Talking about how classical dance impacted her journey, Devoleena shared, "I have always said it was my dance — being a Bharatanatyam-trained dancer — that helped me start my acting journey. Dance India Dance 2 will always be a special moment for me. Classical dance fostered discipline, enhanced my physical and mental well-being, and helped me understand my cultural heritage. It provides a unique avenue for storytelling, expression, and spiritual exploration.
It even helped me become a better actor."
Now embracing motherhood, Devoleena revealed how her relationship with dance has evolved, "Motherhood brings new perspectives, strength, and resilience. When my baby is crying, taking him in my arms and moving or dancing makes him feel relaxed. Even while sleeping, I move slowly, and he enjoys it and sleeps easily. I guess motherhood can make every mother dance."
When asked if she hopes to pass on the values of
Bharatanatyam
to her child, she smiled and said, "He is too young! But of course, I will always wish for him to understand and respect values, culture, and maintain discipline and grace.

Uttarakhand's folk literature to be digitised, linguistic map of state dialects to be created
Dehradun: Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday directed officials to take steps toward digitising Uttarakhand's dialects, folk tales, folk songs, and literature. "An e-library should be established for this purpose, and a linguistic map of the state's dialects prepared. In addition to expanding collections of folk tales, audio-visual materials should also be created," he said while chairing the general assembly and management executive committee meeting of the Uttarakhand Bhasha Sansthan (Language Institute) at the Secretariat. A decision was also taken that the ancient 'Bakna' singing of the Pandavani tradition in the Jaunsar Bawar region will be documented for preservation.
