'An ordinary family's worst nightmare'
If you're a parent, then prepare to be terrified by Netflix's new four-part crime drama series Adolescence, which is out on Thursday.I've had a sneak preview, and can tell you that the opening scenes alone are highly stressful. We see police officers smashing their way into a house, before arresting a 13-year-old boy on suspicion of murdering a female classmate. The visibly distressed boy is then taken to a police station, while his family protest his innocence. This is a one-shot drama, co-created and co-written by Stephen Graham, who also stars as the boy's father. It also features Top Boy's Ashley Walters, and newcomer Owen Cooper.Graham described the plotline as "an ordinary family's worst nightmare", while co-writer Jack Thorne told me he hoped it would inspire a conversation "about technology, about education, about parenting".
TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney's new book
You probably know American influencer Dylan Mulvaney from her viral social media videos, detailing her gender transition. The 28-year-old trans actress is now publishing a new book, Paper Doll: Notes from a Late Bloomer, which comes out on Tuesday. The book promises an intimate reflection of her life pre and post-transition.Topics include her first break in theatre, and the first time her dad recognised her as a girl. She also touches on the controversy surrounding her sponsored video for Bud Light, which led to a backlash and calls for a boycott of the brand. She told me she hoped the book would "help folks, no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity, feel a little more connected to their most authentic selves".
Get ready for The Wheel of Time
On Thursday, series three of The Wheel of Time drops on Amazon Prime.Based on Robert Jordan's fantasy book series, it stars Rosamund Pike - of Saltburn and Gone Girl fame - who is also executive producer. We're told that in the latest instalment, the threats against the Light (the force of good in the world) are multiplying.Expect good vs evil, magic, destiny and adventure. In short, everything you might want from a thrilling fantasy series.
The popular WWE2K series is back
By Tom Richardson, Newsbeat reporter
If you've always dreamed of entering a pro wrestling ring but don't fancy the gruelling training regimes, performance schedules or being body-slammed IRL, there's always video games. It's been a year of big change for WWE so far. It's moved its flagship shows to Netflix and recently done the unthinkable and made John Cena a heel (a bad guy). But like clockwork, the popular WWE2K series returns to PC and consoles (PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series) on Friday.Fans praised last year's edition of the annual franchise as one of the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be, and reviews say WWE 2K25 has built on that foundation. The faithful might be less pleased by the addition of console-exclusive The Island, a new online option that appears to take inspiration from the controversial City mode in publisher 2K's NBA titles. But for those who want to keep things simple, the developers hope other new modes and the 300-strong roster of WWE superstars old and new will make players say "Woo!", "Oh Yeah!" and "Yes! Yes! Yes!".

'I went to Benidorm on holiday and couldn't believe cost of a pint'
A man, who is known as the Benidorm Fanatic to his TikTok followers, recently headed to the popular holiday destination and was left gobsmacked by the price of a drink A Brit was gobsmacked by the cost of a pint in Benidorm, despite being a frequent visitor to Spain. Known amongst his TikTok followers as the Benidorm Fanatic, he recounts his visit to Uncle Ron's, a bar renowned for its affordably priced pints, where he found himself pleasantly surprised by just how much bang he got for his buck. In his popular video, he raves: "I tell you what, I believe it's actually a very, very nice pint as well, so it comes to the equivalent of about 84p in British money. Let's go and try it out, shall we? Let's give it a try." Upon reaching the bar, he continued: "So there you go, I'll give you a euro, a €1 pint, and I'll take that. Let's try this €1 pint. Look at that - a nice, clean, cold pint. It's got a nice, good head on it - let's try it." He enthusiastically shared his verdict, saying: "That is actually one of the best pints I've had in one of the popular bars. That is actually one of the best pints I've had in Benidorm to be honest with you. €1, I'll drink them all day." The video quickly gained traction, prompting viewers to share their impressions and even their own tales of Benidorm adventures. Among the comments, one user exclaimed: "Wow," while another who'd been there on holiday exclaimed: "I was there last week." Someone else who'd be there said: "Lovely pint. Had many." Whil a fellow TikToker simply added: "Bargain." Uncle Ron's, a hit with British holidaymakers in Benidorm, is famed for its budget-friendly tipples and hearty meals. TripAdvisor reviews boast of the establishment's offerings from breakfast through to dinner, with an average rating of 3.8 out of 5 on the platform, suggesting it's a must-visit for those seeking a decent meal and drinks while away. In the review section, one visitor commented: "Had a fantastic breakfast at Ron's today. Lovely English produce. Great service. Brilliant staff. "A massive group came in, but they were serviced promptly. Don't know how they manage with so few staff." Another shared their experience: "Last day we visited for some lunch before heading to airport. Left full, which is always a good thing. In all my times of going here, never left unhappy at the service nor the food - always really good." A third reviewer added: "We went many times during our two-week holiday. The staff are friendly and extremely hard working day and night. "Cheapest drinks you will find in town and food to suit everyone (daily deal only 6 euros). It's not a stylish 5* restaurant but then you wouldn't expect it. "For drinks just go to the bar like a normal bar. Always busy Sunday and Friday, so expect to book if you want a Sunday lunch. Would we go again? Certainly would!"

Will there be a series four of Ginny and Georgia after huge plot twist finale
Series three of Ginny and Georgia left on a huge cliff-hanger- so will there be a series four? The third series of hit Netflix show Ginny and Georgia dropped onto the streaming platform on Thursday, June 5, and super fans have already finished binging all 10 episodes. But, after a cliff-hanger ending (spoilers ahead) viewers are on the edge of their seats, wondering if a fourth series has been confirmed. Series three of Sarah Lampert's comedy-drama, which focuses on teen Ginny and her 30-year-old mum Georgia, picked up after the jaw-dropping events of the series two finale, in which Georgia was arrested for the murder of Tom Fuller at her wedding to Wellsbury mayor Paul Randolph. Georgia's son Austin, who was playing hide-and-seek and hiding in the wardrobe of Tom's room, had witnessed the act as Georgia smothered Tom with a pillow. The third season primarily focuses on the murder trial, with Georgia facing a possible prison sentence. In a shocking turn of events, Austin frames his father, Gil, for the murder he knows was committed by his mum. But aside from this twisted crime and resulting trial, a huge plot twist that came at the end of the series was that both Ginny and Georgia discover that they are pregnant, after Georgia had faked a pregnancy earlier in series three. And what's more, we don't know the identity of the father of Georgia's baby. So, will fans be blessed with another series of this twist-after-twist comedy-drama? Luckily, the show was renewed for a fourth series at the same time its third series was confirmed, back in 2023. But viewers will have to wait until then to find out the aftermath of Ginny and Georgia's fast-paced series three finale. And its fourth series is planned to be its last ever. Showrunner Debra J. Fisher revealed to the Hollywood Reporter that the Netflix show was always planned to run for four series, and that they had already mapped out plans for Ginny and Georgia's final episode. The showrunner told the publication: "When Sarah [Lampert] and I pitched the show to Netflix, we did pitch four seasons, so we know what we want the end game to be. 'We know what we want the last episode to be.' Although the fourth series of the beloved show is yet to receive a confirmed release date, fans can expect to wait around two years, as has been the norm for the previous series. Ginny and Georgia series one came out in 2021, series two in 2023, and series three in 2025. And fans are devastated to have to wait, expressing their eagerness for series four on social media. One fan said on X: "Just finished season 3 of Ginny and Georgia. An amazing season, I need season 4 on my desk tomorrow!" Another user wrote: "Just got done with season 3 and Georgia is still mother, Joe is still hot af, Paul DILF card got revoked, not any cringe worthy moments from Ginny, and Ellen still being Georgia best friend throughout every thing with that said give me season 4".
