TalkTV presenter James Whale celebrated his birthday surrounded by friends and family after sharing there is no cancer treatment he can have anymore.
The 73-year-old radio host told listeners he was at the end of his cancer journey, after being diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer five years ago.
Whale was joined for his birthday celebrations by contributor on his show, Lizzie Cundy, who shared a slideshow of snaps to her Instagram alongside James and his wife Nadine Lamont-Brown.
TV producer Simon Withington and Pimlico Plumbers founder Charlie Mullins, who said he had flown in from Dubai especially for the occasion, were also in attendance.
The photos were taken on a sunny day at a Kent hotel and posted alongside a clip of Cundy giving James a mini interview.
Speaking to the camera and holding a microphone, Cundy told her followers: 'We're here today to celebrate the legend that is James Whale's birthday.'

She then sat down to talk with Whale, who joked to her: 'Lizzie I didn't recognise you there with so many clothes on.'
On a more serious note, Cundy asked after his health, and he said he was feeling 'okay'. He added: 'As people know, I'm not about to die. Well, you never know, do you? I've had all my treatment.
'I don't want anybody feeling sorry, I'm just giving you a lowdown on it. If I make it to Christmas, I will be exceptionally lucky. Sometimes I think it will be easier just to have a heart attack and go.'
It comes after Whale told his listeners he could no longer undergo any cancer treatment.
Joined by Talk co-host Ash Gould, he said: 'I'm at the end of my cancer journey.
'I can't tell you how grateful I am to Talk to actually let me on the air and sit next to Ash, which is a real pain in the butt, but I've been doing it for 25 years!'
Speaking about his plans to still work for as long as he could, he quipped: 'It might actually be helping me, you never know, so I don't let that cloud my judgment – but on the medication I am on, I'm all over the place.

'I'm hoping to go on for another few weeks, few months, but as soon as I can't do the show anymore, I won't.'
In December, Whale's wife offered an update when he returned home from the hospital.
'After a worrying week, I am happy to report that @THEJamesWhale is out of ICU and back at home, having batted off the Grim Reaper yet again.
'This time he tried with a bout of Influenza A, but without success. Our hero is home for NYE,' she wrote in a caption.

How tensions between Andy Caroll and ex Billi are set to EXPLODE as he flaunts sexy new girl while she looks after kids
Billi's legal team are currently 'thrashing out the terms of her divorce with multi-millionaire Andy' PRESSURE COOKER How tensions between Andy Caroll and ex Billi are set to EXPLODE as he flaunts sexy new girl while she looks after kids THEY look like the perfect A-list couple, flaunting their chiselled abs and lithe tanned limbs in a Instagram holiday photo album even the Kardashians would be envious of. But behind the scenes of Andy Carrol and Lou Teasdale's never-ending Ibiza break is a fractious war of tensions with his ex Billi Mucklow - who he spilt from just 11 months ago - with pals of the star telling The Sun: "It's a pressure cooker waiting to explode." 7 Lou Teasdale and Andy Carrol have been flaunting their new love in a series of Insta-perfect holidays Credit: Instagram 7 They've enjoyed trips to Mallorca, the south of France and Ibiza since getting together Credit: Instagram 7 Billi has been left bringing up their five children Credit: Instagram 7 Last week Billi shared a snap of her kids and called them 'my world' And while former Towie star Billi has kept a dignified silence, sources say those around her are astounded by his brutal antics, flaunting his new relationship in her face while she comes to terms with the end of her 11-year relationship. Left home with the kids One told us: 'Everyone thinks Andy is acting like an utter p***k and is making himself look like a total fool posting so many sexy shots with Lou - who he moved on with alarmingly quickly after separating from the mother of his kids. 'While he is off galavanting around the party island, posting all these snaps that scream 'we are having hot sex!', Billi is at home looking after not only their children, but his two kids from a previous relationship with ex-fiancee Faye Johnstone. 'It's a silent gut-punch to Billie, who is an angel and adores the kids - looking after them and protecting them from this circus is her number one priority. 7 Billi and Andy split just 11 months ago Credit: Instagram 7 Sources close to Billi say Andy is acting like an 'utter p***k' Credit: Andrew Styczynski "To her it's second nature to be there for them and to be their caregiver." Indeed, just last week Billi posted a sweet snap of all five kids on social media, bearing the caption: "You kids are my world. You are everything I will ever need. I adore you." But while Billi is focusing on raising her brood, her pals are annoyed that she's the one holding the fort at home alone. The insider continued: 'For us, the people who know Billi well, it's galling to see her carrying the load while Andy is gallivanting by the beach with Lou. 'This isn't a one-off either." Just weeks after The Sun revealed Andy and Lou were an item, they jetted to Mallorca for their first holiday as a couple. Andy Carroll and Lou Teasdale can't keep their hands off each other on first holiday as they confirm romance And since then they've enjoyed several more trips to Mallorca, south of France and Ibiza. Andy and Billi split just two years after tying the knot. In a statement to The Sun at the time, Andy said: "Billi and I have privately separated earlier this year and we are under way with our divorce proceedings. "It has been a hard few months for our family and we continue to move forward amicably for our children." Everyone thinks Andy is acting like an utter p***k and is making himself look like a total fool posting so many sexy shots with Lou Insider Our source adds: 'We were all shocked when he went public with Lou in October just three months after he announced his split with Billi amid fears he was cheating. 'We think it'd be interesting to hear what Lou makes of it all, given she's a mum too and would know that Billi is picking up the load for Andy." In contrast to Andy's jet set life, Billi spends her days running a home with five children - on the school run, cooking and doing the washing. The source continues: 'The whole situation feels very disrespectful - but Billi has made it clear she won't be drawn into any of Andy's nonsense. 'She is holding her head high and just minding her own business - being a strong female role model for all the kids is her MO. 'For Billi, being a good mum to the kids they shared for many years is all that matters. Billi has no interest in dating right now. Billi's focus is on being a good mum to the kids and building a stable life for them all Insider "While the kids are with Billi, Andy sees them all as much as he can. 'Billi's mates have been rallying around her and it's the same with her family. It's not a 'woe is me' situation. She's had a really hard time but she doesn't want anyone feeling sorry for her, she is just getting on with it. 'But Andy should be ashamed of himself for how he has been acting. It's like watching a teenage kid, not a grown man with responsibilities." Pricey divorce Those close to Billi said her legal team is currently thrashing out the terms of her divorce with Andy. He's a footballer worth millions - Liverpool negotiated a transfer fee of £35 million while West Ham splashed out £15 million - so there's a huge amount of money at stake in this legal battle. They added: 'Naturally there has been a lot of back and forth but Billi is hoping that a line can be drawn under it all soon. "She has no interest in dating right now. Billi's focus is on being a good mum to the kids and building a stable life for them all."

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan share parenting flight tip after 'scary' warning
Mark Wright recently returned from a family holiday to Spain where he went with his wife, Michelle Keegan, and baby daughter, Palma, who had her first experience of an aeroplane Mark Wright shared a parenting flight hack he and his wife Michelle Keegan executed after being warned about how 'scary' flying with an infant could be. The celebrity couple became parents in March and in recent days they took baby girl Palma on her first ever family holiday abroad. And despite being anxious, travelling with the tot went smoothly. The Only Way is Essex star Mark, 38, returned from his trip to Spain for his Heart FM radio show with Olly Murs. And opening up about his sunny voyage, he said: 'I've just got back from Spain. It was lovely, bit of tapas. Palma's first holiday, she was fantastic.' He described the break with his loved ones as 'amazing' and explained how he and actress Michelle, 38, navigated the plane journey. He said earlier this morning: 'We come up with a great plan on the flight because you warned me about how scary it could be with a new kid on a flight. 'We just made sure we fed her on the way up for the take off, two-and-a-half hour flight, fed her on the way down, she slept during the middle, it was beautiful.' Olly replied: 'Mate, that is exactly that plan we tried to do for Miami but we realised the flight is ten hours!' Mark, laughing, responded: 'It didn't work.' Olly was in Miami where he spent time writing more songs and he described having a 'mad four or five weeks' where 'so much has been happening to me'. He also spoke about having to pull the plug on a Glasgow gig during the show after his voice started to give way. Referencing the unfortunate moment from last month, he said on his radio show: 'Obviously I got ill in Glasgow and had to cancel some shows which still really hurts me to say because I'm not that type of artist.' Michelle meanwhile, who has 7.5 million followers on Instagram, shared pictures of the family holiday to the Sotogrande Spa & Golf Resort Hotel. Writing a post, she said: 'Princess P's first family holiday.' Another wrote: 'Love the fact she didn't have a baby until 37. Now she can enjoy it. She didn't feel pressured and I'm glad you have shown there is no rush.' A third added: 'The first holiday is always full of such fond memories, and is also the most anxiety provoking. Looks like you smashed it.' Mark also shared a video from the trip showing how he surprised his nephews at the resort, saying: 'I arrived at the resort a day earlier than my nephews, who never knew I was going to be on the same holiday…. When they saw me, they were buzzing.'

James Martin interrupts Saturday Morning as show cut short
James Martin was on hand to present another instalment of his cooking show on ITV on Saturday morning, but the chef was forced to address a schedule change James Martin dropped a surprising career revelation on James Martin's Saturday Morning. While whisking away from the studio in Italy, James tantalised viewers with retirement talk, after tasting a local chef's dish, "Can I just say if your two sons don't want to do this, you call me." Chuckling, he mused over his future, "I might retire here. I could be over there, I could be doing this, it is fantastic." The culinary show host then steered the show into a candid interlude to announce a programming change. Before segueing to commercials, he informed fans the episode was being cut short due to other timetabled broadcasts, telling them, "Because of the Derby on ITV1 this afternoon, it is a shorter episode than usual today. But we still have time for one more dish," reports Devon Live. Since 2017, James has been helming his gastronomic adventure on screen and earlier delved into an off-camera venture. In conversation with Cotswold Life, he reflected upon his Live Tour 2025. "Every show is special. When I look at the list of places we'll be going to this year, they are serious venues - Birmingham Symphony Hall, Newcastle O2, Bridgewater Hall in Manchester," he narrated. James divulged further intrigue about his live performances, contrasting them with his TV appearances, "People think the live shows are going to be like my Saturday Morning show, but it's really not, it's fast-paced, fun comedy, made by a great team, and it is really cool." Opening up about a standout moment in his career, he reminisced: "Walking out on that stage, seeing my mum and dad in the audience was magical. They knew how much I had worked and for how long to get there." In another segment of today's programme, James chatted with Harry Redknapp about Soccer Aid, and welcomed chefs Daniel Clifford and Sally Abé into the kitchen. Sally whipped up some delightful ricotta dumplings, while Daniel impressed James with his delectable smoked butternut sorbet. James Martin's Saturday Morning is available to watch on ITVX.
