Tenders invited for Mokama-Munger green alignment four-lane
The project, estimated at Rs 2,243.16 crore, will span 82.40 kilometres, with tender submissions due by September 10, 2025.
"A significant portion of the project, approximately 14 kilometres of the Karjara-Munger stretch, will be integrated with the Raxaul-Haldia Expressway. The govt aims to execute the tender and commence construction within the next two months," he said.
Nabin explained that land acquisition for the green alignment is currently underway.
Once completed, this highway will ensure direct four-lane connectivity from Buxar to Mirza Chauki, significantly improving transportation in the region.
"The project aligns with chief minister Nitish Kumar's vision for infrastructure development in Bihar. Upon completion, it will help achieve the state's goal of enabling residents from remote areas to reach the state capital within four hours. The construction period is set at 2.5 years post-allocation, with the contractor responsible for maintenance for the subsequent 15 years," Nabin said.

Lucknow: The three-day CM YUVA Conclave and Expo-2025 received an overwhelming response, with over 30,000 youths participating in the event, which concluded at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Friday, marking a significant milestone in the state's entrepreneurial journey. "The scale of engagement was unprecedented, with more than 24,000 online registrations, over 4,000 offline participants, 10,000 business meetings, 50,000 business queries, and 8,380 prospective entrepreneurs emerging from the conclave," an official spokesperson said.
