JD Davison reacts to making the Boston Celtics full roster
One could do worse than winning the G League 2025 Most Valuable Player award to make your case for a full roster spot with the Boston Celtics. And that is exactly what Celtics two way point guard managed to do for his case to be elevated to the full roster after several seasons shuttling back and forth between Boston and Portland to play for the Maine Celtics at the G League level.
While the University of Alabama alum has not had all that much of an impact at the NBA level, it is hard to do more the next level down. And it is safe to say that Boston ought to at least give Davison a shot to show what he has at the NBA level next season.
The folks behind the "CLNS Media Boston Sports Network" YouTube channel put together a clip of the Montgomery, Alabama native reacting to his making the parent roster. Check it out below!

MLB Makes Strong Aaron Judge Statement on Sunday
MLB Makes Strong Aaron Judge Statement on Sunday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. As the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox prepare for Sunday night's series finale at Yankee Stadium, with first pitch set for 7:10 p.m. ET on ESPN, Major League Baseball made a pointed move of its own on Sunday morning. Advertisement Just hours before the rubber match in the storied AL East rivalry, MLB took to X to shine a spotlight on Aaron Judge's numbers through 63 games, figures that sit comfortably among the all-time great offensive campaigns. Major League Baseball posted that Judge "is putting together an all-time season: AVG: .390 HR: 21 RBI: 51 OBP: .488 SLG: .746 OPS: 1.234." His batting average (.390), slugging percentage (.746), on-base percentage (.488) and on-base plus slugging percentage (1.233) comfortably lead the MLB this season. Judge's 21 home runs (third in MLB) and 51 RBIs (sixth in MLB) further solidify his standing as the league's premier slugger. Advertisement He also leads the league in hits (92) and ranks second in runs (59). New York Yankees third baseman Oswald Peraza (left) and designated hitter Aaron Judge. John Froschauer-Imagn Images Since his debut with the Yankees on Aug. 13, 2016, Judge has steadily built a resume packed with milestones, including six All-Star selections, four Silver Slugger Awards and two Hank Aaron Awards (given to the top offensive performer in each league). He is also a two-time AL MVP (2022, 2024), including his record-breaking 62-homer season of 2022, which broke the previous Yankees franchise mark and stands as the American League single-season record. New York enters Sunday's finale tied at one game apiece in the three-game set after Boston's 10-7 victory on Saturday. Advertisement Overall, New York sits at 39-24 atop the AL East and second in league standings, behind only the Detroit Tigers (42-24).
