Everton plan to derail Kenny Tete's new contract with Fulham
The respected Dutch right-back's current deal runs out at the end of June, meaning he could move on a free transfer, but the Craven Cottage hierarchy have been confident of a new agreement.
Everton are currently attempting to change that, as they proactively push for Tete. The 29-year-old has a three-year offer from Everton on the table improved terms.
He joined Fulham back in 2020 from French side Lyon and has made almost 120 appearances for the London side since. He played 22 times for the Cottagers in the season just gone as they finished 11th in the Premier League.
Tete made his debut for the Netherlands as a 20-year-old back in 2015 and has won 14 caps in total, although he hasn't pulled on the orange jersey since 2021.
Everton are in the market for a right-back with both Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson seemingly constantly battling injury. Coleman also turns 37 in October and it's not clear how much time he has left at the top level.

Sweden and Feyenoord great Kindvall dies at 82
Aug 5 (Reuters) - Former Sweden striker Ove Kindvall, who scored the winning goal for Feyenoord in the 1970 European Cup final, has died at the age of 82, the Dutch club said in a statement on Tuesday. Kindvall joined the Eredivisie side in 1966 and spent five prolific seasons in the red and white, scoring 129 goals in 114 league matches. Feyenoord won their only European Cup with a 2-1 win over Celtic after Kindvall netted the winner in extra time. They were the first Dutch club to win the continent's elite competition. Kindvall was also a national hero after playing a key role in securing Sweden's place at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico. He also took part in the 1974 finals in West Germany.

John Stones warns Man City have ‘fire in our bellies' after disappointing season
John Stones is convinced Manchester City have the 'fire in our bellies' to regain their Premier League title. City surrendered the crown they won in the previous four seasons to Liverpool during an underwhelming 2024-25 campaign. Defender Stones believes lessons have been learned and has detected a strong desire to put things right since the players have reported for pre-season training. Entering the final year of his contract, there had been speculation about his future but the former Everton player hopes that has now been shut down. He said: 'It's laughable to me. I understand why people do it but there's nothing to comment on. 'I love it here, nothing's happening. I'm here to fight and play and hopefully win some trophies.' Stones was speaking as City held an open training session alongside the club's women's side at the Joie Stadium on the fringe of their training complex on Tuesday.
