Erin Andrews Reveals Her Surrogate Had a Miscarriage With Baby No. 2: It ‘Really Sucks'

Yahoo22-05-2025
Erin Andrews shared the heartbreaking news that her surrogate had a miscarriage as the sportscaster and her husband, Jarret Stoll, were expecting baby No. 2.
'We got some real s--tty news today that our surrogate had miscarried," Erin, 47, told cohost Charissa Thompson on the Thursday, May 22, episode of their podcast "Calm Down with Erin and Charissa."
The NFL sideline reporter revealed she and Jarret, 42, had been expecting a baby girl.
"So, I have dealt with this before, but things were going really, really well. And her little heartbeat and her numbers were really good — so much so I even told you guys a couple weeks ago because we thought we had such good news,' Erin continued, revealing she had told Charissa, 43, and podcast producer Ryan Musick, even though she hadn't made the pregnancy news public yet.
"But Ryan, you did such a bang-up job with this podcast today. I've been trying really hard to pay attention, I've just been tearing up the whole time and trying to stay focused," she told her colleague. "But I'm also really, really good at suppressing my feelings and work really helps me with that."
Since the miscarriage news was still so fresh, Erin revealed that Ryan offered to push back the podcast taping to let her deal with the grief, but she decided to push forward.
"Been sitting here thinking about Taylor Swift's song, 'I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.' I'm really good at doing this s--t with a broken heart," the fan of the pop superstar confessed.
The 2025 Super Bowl reporter discussed how the surrogate she and Jarret used to welcome son Mack, 23 months, in June 2023, also suffered a pregnancy loss. Erin previously shared how the couple had been expecting twins at the time.
"But I think I kinda made a promise to myself that when I was really open with how s--tty infertility has been and our journey with two surrogates, because we did lose … we had loss with our first surrogate and then luckily with our second one, we had Mack, that I was just going to be honest with people," Erin said of sharing the news about her latest loss.
The Lewiston, Maine, native has been open about her infertility struggles in the past, revealing how she went through nine rounds of IVF before turning to surrogacy.
"But like I said, when I was first dealing with all these infertility issues and loss that I just wanted to let other people know that we're dealing with them that I get it and I understand. And I'm going to do that again," she explained. "This really, really sucks, but so many people are dealing with it, so if you feel alone and you feel like a failure, I do too. But you're not the only one."
"I just wanted to be open with people and be like, 'This sucks.' And today, this really does. It makes you really realize when I have my little boy, and today, he was throwing a fit royale with us, it's like, you know what? It doesn't matter," Erin shared.
"We'll be good. I was saying to Jarret today ... this is like the hardest part," she added. "But I just didn't want to be back here in the loss column."
Erin and Jarret married in June 2017 after nearly five years of dating. The retired NHL player was by her side as she successfully battled cervical cancer in 2016. Erin froze her embryos for future use prior to undergoing two surgeries and was declared cancer-free in November 2016.

Yes, the Browns' new all-brown uniforms are just as gross as you think

Despite having one of the trickiest color palettes in all of professional sports, the Cleveland Browns have almost always managed to look better than they play on the field. But in 2025 -- a season where Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel are competing for the starting quarterback role -- the franchise has opted to lean in to the groan. For the last 70-plus years, Cleveland has utilized brown, orange and white in simple, clean contrast to give the NFL one of its sharpest, most recognizable looks (2015-2020 Browns uniforms not included). The last two seasons, that's included an alternate white helmet that, while not the team's best option, still worked. This winter, however, they've opted to reflect the probable mess on the field with, uh, lots of earthen colors. That's the only logic behind a uniform reveal, sponsored by Dude Wipes (naturally), of an all-brown alternate uniform that effectively takes the balance and contrast of the team's use of white and throws it out the window. Well maybe it looks better in motion? Hmmm, nope. But if that unveiling video is accurate and my knowledge of the 1999 Kevin Smith classic film Dogma is correct, that suggests Myles Garrett, Denzel Ward and Jerry Jeudy are all Golgothans (the video in that link is NSFW, because it comes from a 1999 Kevin Smith classic). In fairness, this would explain a lot behind Garrett's general demonic presence. Anyway! These uniforms, PRESENTED BY DUDE WIPES, stink. Especially when the Browns could go out looking like this: Look at that. Zero wipes needed.
