Footage of Olympic gold medallist Sha'Carri Richardson attacking her boyfriend at an airport in the United States has been released.
A security video from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport shows Richardson angrily confronting her partner, the American sprinter Christian Coleman, and shoving him into a wall.
Coleman was seen attempting to diffuse the situation by walking away from Richardson throughout the video, however, he was pushed and shoved on multiple occasions.
Richardson, who won a silver mdeal in the 100m and gold in the 4x100m relay at the Olympics in Paris last year, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault.
According to the Port of Seattle Police, Richardson told officers that the argument began because Coleman had taken her headphones.
'Richardson advised she did not assault him in any way and the dispute was only a verbal argument,' police documents said.
Coleman, however, has since insisted that Richardson should not have been arrested and described them both as 'two dominant personalities'.
'For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round,' said Coleman, who declined to press charges against Richardson.
'I don't feel like she should have been arrested.
'I mean people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself of course. So do I, so do you, so does everybody.
'But I'm the type of guy who's in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love. More Trending
'She's a human being and a great person, and I feel like you know, we've been able to be really good team-mates all year. We're just two dominant personalities. To me, she's the best female athlete in the world.
'She's just had a lot of things going on, lot of emotions and forces going on inside of her that not only I can't understand, but nobody can.
'Because she's one-of-one. I know it's been a tough journey for her this year.
'But she's gonna bounce back because she's the best female athlete in the world. I see it every day. She's gonna be just fine. She gonna be good, and I'm gonna be good too.'

Piers Morgan makes humbling Jake Paul climbdown ahead of potential Anthony Joshua fight

Piers Morgan has been outspoken with his views on Jake Paul's boxing career but the broadcaster has changed his tune amid speculation the YouTuber will fight Anthony Joshua next Piers Morgan has clarified a recent social media post where he claimed that Jake Paul 's boxing career to date had been 'boring staged b******' amid speculation the YouTuber turned boxer could soon fight Anthony Joshua. ‌ Paul, 28, initially found fame on YouTube but has won 12 fights since turning his hand to boxing in 2020. The American holds victories over boxing legends Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at heavyweight and cruiserweight respectively and has also beaten the former UFC star, Nate Diaz, in a boxing ring. ‌ Not everybody has been won over by Paul's performances in the ring, though, with Morgan taking aim at him recently. ‌ But following suggestions that Paul could be the next person to step into the ring with the former two-time world heavyweight champion, AJ, Morgan has changed his tune. The former Good Morning Britain host shared a social media post on Saturday where he stressed that his issue with Paul has been his bouts against athletes who are no longer at the peak of their powers; something which would not apply with AJ. 'I posted a few weeks ago that Jake Paul's boxing career has been 'boring staged bullsh*t,' Morgan wrote in a post on X. 'What I meant is that his fights have been predominantly against older, past-their-prime opponents, which may be lucrative for both sides, and may have entertainment value, but don't reveal how he stacks up against currently ranked boxers and therefore are not a good look for the sport. I did not intend to suggest that the outcome was predetermined and certainly didn't mean to suggest anything illegal. 'But if reports are correct that Jake is now in negotiations to fight Anthony Joshua, that would obviously be a seriously credible bout against one of the best heavyweights in the world. Jake is welcome to come on Uncensored to discuss this, and verbally slug it out with me, anytime.' While talk of a crossover bout between Paul and Joshua has been scoffed at in some quarters, AJ's long-time promoter, Eddie Hearn, recently admitted it could happen. 'This is very real,' he told The Ring. 'I had a good chat for about an hour with Nakisa on [July 30] and now I believe they want the fight. I really do. 'Nakisa was very honest and he's concerned about the fight, but Jake truly believes he can win the fight or at least be competitive in it. And now because of the size of the fight, it leads me to believe there's a very good chance it could happen. If I had to rate that chance I would say it's 50:50. It was a very positive conversation and we expect that conversation to extend over the coming weeks. If they really want it, it will happen.'

British horse rider Sarah Yorke, 37, dies after fall at equestrian event

British rider Sarah Yorke has died aged 37 after falling off her horse at an event in Northamptonshire. Yorke was competing at the Aston-le-Walls Horse Trials on Friday when she fell at the third fence of the course, which includes showjumping and cross-country obstacles. The 37-year-old was given immediate medical treatment but died from the fall. Her horse, MGH Hera, did not suffer an injury and walked back to the stable after the accident. Yorke and MGH Hera were competing at the BE100 level of the British Eventing competition for the first time together. At that level of competition, the maximum height of show jumping fences is 105cm, and cross-country fences are 100cm. Last month, she won with her seven-year-old horse in the BE90 class at Swalcliffe Park in Oxfordshire. The three-day trials at Aston-le-Walls, which were due to enter their final day on Saturday, have been abandoned after the accident. A statement from British Eventing read: 'It is with the deepest sadness that we confirm Sarah Yorke (GBR), 37, suffered a fatal accident while competing at Aston-le-Walls Horse Trials in Northamptonshire, England, on Friday 8 August 2025. 'Medical professionals attended immediately following her fall at fence 3; however, tragically, she could not be saved. More Trending 'Her horse, MGH Hera, was assessed by the on-site vets, walked back to the stable, and is uninjured.' Rosie Williams, chief executive of British Eventing, said: 'On behalf of everyone at British Eventing, I would like to express our deepest condolences to Sarah's family and friends. The thoughts of the entire eventing community are with them at this incredibly difficult time. 'A full review of the incident will now be undertaken by British Eventing in line with our established protocols. 'To respect the family's privacy during this very sad time, no further details will be shared.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. (Image: (Photo by)) Your rugby evening headlines on Saturday, August 9. ‌ Rees-Zammit 'could have made the Jaguars team' Louis Rees-Zammit could have made the Jacksonville Jaguars team, according to Sky Sports NFL pundit and former New York Giants cornerback Jason Bell. ‌ The former Gloucester Rugby winger has decided to quit American football and return to rugby after one season on the practice squad with Jaguars, with whom he did not play a regular season game. ‌ Preparing for his role as an analyst on Sky, Bell watched Rees-Zammit in pre-season training and was impressed with him, even suggesting he could have made the team. "Professional sport gives you a very short window," Bell said to The Guardian. "You're always fighting Father Time. "Louis should be very proud of himself. In the NFL we celebrate players who can play two different positions. The fact he even attempted to play a totally different sport at the very highest level is amazing. This year he could have made the team from what I saw in training, you never really know. Article continues below "I'm the wrong person to ask because I wasn't supposed to make it. I wasn't picked up in the draft, but ended up playing in the NFL for eight years." Rees-Zammit is now searching for his new club upon his return to rugby, with Cardiff and Bristol Bears just two of the clubs reportedly interested in acquiring his services. The Wales international is also being targeted by the new R360 league, which he will reportedly join next year after one season back in club rugby. ‌ England boss appeals to World Rugby over star's eligibility England head coach Steve Borthwick is appealing to World Rugby about the eligibility of English-based South African players, according to The Telegraph. Benhard Janse van Rensburg, Hanro Liebenberg and Jacques Vermeulen are players who are blocked from being called up by England because they have represented South Africa under-20s. However, the RFU believes they should be allowed to switch allegiance. Between 2015 and 2017, South Africa U20s were officially the 'next national representative team', meaning that despite the fact they never played for the senior side, these players are blocked from representing other countries. ‌ If World Rugby agrees with England's challenge, then it could unlock a whole host of Test match talent for Borthwick and Co. The meeting will take place at the end of September, and follows the news that the RFU wanted clarification over whether these South African players should remain "captured" by their country. Van Rensburg has openly discussed his desire to one day play Test rugby for England. ‌ Schmidt reveals Wallabies injury fallout from Lions series Australia head coach Joe Schmidt has offered a mixed update on the fitness of his star players just a week after their British & Irish Lions series triumph – and with the Rugby Championship opener against South Africa looming. Schmidt confirmed that key forwards Rob Valetini, Will Skelton and Taniela Tupou are all expected to be available for next Saturday's clash at Ellis Park, despite carrying knocks from the three-Test series win over the Lions. Tupou has been nursing a toe injury picked up during his influential display in the Sydney decider, while Valetini missed the first and third Tests with a calf problem. Skelton also sat out the opener with a similar issue before returning for the final two games. ‌ 'They're definitely all in contention for Ellis Park,' Schmidt told the Sydney Morning Herald. 'Will played 60 minutes [in the third Test], Nela [Tupou] played 60-odd in Sydney… Bobby [Valetini] did a really good run yesterday, so our ambition is that he'll train fully with us this week.' The Wallabies will face the Springboks again in Pretoria a week later. However, fly-half Tom Lynagh and prop Allan Alaalatoa remain longer-term concerns. Lynagh is following return-to-play protocols after concussion, while Alaalatoa is recovering from a shoulder injury. ‌ 'We're going to have to see how the next two weeks go for both of them,' Schmidt said. 'Allan is recovering pretty well… We'll also be really conservative with Tom. He's a young player and we've just got to make sure we look after them as best we can.' Ireland fall to Canada in final warm-up game before World Cup By PA Sport Staff Canada scored seven tries on their way to a 47-26 victory over Ireland in their final Women's Rugby World Cup warm-up match. ‌ Ireland made 10 changes as they prepare for their first game of the tournament against Japan on August 24 but they were second best in Belfast. Canada raced into an early 14-0 lead as Florence Symonds and Justine Pelletier touched down under the posts. Canada's Daleaka Menin was then sent to the sin bin for high contact on Ivana Kiripati and they were made to pay when the hosts halved the deficit through Beibhinn Parsons' try in the corner. ‌ Pelletier restored the 14-point lead for Canada before Ireland were reduced to 14 players when captain Neve Jones was shown yellow for conceding too many penalties. Menin barged over for a fourth try before Paige Farries helped make it 33-7 at the break. Julia Schell walked under the sticks to push Canada over the 40-mark but Ireland started to score points of their own. Article continues below Anna McGann helped herself to a couple of tries and Parson scored a third unanswered try before Canada's Sophie de Goede capped off the win.
