Omos Reveals Why NOAH Run Didn't Last Longer
Why didn't Omos have a longer run with Pro Wrestling NOAH earlier this year? Back in January, Omos had a very promising month as a member of the Pro Wrestling NOAH roster and even captured championship gold. However, after a successful title defense on January 25, Omos announced that he was heading back to WWE and relinquished his title. Despite this, Omos hasn't been seen on WWE programming since. Advertisement WWE Superstar Omos recently spoke to WrestleZone via GamblingIndustryNews. When asked why his run in Pro Wrestling NOAH seemingly ended abruptly, Omos revealed the plan was always for him to only be there for a month. 'It was always the plan to spend one month there. I do hope I get to go back soon, but that was always the plan,' he revealed. 'I'm a married man, so being away from my wife for over a month was tough! I spent Christmas Day and New Year at home, then went to Japan for four and a half weeks. I loved it and had a blast in Japan, but still, I missed my wife, and I did want to be home, but I cannot wait to go back whenever that time comes.' It was such a treat to see him on Monday Night Raw. That's probably one of the best promos I've seen in my entire life. It was just so raw. To see him have a resurgence and the backing of the people is just a treat to watch. I don't even think the audience was able to grasp the moment. But him and me being a black man, I was able to see beyond just the promo, sorry I'm getting emotional about it. I was able to see beyond the promo, understand what he was trying to get across. So dude I'm so beyond elated for him.' With Omos staying with WWE for years to come, it would be exciting to see what is up next for him, and for the stories that make WWE a must-watch show. Ireland Eurovision star Emmy's boyfriend, day job, famous brother and real name
Eurovision 2025 is finally here, with the second semi final featuring Ireland taking place tonight. A total of 37 countries will have taken to the stage in Basel, Switzerland ahead of the grand final on Saturday. Ireland's representative this year is Norwegian singer Emmy, who will be flying the flag for Ireland with her song Laika Party. Written in collaboration with an Irish songwriter, the track helped her secure the win on RTE's Eurosong earlier this year. The song is a tribute to Laika, the Soviet dog who in 1957 became the first mammal in space. The idea for the lyrics came after Emmy accidentally discovered her tragic story, prompting her to imagine an alternative fate in which the animal, instead of dying, experiences an endless party in space. Emmy, who is no stranger to the limelight with a whopping 1.2 million followers on TikTok, promised a performance with "silver, space and a rocket!" She said that stepping onto the Eurovision stage is like living out a "childhood dream that I never, ever thought would come true", adding that "my only two goals for Eurovision are to try my best and to make Ireland proud." Ireland's Eurovision hopes are hanging by a thread, with Emmy odds-on at 4/6 to crash out in tonight's semi-final and just 11/10 to qualify - ranking behind 11 of the 15 nations competing for 10 final spots. Should we make it through, Ireland remains a 100/1 outsider to win the contest outright, according to Gambling Industry News. Last year, Ireland finished in sixth place with an eye-catching performance by Bambie Thug and their song Doomsday Blue. Emmy is not just any 24 year old singer-songwriter - she hails from Sande, a quaint village not far from Norway's capital Oslo. She goes by Emmy Kristine Guttulsrud Kristiansen offstage. Emmy first grabbed headlines in 2015, when she was just 14, on the junior music show known as Melodi Grand Prix Junior. In 2021, she took part in the Melodi Grand Prix - Norway's gateway to the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. She blitzed into the final but didn't manage to clinch a spot in the ultimate showdown, the gold final. Not only does Emmy shine on stage, but in her other role as a freelance graphic designer. She has also put a bit of her time into Norway's jury for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Her stint as a juror offered invaluable perspective as she played a part in picking out the acts and tunes for the famed contest. She went on to post on social media and has since become well-known for singing on TikTok, growing a profile with 1.2 million followers. Emmy has been pictured with her boyfriend of seven years, Tommy Kittelsen, ahead of the semi-final. She opened up about how Tommy has been a massive support to her as she prepares for the competition, telling RSVP Live: "Tommy works in finance in Norway. He was watching Eurosong at home and he was so excited, telling all of his friends that I got through." Tommy has travelled Basel and will be in the crowd to watch Emmy perform tonight, and she thinks she will be less nervous as a result. She said: "It's like bringing some of home with me. He's very good at calming me down after a long day." However, she revealed that her parents will miss her performance, as they've stayed at home to look after her pet cat Suzy. Emmy told Newstalk: "My parents are at home watching the kitten because my boyfriend joined me here. Someone had to watch the kitten. She is called Suzy. We've had her for five months now. She is adorable and I miss her so much". Emmy's older brother, Erlend Guttulsrud Kristiansen, is one of the songwriters credited on Laika Party and joins her on stage as her robotic keyboard player. He is no stranger to the spotlight himself - back in 2011, he took part in the Melodi Grand Prix Junior contest. Erlend's portfolio includes penning tracks like Scars for Fake Eclipse and lending his vocals to the band's song Without You. The first Eurovision semi-final airs on BBC One at 8pm on May 13. Fans outside of the UK can watch via the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.
