The Passing Out Parade (POP) of the fifth batch of Agniveervayu Trainees (AGVT) was held at the Airmen Training School, Belagavi on Friday .
It marked the successful culmination of 22 weeks of rigorous and transformative ab-initio training by 1634 Agniveervayus Men and Women.
The Reviewing Officer for the ceremonial event was Air Vice Marshal, PCP Anand, Senior Officer in Charge Administration, HQTC IAF. He lauded the impeccable drill and the spirited performance by the Agniveervayus. The Air Vice Marshal congratulated the successful trainees and felicitated the award winners with trophies for their outstanding performance in different categories.
Shweta was adjudged as 'Best in Academics', A. Krish Pargai as 'Best in GST', Ashish Kumar as 'Best Marksman' and Praveen Kumar was adjudged as 'Best all-rounder'. The Reviewing Officer urged the Agniveervayu trainees to remain vigilant, adaptable and committed to their duties, in view of the ever-evolving nature of global security challenges. He further emphasised the importance of adaptability, by encouraging the young warriors to continuously learn, embrace new challenges, and remain mission-ready in ever evolving global security environment.
The event was a moment of pride and emotion for the families of the Agniveervayus, who were present in large numbers to witness the ceremony. The Reviewing Officer expressed heartfelt appreciation to the parent for their unwavering support and acknowledged their vital support in shaping the next generation of Aerospace Defenders.

The parade was reviewed by Brigadier Hemant Singh, Commandant of the Army Air Defence Centre, who congratulated the 401 Agniveers on successfully completing their rigorous training and taking their 'Antim Pag' (final step) towards joining the ranks of the Indian Army. The event was marked by an impressive drill display, which was a testament to the high standards of discipline and training imparted at the Centre. Brigadier Hemant Singh, in his address, highlighted that drill is the bedrock of military discipline. He emphasised that excellent drill not only reflects the physical and mental coordination of the soldiers but also showcases the unwavering discipline and unity among the Agniveers. 'A soldier's discipline is forged on the drill square. The precision and synchronization displayed today are a reflection of your commitment and the high standards set by the Army Air Defence Centre,' he remarked. A special highlight of the ceremony was the presence of the proud parents of the Agniveers, who were invited to witness this significant milestone in their wards' lives. In recognition of their support and sacrifice, the parents were presented with the 'Gourav Padak,' a token of honour and gratitude from the Army. During his address, Brigadier Hemant Singh exhorted the Agniveers to continue to excel in all walks of life, both within and outside the Army. He made special mention of the recent Operation Sindoor, a landmark operation in which Army Air Defence Gunners, many of whom were trained at the very same Centre, successfully shot down 600 hostile drones. The Commandant emphasised that this remarkable achievement was a direct result of the rigorous training, professionalism, and adaptability of the AD Gunners. He encouraged the passing out Agniveers to draw inspiration from such feats and to uphold the proud traditions of the Corps. The Passing Out Parade concluded with a resounding sense of pride and accomplishment, as the 401 Agniveers marched forward, ready to serve the nation with honour, discipline, and a commitment to embracing the challenges of the future. 158 Agniveers pass out from 14 Gorkha Training Centre in Subathu

Subathu (Himachal Pradesh) [India], June 5 (ANI): A strength of 158 Agniveers passed out in an impressive Passing Out Parade at the historical Salaria Stadium of 14 Gorkha Training Centre in Subathu, an official release said on Thursday. The recruits, who swore allegiance to the Indian Republic, underwent rigorous training for over 31 weeks in various aspects of physical fitness, battle and field craft, weapons, and tactics. As per the release, the Agniveers would now be joining the Gorkha Battalions of First and Fourth Gorkha Rifles of the Indian Army, having a rich and glorious military history of over 200 years of valour and sacrifice. Brigadier Puneet Sharma, Commandant 14 Gorkha Training Centre reviewed the parade. He also addressed the parade, wherein he motivated all the recruits to keep the National and Indian Army flag flying high across all frontiers of the Country. The parade was followed by a melodious Pipe Band display of martial music with excellent synchronisation. The function concluded with a breath-taking Physical Training Display that left the spectators awe-inspired. More than 300 serving persons, Ex-Servicemen, parents, and relatives of Agniveers graced the event. Earlier today, the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regiment Centre in Srinagar held the Passing Out Parade (POP) of its fifth batch of Agniveers, marking the induction of 326 recruits into the Indian Army. The newly inducted Agniveers completed 31 weeks of physical, mental, and tactical training before marching in unison during the attestation ceremony. Senior Army officers, instructors, and recruits' family members attended the event. The Reviewing Officer, a senior Army official, congratulated the newly inducted soldiers and encouraged them to uphold the rich legacy of the JAK LI Regiment with unwavering commitment and courage.
