Omos Reveals Why NOAH Run Didn't Last Longer

Yahooa day ago

Why didn't Omos have a longer run with Pro Wrestling NOAH earlier this year?
Back in January, Omos had a very promising month as a member of the Pro Wrestling NOAH roster and even captured championship gold. However, after a successful title defense on January 25, Omos announced that he was heading back to WWE and relinquished his title. Despite this, Omos hasn't been seen on WWE programming since.

WWE Superstar Omos recently spoke to WrestleZone via GamblingIndustryNews. When asked why his run in Pro Wrestling NOAH seemingly ended abruptly, Omos revealed the plan was always for him to only be there for a month.
'It was always the plan to spend one month there. I do hope I get to go back soon, but that was always the plan,' he revealed. 'I'm a married man, so being away from my wife for over a month was tough! I spent Christmas Day and New Year at home, then went to Japan for four and a half weeks. I loved it and had a blast in Japan, but still, I missed my wife, and I did want to be home, but I cannot wait to go back whenever that time comes.'

Hikaru Shida's AEW Absence Explained

Three-time former Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida hasn't been seen on AEW programming in quite some time. Shida hasn't been seen on television for AEW since the November 20 episode of Dynamite when she lost to Kris Statlander. So why hasn't she been featured at all in 2025? Advertisement On a recent Twitch stream, AEW EVP Kenny Omega revealed that Shida is currently back in Japan waiting on her visa to be renewed. Omega also confirmed that he's been taking care of her cats while she's away. 'Shida, it's unfortunate, every couple of years, everyone has to go back to their home country and re-up their visa,' Kenny Omega said. 'I would've hated for her cats to have been alone for who knows how long because you never really know how long the process is going to take. In this case, it's taking quite a while. Her cats get separation anxiety and don't like being alone. Dobby [Kenny's cat] is generally very gentle. They do get along. It's nice and it's fun. I would do it anytime. It's not a chore.' Hikaru Shida Provides Update On Her Visa Status

Hikaru Shida has opened up about her visa status and when she hopes to have a resolution that allows her to return to the ring. Speaking to a fan in a recent YouTube stream (via Fightful), Shida was asked about an update on her status of renewing her visa. Shida said she 'nowadays, it's getting hard' to do, but she hopes to have good news soon. Advertisement 'I really hope to,' Shida said. 'Visa, especially nowadays, it's getting hard. AEW has so many wrestlers and the lawyer has to do so many things. I know it takes time. I hope I can go back to AEW soon. For now, I am enjoying my stay in Japan and getting more energy to wrestle in the US again. I'm looking forward to my comeback. Please wait and I'm so glad if you support me.' Shida hasn't been on AEW television since November 2024, and there are currently no plans for her to appear anytime soon as she continues to work on returning.
