Chicago Sky game on Saturday, her fourth consecutive absence due to injury. The 23-year-old confirmed she wouldn't play in the second clash between the two WNBA heavyweights this season just ahead of the game. Clark is recovering from a left quad strain suffered in the Fever's loss to the New York Liberty on May 24. She was expected to be out for at least two weeks and could make it to the game against Atlanta next week. The Fever are 1-2 in Clark's absence. Read More: NBA Finals Game 2 tickets: How to score a last-minute seat to the Pacers vs Thunder match Clark reported leg pain after the May 24 game, leading to an MRI that confirmed a left quadriceps strain. The Fever announced on May 26 that she would miss at least two weeks, ruling her out for games against the Washington Mystics, Connecticut Sun (May 30), and today's Sky game. Coach Stephanie White noted the injury is unrelated to a prior preseason quad issue. White suggested it's likely a Grade I or II strain, with Grade I involving mild pain and a two-week recovery, while Grade II, with some loss of function, may take 4–6 weeks. Clark said: 'I'm not going to rush back if I'm not feeling 100%,' but she feels 'good' with progress. The Fever are 3-4, having snapped a three-game skid with an 82-77 win over the Mystics on June 3. Today's 8 PM ET game, moved to the United Center for 20,000+ fans, was hyped as a Clark vs. Angel Reese showdown.
