OnePlus 15: New Square Camera Module in Development
The design prototype currently in development reportedly features a square camera module, which may replace the circular housing seen in recent models. The new setup is said to include a triple-lens system with a 50MP main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope-style telephoto unit. This adjustment aligns with OnePlus's previously stated goal of revamping its smartphone design language for future releases.

The front of the device may also receive significant updates. The OnePlus 15 is expected to feature a flat 1.5K display with minimal bezels, thanks to LIPO (Low Injection Pressure Overmolding) display packaging. This technology replaces traditional protective components with liquid polymer materials, which enable thinner borders and potentially improve durability and manufacturing efficiency.

OnePlus 15: Key Features (Expected)
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 is rumoured to feature Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. This chipset may include a custom Oryon CPU and an Adreno 840 GPU, equipped with a 16MB dedicated cache for improved speed and graphics handling. The upcoming device is also expected to house a large 7,000mAh battery, which will make it one of the largest battery capacities in a flagship device. Charging speeds may peak at 100W.

Furthermore, the device may also likely include additional features such as an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP68 or IP69 water and dust resistance rating. The OnePlus 15 is expected to launch in China around October, with a global rollout anticipated in early 2026. Reports also suggest that it may arrive alongside the OnePlus Ace 6 and be followed by the OnePlus 15R, a more affordable variant to target a broader market.

OnePlus Pad Lite review: For the price, gets it absolutely right
By launching its most affordable tablet yet in the Indian market, OnePlus is indicating two clear trends. First, Indians are buying tablets and increasingly so now, and the learnings from the OnePlus Go from a couple of years ago have been revised well. Equally, there are certain equalities with their more premium Android tabs, such as the OnePlus Pad 2 and the OnePlus Pad 3. Also gives OnePlus a little more in the arsenal against Xiaomi's very capable Redmi Pad line-up. The OnePlus Pad Lite is well built, good to hold and has the sort of finishing that doesn't immediately betray its pricing. (Vishal Mathur/ HT Photo) Speaking of which, the OnePlus Pad Lite's pricing which starts around ₹15,999 for the 6GB memory and 128GB storage spec (a step up is 8GB+128GB and LTE for ₹17,999), will compete with the Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2, which is priced ₹13,999 onwards, and also balances Wi-Fi and LTE spec options. At this stage, one can confidently recommend a budget Android tablet, since these are far superior than anything Lenovo or Nokia or Honor have sold at these price points, over the years. For starters, OnePlus' choice of Aero Blue as the only colour option going on sale in India, deserves a hat tip. This is a marked move away from the fatigue that's set in for the conventional blacks and greys that usually dot tech product lines. This blue, with a very nice matte finish (that also helps with grip), is a good balance to find among the many shades of choice. You'll notice a duality of colour on the back, and that adds a subtle visual cue. The OnePlus Pad Lite is well built, good to hold and has the sort of finishing that doesn't immediately betray its pricing. That's always a good thing. The 11-inch display, which is primarily the spec that puts the OnePlus Pad Lite in direct comparison with the Redmi Pad 2 for anyone who's choosing one. The OnePlus Pad Lite does well enough in terms of viewing angles, brightness levels and colours. For most potential buyers, it may tick all the boxes, but the context of having used the Redmi Pad 2m brings forth the element of pixels — the OnePlus Pad Lite has a 1900x1200 resolution, while the display Xiaomi has used, golds 2560x1600 which is comparatively sharper with text. Performance, if we are to test very closely with synthetic benchmarks, may vary slightly between the two — the OnePlus Pad Lite is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 chip while the Redmi Pad 2 gets the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra. Most users couldn't care less about synthetic benchmark scores, and in that realm, performance doesn't betray any superiority or inferiority. The OnePlus Pad Lite is fairly fast in responding to your aspirations of opening new apps even under a fair load of multi-tasking, as well as switching between them. Only occasionally may you bear witness to a momentary pause as things move along, but that could also be attributed to app optimisations and background processes. At no point does the OnePlus Pad Lite leave a user complaining about performance — as long as you remember what you brought this for. Software is familiar, and that includes OnePlus tablets and to a large extent, phones too. That said, the lack of placement for the OnePlus AI suite is disappointing, though circle to search (that's a Google Gemini feature, theoretically) is there. As is AI transcription for voice recordings. The OnePlus Pad Lite is, and there's little doubt, a compelling option in the budget Android tablet segment that's slowly but surely firming up with better quality and specs. At ₹15,999, it also represents OnePlus' strategic push into what would assume is the price segment where a large chunk of growth in India's tablet market is going to come from. There is a definitive OnePlus-esque refinement that the OnePlus Pad Lite brings to the table, a collective of the software and hardware in play. Ideally, a dependable Android tablet for media consumption, light productivity, and family use — without breaking the bank.

OnePlus Nord 5 Is Focused On Performance But Delivers Good Value
Last Updated: OnePlus Nord 5 gets a Snapdragon 8 series chipset this year, ditches the metal for glass and some more additions. The OnePlus 13 series has proven its mettle to a large extent this year, and now the focus shifts to the latest Nord 5 series in the market. OnePlus Nord 5 has a lot of upgrades that check the list for most buyers. You get reliable hardware, the right battery size, and other essentials which includes the software. The OnePlus Nord 5 is also priced in the Rs 30,000 bracket where the competition is intense but not very closely fought as you have devices like the Poco F7 really giving it a contest in this aspect. This is also the first Nord phone to feature the Plus Key instead of the alert slider. We got to test the Nord 5 for a week to see if it still offers good value. The Glass Effect OnePlus got the metallic touch with the Nord 4 last year but the new version has reverted back to glass which will have its appeal but surely less durable. In the age of lightweight devices, the Nord 5 weighs well over 200 grams and comes with 8.1mm thickness, which is neither too heavy nor too light compared to the other phones in this range. The basic vertical camera system at the back along with a clean design approach makes the Nord 5 look different from its predecessor but not by much. It only gets IP65 rating which offers durability for dust and low pressure water jets only. The frame is also made of plastic which again feels less premium compared to the aluminium unit on the Nord 4. We definitely liked the metal finish on the Nord 4 but this one isn't shabby but not too appealing either. The No-Compromise Display While there have been some cutbacks with the design, OnePlus has thrown the kitchen sink for the display on the Nord 5. You get a large 6.83-inch AMOLED 1B colours panel with 144Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ and decent brightness level. The screen only gets Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection which is decent but not the best you can expect in this range. The display quality is quite good, and a big unit which makes watching content an enjoyable experience. The panel itself delivers sharp and punchy colours and the content looks vibrant because of the deep blacks. The use of the 144Hz panel is limited to games while the rest of the apps function in the 120Hz universe with a standard display. Not Dropping The Levels OnePlus has opted for last year's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset which is a definite upgrade on the 7+ Gen 3 version on the Nord 4. Yes, you can easily get the Poco F7 or the iQOO Neo 10 with the 8s Gen 4 SoC and get the best and latest performance, but the Nord 5 is no slouch itself and the real-life results show its actual quality. You can enjoy playing games on the device, not only because of its size but how the hardware comes around. It also has a vapour chamber cooling system which keeps the heat away from becoming a discomfort. You also have a wide array of gaming modes which works out nicely in this sense. If you need a powerful gaming handset, the Nord 5 has to be on the list. You also get the feature-rich OxygenOS version that has some level of pre-loadedness but not as much as the other brands in the segment. You also have the new Plus Key button replacing the alert slider and lets you customise the camera, torch, or even the silent mode. Cameras Do Settle Performance is the core focus on the Nord 5 but OnePlus makes sure you don't feel like settling with the cameras. The 50MP main sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens make up for the system at the back. The primary sensor does well when the conditions are bright and the subject can retain the details. The portraits do look a bit sketchy but even here the colour tones look balanced. The low light imaging could use some improvements, especially as the sensor captures more light than needed in some cases. Even the selfie shooter is not the best in the segment and does an average job with the skin details yet again. Running Through Well The Nord 5 variant in India packs a massive 6,800mAh silicon carbon battery that supports 80W charging speed. The PCMark battery scores tell a different tale but the actual usage of the phone will easily coast through a day and more without really putting it through the strain. top videos View all The fast-charging support means you get around 80 percent juice in under 50 minutes. The funny thing is Poco F7 and iQOO Neo 10 pack an even bigger battery and deliver longer screen time usage but the Nord 5 is not bad by any stretch. OnePlus Nord 5 has many good attributes and hardware is at the top of its focus. The performance from the device will keep most people happy, as well as the robust battery life on offer. The cameras are manageable and the software works in comparison to others in this segment.
