You don't have to pay a subscription to get Microsoft apps anymore

TL;DR: Replace Microsoft 365 with a lifetime license for Microsoft Office Home and Business for only $160. Most of us rely on tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to get through our workday, but constantly paying for a subscription can feel like more hassle than it's worth. That's why Microsoft Office 2024 Home and Business is such a practical upgrade, because it gives you lifetime access to the essential apps you need without the recurring costs. Right now, it's only $159.97 (reg. $249.99), but that won't last much longer. This one-time purchase gives you lifetime access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote, and it works on both Mac and PC. No subscriptions, no pop-ups, no drama. Everything's faster and smoother, especially in Excel, where big spreadsheets won't freeze your screen or make you question your life choices. PowerPoint now lets you record presentations with your voice and video, which is perfect for remote meetings or last-minute class projects. And Word has Smart Compose and Focus Mode to help you stay on task, even when your brain wants to check emails for the third time in five minutes. New York Post Composite If you're juggling projects with other people, the collaboration features are actually useful. You can co-author documents in real time, leave comments, and track version history without needing to copy-paste things into emails or dig through six versions of the same file. And with built-in Microsoft Teams integration, chatting and sharing files doesn't feel like a scavenger hunt. Office 2024 also taps into AI to help you work smarter, not harder. It can suggest better phrasing, recommend charts based on your data, and even help clean up formatting. It's like having a helpful assistant who doesn't interrupt or judge your spreadsheet. Since this is a lifetime license tied to your Microsoft account, not your device, you can install it once and be done. No random fees, no chasing updates, and no worrying if your internet's out. Just dependable tools that work when you need them. Finally. Right now, it's only $159.97 to get a lifetime license for Microsoft Office 2024. StackSocial prices subject to change.

What Volkswagen's $1.5B tariff hit means for US expansion

Volkswagen (VWAGY) warned of a tariff hit as it cut its full-year outlook. Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Pras Subramanian joins Market Catalysts to break down the $1.5 billion impact from US tariffs and the automaker's potential plan to expand US production. To watch more expert insights and analysis on the latest market action, check out more Market Catalysts here. I thought of you immediately when I saw this because you have been tracking these European automakers so closely and what they've all been saying about tariffs. Yeah, and I and I think that this is not a surprise given you know, Volkswagen sort of heavy presence not only in Europe, but also they build a lot of vehicles in Mexico. So they're going to be hit by those tariffs and it and it as you mentioned, came in at about a one and a half billion dollars in tariff hits in the first half. And you know, obviously that's going to continue uh this for the back half of the year unless there's a deal in place and you know, and with that and with that said, VW slash their revenue estimate to be in line compared to last year as opposed to a 5% gain and then brought down their operating margin too, right? And but they're kind of saying it's in a band, right? So the upper bound or the the the band that's actually not as bad as would be a 10% tariff, right? That means they would have a higher margin. But if it's a 25% then it kind of gets hit even more, their margin comes down a bit more uh by almost two percentage points there. So that's not great for the company, but uh VW CEO, Oliver Blume said after the call that he hopes a deal will materialize before the August 1st deadline that's sort of in place with Trump and that they actually might have a separate bespoke deal made with the White House potentially down the line uh contingent upon investments in the US where they might actually start building some Audi uh premium luxury vehicles in the US as opposed to building them elsewhere like like Germany and in Mexico. That is interesting and presumably why the shares are up a little bit here this morning, Pras. And just quickly as well then, um what is the VW current US manufacturing footprint? So they have a rather large facility in Tennessee uh where they build I mean almost a million vehicles they can build in that in that facility to gigantic Chattanooga uh Tennessee facility. Um but obviously they can't build everything here and that's why they were using Mexico for certain products and and I think that there's a possibility of not only extending extending the the sort of lines in in Tennessee, but then also building somewhere and and notable that they actually build in places like Tennessee where it's a right to work or non-union state where whereas in Germany, everything is fully unionized. So it's interesting that they can it might actually benefit potentially them down the line if they actually move their production to the US. Pras, good to catch up with you on this as always. Appreciate it. Thank you.
