Karan Johar says he wants his kids Yash and Roohi to be like Shah Rukh Khan's kids Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan: Here's why
Filmmaker Karan Johar has often spoken about his deep admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, whom he considers both an elder brother and his closest friend in the industry. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Karan opened up about his family-like bond with SRK's family and heaped praise on Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan, expressing his wish for his own children, Yash Johar and Roohi Johar, to grow up to be like them. (Also Read: Karan Johar says he is inspired by Stree 2's success: 'Not like the biggest star of the country is in it')
Karan revealed that both Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Aditya Chopra are like gurus to him and credited them for shaping his life and career. He stated that he owes his entire being to them. He added that he'll always consider himself Aditya's assistant and Shah Rukh's younger brother.
Speaking further about his bond with SRK and his family, Karan said, "I don't know... with Shah Rukh and Gauri, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam — they are my family. Like genuinely, they are my family. Aryan, in many ways, is my first born. I have a memory of holding Aryan in my arms and walking through a park in London, singing a song to him — and I can't sing to save my life. But he remembers that song, and I remember that song. So, when I see him directing a series today, I'm awestruck. When I see Suhana training for King, I'm awestruck."
He added, "Because I'm like, look at these kids — how they've worked on themselves to become the talents they want to be. To create their individual identities and go beyond their father's unattainable legacy. I see them so hungry to achieve. Looking at them, my heart is full of joy. I want Yash and Roohi to grow up to be like Aryan and Suhana — as people, more than anything else. What strong human beings they've been raised to be by Gauri and SRK. Such pure hearts. They're just good children — well-mannered, well-raised, hardworking, yet hungry to achieve — and that's a combination hard to find."
Karan further said that both Aryan and Suhana are aware of their privilege but have never taken advantage of it. He described them as the 'simplest kids,' noting that even though Shah Rukh has indulged them with everything, they have never asked for more. He expressed his deep respect for both Aryan and Suhana for carving out their own paths in the world, and credited Gauri Khan for raising them so well.
Aryan Khan is now set to make his directorial debut with the Netflix series Ba***ds of Bollywood, while Suhana made her acting debut last year in Zoya Akhtar's The Archies. Though the film and her performance received criticism, Suhana is now preparing for her next big project — King, where she stars alongside her father Shah Rukh Khan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film reportedly also features Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Abhay Verma, and is currently under production.

Running 45k every week, fasting, swimming: Arjun Rampal details 'gruesome' regimen that helped him lose 12 kg in 6 weeks
Arjun Rampal is playing the bad guy in the second season of Netflix's Rana Naidu. The actor, known for his fitness, gained a lot of mass for the role, in order to appear a worthy adversary to the much taller and bigger Rana Daggubati, who plays the titular hero. In a chat with HT, Arjun reveals how the weight gain was fun, but posed some issues once he had to shed all that weight after the shoot got over. Talking about his bulked-up physique, Arjun says, "I gained 14 kg for the role. It was fun while gaining it, but not really funny when I was trying to lose it (after the shoot ended)." At 52, Arjun is fitter than most people half his age. But the actor does agree that gaining and losing weight in his 50s is harder than how it was in his 20s and 30s. "It is much harder. It definitely doesn't become easier. But touchwood, the metabolism is still kicking and working. It took me about two months to gain that weight. Then, I lost 12 kg in a month and a half. That was gruesome," he explains. Talking about all the things he did to lose that much weight in that short a span, Arjun says he relied on "Full diet, intermittent fasting, and a tremendous amount of cardio." The actor says he "would do four 10k runs in a week and 5K runs on the other three days", meaning he ran 45 km every week. On top of all this was swimming, cycling, paddle, tennis and, as Arjun puts it: "Whatever cardio I could throw in there". This was all accompanied by regular weight training, he adds But more than just losing the weight, Arjun says he was focused on getting his mobility back. He explains, "What happens is when you gain weight, your mobility really suffers. Your joints and hips become very tight. So opening that out and bringing back flexibility and mobility was key."
