Richmond County Deputy arrested for domestic incident
According to police, deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute on the 2600 block of Bowdoin Drive at approximately 9:22 a.m. on March 31. Responding officers discovered that the incident took place between two of its deputies, Deputy Malcolm Bowens and Deputy Raneisha Price.
Deputy Bowens reportedly sustained a half-inch laceration to the back of his head after Deputy Price allegedly pushed him in the face, causing his head to strike the corner of a wall. He sought medical treatment at a local hospital.
Deputy Price was later located at her residence on Wheeler Road by responding officers.
'After being read her Miranda rights, Deputy Price admitted to pushing Deputy Bowens with her arm and hand before leaving the residence,' RCSO said in a statement.
Deputy Price was arrested and charged with Simple Battery, Family Violence and transported to the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.
Chief of Staff Lewis Blanchard placed Deputy Price on non-paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
'We hold those who work for us to the highest standards of conduct, both on and off duty,' said Sheriff Eugene Brantley. 'Our agency offers a variety of support and counseling services to deputies in a proactive manner to prevent incidents like this from occurring. However, when individuals violate the law, we will deal with it accordingly.'

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Jail records show that former Donaldsonville mayoral candidate and current vice chair of the West Ascension Hospital Board was arrested again Monday. Glenn Price, 68, was charged with obstruction of justice. Records available online show he posted a $5,000 bond and was released from the Ascension Parish Jail on Tuesday afternoon. A spokesperson for the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that the latest arrest is connected to Price's previous arrest in October 2024 in connection with a multi-parish stolen property scheme. Investigators learned that Price allegedly tampered with evidence while colluding with his girlfriend. In a video posted on Facebook, Price called the charges 'bogus' and maintained his innocence. 'As a matter of fact, I stole nothing. I don't live my life as a thief. I live my life to work in my community because, once again, that's what God's mission is for my life,' he said. Detectives started an investigation into the theft and illegal sale of copper wire that was reportedly stolen from utility poles in Livingston and East Feliciana parishes in September 2024. According to Ascension Parish deputies, Price was accused of selling copper to a Baton Rouge recycling center without a license. Price was initially charged with license required and illegal possession of things over $25,000 on Oct. 11. He faced new charges of money laundering over $100,000, illegal transmission of monetary funds on Oct. 31. Council to discuss resolution to remove West Ascension Hospital Board member
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Ascension Parish Council is set to discuss a resolution Thursday to remove West Ascension Hospital board member Glenn Price. Price, 68, a former Donaldsonville mayoral candidate and the current vice chair of the hospital board, was arrested again in July in connection with a multi-parish stolen property scheme. According to deputies, he allegedly sold stolen copper to a Baton Rouge recycling center without a license. The resolution seeks to remove Price from his position on the hospital board after felony arrests. He was formally charged with money laundering over $100,000, illegal transmission of monetary funds, illegal possession of things over $25,000 and license required. His most recent arrest was on a charge of obstruction of justice. Court documents show that Price's trial date is set for Oct. 15. Price has publicly maintained his innocence in the case and called the charges 'bogus.' In a July 29 video posted on Facebook, he said he 'stole nothing' and that he lives his life to serve the community, not as a thief. Binghamton man accused of attempting to abduct child from inside Price Chopper
A Binghamton man has been charged with attempted kidnapping after allegedly trying to abduct an 8-year-old girl inside Price Chopper. The Binghamton Police Department responded to a report of an assault and an attempted abduction at about 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 1 in the Price Chopper at 10 Glenwood Ave. in the City of Binghamton. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Donald Beetlestone, 37, of Binghamton, was being restrained by others in the store. He was taken into custody by police. Through the investigation police were able to determine that the child had been shopping with her mother and was alone in the produce section when Beetlestone approached her. He allegedly struck her with a bottle and attempted to forcibly remove her from the store. A female employee heard the struggle, intervened and attempted to stop Beetlestone, and a male customer assisted by physically restraining him until police arrived. Beetlestone was charged with first-degree attempted kidnapping, first-degree assault, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. He was remanded to the Broome County jail.
