New Orleans Saints trade Khalen Saunders to the Jacksonville Jaguars
Saunders won two Lombardi Trophies during his time with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2019 to 2022.
The 29-year-old defensive tackle left Arrowhead Stadium for the Saints in 2023 and has been a key piece of their defense in recent seasons.
However, he will now link up with Liam Coen and the Jaguars ahead of the new NFL campaign.
Ironically, Saunders made his final appearance for the Saints in a preseason game against the Jaguars on Sunday.
Saunders is the brother of one of Taylor Swift 's backup dancers, Kameron Saunders, who was prominently featured on her record-breaking 'Eras Tour.'
He is expected to be the top reserve option for the Jaguars' starting defensive tackle Arik Armstead.
The terms of the trade have yet to be disclosed.
Saunders is poised to enter his seventh season in the NFL. He managed 43 total tackles last year, which included two sacks.
The highlight of his season, however, was an interception against the Chiefs.
Saunders denied Travis Kelce a touchdown when he picked off Patrick Mahomes' pass in the end zone before returning the ball nearly 40 yards.

In her final Instagram post marking the end of the tour in December 2024, Taylor shared a playful photo of herself squeezed inside the "cleaning cart" which she used to secretly reach the stage each night. But many fans noticed that inside the cart sat a framed picture of Cardiff Bay. At first it seemed like an unusual detail, but once the new album announcement arrived, lots of people started talking about whether it was Taylor planting hints months in advance. As Mamamia pointed out, during her only Welsh date, Taylor debuted a bold orange-and-green combination - which appears to be the new theme for her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, for the 1989 portion of the show which was a look that hadn't been seen before on the tour.
