Varun Dhawan has been busy shooting for his upcoming film Border 2 and now the actor is in Punjab. Sporting his current moustache look, Varun was seen posing in the middle of the lush green fields in Punjab.
The actor wore a simple white kurta and pyjama as he enjoyed the clear sky and calm atmosphere. Varun also shared a picture of a gurudwara, hinting at how he has been spending his time there.
Varun Dhawan's Border 2 Set For 2026 Release
Varun Dhawan's Border 2 boasts of an ensemble cast and the team has been rigorously working on the film. It will release in January 2026 and as per recent reports, has cast Medha Rana as the female protagonist opposite Varun Dhawan. The official introduction post mentioned, 'Every story finds its people. We're happy to welcome #MedhaRana to the #Border2 family as the female lead opposite #VarunDhawan. Get ready for a monumental saga of courage and patriotism, as Border 2 arrives in cinemas on January 23, 2026." Medha has appeared in several films, including London Files, Ishq In The Air, Friday Night Plan and Netflix's Dancing on the Graves, but Border 2 is her first major Bollywood production.
Border 2 to Pay Tribute To Indian Warriors
The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in partnership with JP Dutta's JP Films and is supported by a powerful production team that includes Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. Border 2 is set against a backdrop of heroism, sacrifice and national pride and it is prepared to provide a striking tribute to the Indian warriors' unwavering spirit. Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, builds on the legacy of the 1997 classic while crafting its own identity through a novel narrative approach. The film will also star Ahan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Sunny Deol and others.
Varun Dhawan will also be seen with Janhvi Kapoor for Shashank Khaitan's Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, marking their second on-screen pairing after Bawaal. The film, which had been postponed multiple times, has now been scheduled for release on October 2.
