Speaking to ANI, Andrabi emphasised the importance of communal harmony and cautioned against posting ritual images on social media, warning that such actions can foster societal divisions.
'The security is present here along with all the officers of the civil administration. A meeting was held with them to tell them that the preparations for Eid Al-Adha have been done. It is not possible in the absence of security and civil administration...We discussed a lot of topics here in the meeting. Some people post photos of rituals on social media, which creates division in society. This should not happen,' the BJP leader said.
Meanwhile, Eidgah Imam Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali issued a comprehensive 12-point advisory on Monday to ensure the festival is observed with hygiene, respect, and social responsibility.
Speaking to ANI, Mahali said, 'A 12-point advisory has been issued for Eid-Ul-Adha, where Muslims are advised that while performing the ritual of sacrifice, please maintain hygiene and cleanliness. The ritual should be done on designated spots, not on roadsides or streets.'
The Imam also requested that no videos or photos of the sacrificial ritual be taken or uploaded to social media.
Eidagh Imam Mahali added, 'No video or photo of the sacrificial ritual should be taken or uploaded to social media. Distribute one part of the sacrificed animal among the poor and needy... Pray for the safety of your family and the soldiers protecting our nation on the border...'
The holy festival of Eid al-Adha, also known as the 'festival of sacrifice' is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar.
Eid al-Adha is the second Islamic festival of the year and follows Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. The date changes every year, as it's based on the Islamic lunar calendar, which is about 11 days shorter than the Western 365-day Gregorian calendar. It is celebrated as a commemoration of Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice everything for God. (ANI)

Nagpur: Revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has attacked the Congress over their allegations regarding voter lists. "The upcoming local self govt elections in the next few months will be held on the same voter lists on which the assembly elections were conducted. Therefore, if Congress leaders have any objections, they should raise them with the Election Commission right now. Nagpur: Recalling former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee 's trademark wit, BJP city president and ex-mayor Dayashankar Tiwari on Sunday narrated how the veteran leader turned even electoral defeat into humour during his 61st birthday celebration in Nagpur. Speaking at the launch of 'Retirement', a book by city cardiologist Dr Kirti Tanna, Tiwari said that after Vajpayee lost the 1985 Lok Sabha election from Gwalior in the aftermath of Indira Gandhi's assassination, he was invited to Nagpur for his 61st birthday. 10 Kanwariyas injured as tractor-trolley overturns in Akola
Akola: A tractor-trolley carrying Kanwariyas to fetch holy water from the Purna River overturned at Bhim Nagar Chowk after losing balance and crashed into an electric pole on Sunday night. At least 10 Kanwariyas were injured in the accident, with two to three reported to be in critical condition, said police. According to eyewitnesses, nearly 30 to 35 devotees were on the tractor-trolley for the state's largest Kanwar Yatra held ahead of the last Shravan Somwar. The hit to the electric pole snapped the power supply in the area. Due to the power outage, police and local residents faced difficulties in carrying out rescue operations. Police initially shifted all the injured to the Government Medical College (GMC), from where they were referred to private hospitals. On being informed, BJP MLA Randhir Savarkar, MP Anoop Dhote and local BJP netas visited the hospitals and assured to bear the medical expenses.
