In a post on her Instagram Story, the mom of three talked about the challenges that came with her experience and how expectations places on mothers can oftentimes be "overwhelming."
'I breastfed all three of my children, but it wasn't without its challenges," she began. "While I enjoyed the moments of bonding, the latching was often painful. I didn't find breastfeeding as effortlessly as I'd hoped. Plus there was so much pressure to keep going because it's what society tells us we should do."
"The expectations placed on mothers can be overwhelming," she continued. "We're just trying our best, and feeding our children — whether through breastfeeding or bottle feeding – shouldn't come with guilt or judgment. You have to listen to your body and do what feels right for you.'

Say Hello to San Francisco's First Women's Sports Bar

San Francisco's first women's sports bar opens Wednesday, June 11, on Market Street. Rikki's throws open its doors to a city ready for lots of women's basketball; the Golden State Valkyries' inaugural season is underway to huge fanfare. Co-founders Danielle Thoe and Sara Yergovich told the San Francisco Chronicle the name honors Rikki Streicher, a gay San Francisco athlete who opened two now-closed queer women's bars in San Francisco, Maud's and Amelia's. This opening makes the bar the first in the Bay Area dedicated exclusively to women's sports. Fifteen TVs stretch across the space; pop-up Rikki's parties around the city have brought in some 150 fans per event. There's a full liquor license available, and local beers, including the aptly named Local Brewing Co. on tap, with food available for hungry sports fans, as well. Rikki's is open Tuesday through Sunday from 3:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on weekdays and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Sacramento sells tacos to fight fascism NorCal Resist coordinated a demonstration on Sunday, June 8, in defiance of the federal government's invasion of Los Angeles's immigrant communities. To keep the momentum going, the group will work with Radio Xicanismo for a Tacos & Corridos event on Saturday, July 26, at 2 p.m. Guests will get three tacos with rice and beans for $30 at the Latino Center of Art and Culture. Tickets are on sale now. Another Divisadero Street restaurant suffers from a fire In an unlucky streak for the vibrant business corridor, Banh Mi Viet closed due to a fire. It broke out around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, and no one was injured. This makes another shutdown on Divisadero Street in recent years; Ethiopian restaurant Oasis Cafe and adjoining Kava Lounge have been closed since a major fire in 2022, as did Phuket on the other end of the strip. Mainstay Berkeley restaurant closes for good The team behind the beloved El Patio in Berkeley let fans know via Instagram of the restaurant's impending finale: The last day of service will be Friday, July 4. There was no reason given for the closure. More than that, the post says the catering and events arm of the business is still operational. Sign up for our newsletter.

Miley Cyrus Lays on Ex Patrick Schwarzenegger's Dad Arnold's Hollywood Walk of Fame Star in New Album Film

Miley Cyrus premiered her Something Beautiful visual album at Tribeca Festival in New York City on June 6 During the clip for her song "Walk of Fame," she lays on Arnold Schwarzenegger's Hollywood Walk of Fame star — over a decade after she dated his son, Patrick, from November 2014 to April 2015 Cyrus previously spoke about ending up in the ICU with an infection from making the "Walk of Fame" videoIs Miley Cyrus making a reference to her past relationship with Patrick Schwarzenegger? The Grammy-winning superstar, 32, premiered the accompanying film for her new Something Beautiful album at Tribeca Festival in New York City on June 6, and in one scene from the project she lays on Patrick's father Arnold Schwarzenegger's Hollywood Walk of Fame star. The moment aptly occurs during the clip for Cyrus' album track "Walk of Fame," a collaboration with Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes featuring lyrics about the experience of being famous and how it takes over one's life. "Ooh, yeah, it's a walk of fame / And through the tears, I can see it so clear / Walk away, walk away," sings the Hannah Montana alum on the track's chorus. In the "Walk of Fame" visual, Cyrus struts down the actual Hollywood Walk of Fame and prominently lays down on Arnold's star — a decade after she dated Patrick from November 2014 to April 2015. The "Flowers" singer, who's now been dating boyfriend Maxx Morando since late 2021, fully committed to her vision for the "Walk of Fame" music video — and ultimately wound up in the ICU as a result. In a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview, Cyrus spoke about filming the clip in the middle of the night to no one else would be on the sidewalks, as they didn't have the budget to officially reserve the space. At one point, however, she "caught something" — seemingly from the sidewalk. She reflected on feeling "lucky" to not have needed to get a "hypodermic needle" in her body. "Because I filmed this video in October, and by November on Thanksgiving, I was put in ICU," she said. Cyrus stressed that her tenure in the intensive care unit was "just for a moment" since the less-serious emergency room was full of Thanksgiving-related visitors. "My leg began to disintegrate ... around the kneecap area," she detailed of the infection. "And then the doctor goes, 'Do you have any idea why you would have such a brutal infection on your kneecap?'" is now available in the Apple App Store! They open up cadavers. They see inside the guts of humans, and they're looking at me, telling me I'm disgusting. And they do brain operations!" Needless to say, filming the video was an unforgettable experience. "Have you been to the Walk of Fame in the middle of the night?" she asked Kimmel. "I thought it was my last day."
