Ullapool musician's Britain's Got Talent journey ends after semi-final public vote

Ullapool musician RuMac's Britain's Got Talent journey has come to an end after he was voted off in last night's semi-final.
The 32-year-old Wester Ross accordion player, whose real name is Ruairidh MacLean, failed to win over the public in a live vote.
He previously wowed the judges on the first episode of the new series of the ITV show with his rendition of Yes Sir, I Can Boogie.
And while his version of Take On Me by A-ha had the live audience on their feet dancing and singing along on Saturday night, the BGT judges were not impressed.
Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli pressed their buzzers halfway through the show in an attempt to take him off stage – to which RuMac quipped: 'I knew this would happen.'
Fourth judge Simon Cowell stayed his hand for the entire show, however.
But, Maclean looked to have won over the judging panel with even those who had previously buzzed up on their feet clapping to the beat by the end of the song.
The judges then appraised his performance afterwards.
Cowell said: 'I didn't buzz because he got through the first round, which means he must have had three or more yes votes.
'That was better I think than your first audition.
'I think you and your agent are going to get a billion phone calls tomorrow for New Year's Eve to book you because that is exactly the type of performance people love at a party.
'I'm not a huge fan of that instrument, however, you played it really well and I loved it.
'When they buzzed you, you just got faster and faster.
'Most people's heads would go down, but you just went for it.
'You did great.'
However, other judges were not so complimentary.
Bruno Tonioli said the performance 'gave him a hangover.'
Tonioli said: 'I feel like I am having a hangover and need an aspirin.'
'But I'm telling you, definitely, definitely, insanely funny.'
Dixon added: 'In the history of being on this show, that's the first time I have given someone a red buzzer and a standing ovation at the same time.'
'Which kind of sums up how I felt about this act.
'I did tell you that I don't like the accordion, but I have to say you made that so much fun, it was so crazy, it was good!'
'It was terrible and brilliant all at the same time.'
RuMac was then unfortunately voted off, finishing in 6th place at the end of the show.
Progressing from tonight's semi-final was operatic singer and drag queen Jasmine Rice, who got the golden buzzer from Bruno Tonioli.
Meanwhile, groups Ping Ping Pang and The Blackouts went through alongside singers Vinnie McKee and Stacey Leadbitter and 11-year-old guitarist Olly Pearson.

Heartbreaking moment Celeb SAS's Lucy Spraggan breaks down in tears as she opens up on horrifying rape during X Factor

The 34-year-old singer is one of 14 famous faces taking part on the intense Channel 4 show. 5 5 5 In tonight's episode, Lucy was called in for a chat with the staff to find out what she wanted to achieve from being there. The conversation soon turned to the moment Lucy - then 21 - was raped by a hotel porter during production of The X Factor. Lucy was competing on the ITV series in 2012 and made it through to the live shows. But after a drunken night out with fellow competitor Rylan Clark for his 25th birthday, Lucy was raped by a hotel porter who had used a traceable key card to get back into her room while she was passed out. Sharing her ordeal with the Celebrity SAS staff, as she started by explaining what she wanted to find out about herself. She stammered: "Where I, where I...I've been broken so many times." She went on to explain how being on The X Factor was "everything I'd ever wished for". But then she moved on to the fateful night when her world changed and she said: "I was wasted, I was paralytic." "The hotel porter said 'Oh I'll give her a hand' and I was paralytic. I passed out on the bed, so I can only tell you this stuff because of the information that I have been told. "When that hotel porter came up to my room to do what not-nice people do to vulnerable women." X Factor's Lucy Spraggan breaks down in tears as she's forced to cancel run of shows Trying to keep her composure, she continued: "I woke up and I didn't really know I knew what had happened but I didn't know what to do." Thankfully, the fact the porter used a key card was what helped identify him as her rapist and he was arrested. Lucy left the show soon after, with viewers having no idea about what really happened. Recalling how she felt at that point, a tearful Lucy said: "It was tough, hard." It felt like everything was snatched away from me in a really brutal way. Lucy Spraggan She then hung her head as the tears finally burst out before she wiped her eyes and calmed down a little. She then told the staff: "It was seven years of, like, trying to destroy myself. The amount of times I was blackout drunk, again, after that. "I know that that's what that was, I was just trying to shut everything out, but it felt like everything was snatched away from me in a really brutal way. "And I was like 'I haven't done anything wrong'. And so, I was angry about that, I was angry that other people had music careers that were better than mine. I realised, I was like, 'If I carry on doing this, I'm just going to die." Jaw-dropping moment TOPLESS Katie Price derails Princess Andre's reality show - as teen screams 'no mum I'm filming!' and admits 'she's so unpredictable and doesn't care'

This is the shocking moment a topless Katie Price video calls her daughter Princess during the teen's new reality TV show, as the embarrassed youngster shouts: 'Mum, I'm filming!' The Princess Diaries first aired on Sunday, and the fly-on-the-wall ITV programme offers a glimpse into the life of Peter Andre and Katie Price's youngest daughter. Princess, 18, appears confident and level-headed despite her chaotic upbringing in the public eye. But viewers are immediately brought into her fraught personal life, and her relationship with her mother - former glamour model and media persona Katie Price. In a candid clip, watchers see Princess after a shower, with her hair drying in a towel. She opts to ring her mother, saying: 'She's currently on holiday in Dubai. I'm just going to give her a quick call.' But as soon as Katie picks up and switches to video call, a mortified Princess squeals: 'No, no, no, oh my god. This is why - mum I'm filming!' Keen to end the call, the teenager says: 'Okay love you, bye,' before telling the camera: 'She had her boobs out.' Princess admitted her mother is 'so unpredictable,' and revealed she has to immediately tell her when she's with people for fear of being embarrassed over the phone. She continued: 'She's there, just casually out the shower, just topless, you know, she just doesn't care. I was like "Oh my god." 'I can never, ever answer the phone. My mum will call me and say "You're with people aren't you?" and I'll say "Yep". 'Because when she answers the phone, she's so unpredictable.' But an admiring Princess nonetheless told watchers how she aspires to emulate her mother's fearless attitude. 'She just lives life, she just actually doesn't care,' she said. 'And I actually really, really look up to that, I would love to have that mindset of "I don't care". 'Because, deep down, I do care. You'll speak to me I'll be like "yep" - I won't show any emotion, then I'll get to my bed and I'll cry and cry.' Princess's new show has seen her speak candidly about growing up in the spotlight, and the gruelling impact of her parents' divorce. She revealed she 'saw things kids shouldn't' during her childhood, and she is still recovering from her mother's 'dark times'. Speaking during an episode, Princess said: 'I had so much on my plate at such a young age.' Princess also described the impact her mother's subsequent chaotic romances and lifestyle had on her growing up. She told how Katie fell into a 'dark' place following her 2018 split from third husband Kieran Hayler - with whom she shares Bunny, 10, and Jett, 11 - after she discovered he had been unfaithful throughout their marriage. Katie herself has previously admitted to attempting suicide and relying on drugs and alcohol as a coping mechanism at the time, and now Princess has told how it affected her. Princess revealed on the show how she has a counsellor and previously 'couldn't just go to my dad' due to her parents, who split in 2009, 'not liking each other'. 'I do have a counsellor who I see now and then and I write everything down in my notes. I wish I could have had a happier childhood, I had so much on my plate at such a young age and had things at the back of my mind. 'My mum and Kieran split up when I was ten years old, we were close to him. He was in our lives for five years. 'He did a lot of stuff and when they split everything went downhill.' Laying bare Katie's 'problems', Princess said she hasn't 'fully recovered' from her mum's breakdown but revealed she did apologise and they now 'talk a lot'. She continued: 'Mum was heartbroken and she went through a dark time and it was things kids shouldn't see and when we needed our mum there, she wasn't there because she had her own problems. 'Kids in school would ask me about it and I was like 11 and I would just cry about it in bed. I couldn't just go to my dad about it because I grew up with them not liking each other. 'I'm not healed or fully recovered from it but mum has fixed herself compared to how she was back then. 'She spoke to me about it and she apologised and I never wanted an apology but it was a lot that she acknowledged it and she realised she needed to prioritise us, we now talk a lot and she is now my best friend.'
