Did BTS Record An Unreleased Michael Jackson Song For The Tribute Album?
Owner of Michael Jackson's recording studio shared that BTS visited the studio last year and re-recorded one of King of Pop's unreleased songs.
BTS is busy recording new songs ahead of their upcoming reunion and now, there's talk that the South Korean group might perform an unreleased track by Michael Jackson. Back in 2006, Jackson worked on an album at Grouse Lodge studio in Ireland, where he lived with his family.
Sadly, the album was never finished and he passed away in 2009. Recently, the owner of Grouse Lodge, Paddy Dunning, shared that BTS visited the studio last year and re-recorded one of these unreleased songs. Along with the track, a documentary film about the King of Pop's time in Ireland is also planned to be released.
Michael Jackson's Tribute Album
Speaking with The Irish Sun, the businessman said, 'The sessions started last year and we have already had the Korean boy band BTS over with us in Grouse Lodge, recording one of the songs. There's about ten more, written especially for Michael by the collaborators he worked with in Ireland, including producer Rodney Jerkins and rapper Nephew, who have signed up for the project."
Paddy Dunning further shared that he spoke with Michael Jackson's estate and got their permission to release both the song and a documentary. The film will focus on the special time Michael spent in Ireland, where he often went to local cinemas with his three kids. According to Paddy, 'Michael's estate told me to plough ahead with this because like me, they see it as a tribute to Michael. And for the documentary we're going to get everyone's memories of working with Michael in Ireland."
Michael Jackson's Son Remembers Ireland Visit
During a recent trip to the US, Paddy got to meet Michael Jackson's oldest son, Prince. They talked about the happy times the family had while staying at Grouse Lodge. He also said that he, along with his siblings, Paris and Blanket, would like to return to Ireland someday and stay at the same place again.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, these old songs by Michael Jackson were found in a storage unit by former California Highway Patrol officer Gregg Musgrove. These tracks were recorded between 1989 and 1991. The storage space where the tapes were discovered once belonged to Bryan Loren, a music producer and songwriter who had worked with Jackson in the past.

While acknowledging that things have improved over the years, she recalled she was once asked to look 'younger' than her male co-star Shahid Kapoor for the 2008 film Kismat Konnection. She said that she received a call from someone who reminded her that Shahid is two years younger than her, and that she would have to lose weight to make sure she looks younger than him. While speaking with Filmfare, Vidya Balan said, 'There was this chatter that you have to look young if you want to work with some of the actors. I remember before I did Kismat Konnection, someone called me and said Shahid is two years younger than you. And you are being cast opposite him. Therefore you have to shed weight and make sure you look even younger than him. And of course the world has changed now." She further added, 'Until 2019, on every single film, I'd get a call from the producer, director. They would ask for a meeting and they would say 'Can you shed some weight?' I would be like 'Listen, I am not sitting on my haunches doing nothing. If I could, I would do it for myself, forget any film!' But those things are not nice. If you want someone with a different kind of body, go to that person. You want someone like me with my kind of person, then come to me. Because even for the most regular character, they would want me to be thinner." She further added that there was a phase when she had put on a lot of weight. 'And I was exercising like a beast. And today there is the awareness that I was actually harming myself., My body was in distress. I was so frustrated. I was barely eating. I was killing it in the gym. And I kept feeling like Oh maybe I am not pushing myself enough," said Vidya Balan. Kismat Konnection, starring Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapoor, was directed by Aziz Mirza.
