Jessie J's 'honest' cancer surgery update as she posts pictures from hospital
Jessie J was recently diagnosed with early breast cancer.
Singer Jessie J has updated her fans after her breast cancer surgery. The star announced recently that she had been diagnosed with "early breast cancer" and would soon be undergoing surgery.
Jessie shared some snaps of the last two days on her Instagram page, writing alongside it: "Blood warning. This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours.
"I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit.
"I am home now, to rest and wait for my results. Chanan is in a nurse outfit. No no, he isn't, but funny to imagine."
Jessie performed at the Summertime Ball a few weeks ago, where she told the 80,000 strong audience that this would be the last performance before her surgery.
She said: "Today, this show is my last show before I go to beat breast cancer! So it's so special to me you have no idea. I feel so special to be from the UK, to be an honest person and say how you feel.
"This is my last show before go treatment and all the things It's the most special thing and I'm so grateful for this life, for you guys, for my career, to my, my son.
"My partner, my parents. My family, my band, my crew."
She added: "We are so lucky, we have so much to live for, so much joy, so much, so many things to do."
Jessie made the announcement about her diagnosis in a video shared with fans online, reported the Mirror.
She told them: "I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word 'early'.
"It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job. I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music. I just wanted to be open and share it."
She added: "One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories.
"I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse-that's the bit that kills me..
"The timing of it has been mad but also beautiful and given me this incredible perspective in this time.
"But honestly I need to process it and talk about it and, I need a hug. You have loved me through all my good and hard times. And I don't want this to be any different."
