'I was on high alert': Women shares unsettling train journey with Gilgo beach murder suspect Rex Heuermann
A young woman has come forward with a disturbing n unsettling train journey she shared with alleged Gilgo Beach serial killer, Rex Heuermann, just days before his arrest last year.
Kaylin Morales, 21, said she was travelling home on a nearly empty Long Island Rail Road train on 1 July 2023, when Heuermann sat down beside her, uncomfortably close, despite there being dozens of empty seats.
'I just thought he was this big, fat, ugly white man…I obviously didn't know who he was at the time,' Morales told the New York Post. 'It was just so weird that the rest of the seats were empty and he had to sit right next to me.
I was on high alert at that point.'
Heuermann, 61, allegedly made a creepy comment as he sat down, saying, 'Oh, you don't have to move your pretty legs. I won't bother you.'
Feeling 'uncomfortable' and 'boxed in' by Heuermann's large body, Morales began secretly recording him with her phone, capturing photos and videos as the train left Penn Station. In one Snapchat clip, Heuermann is seen sipping a Miller Lite, his phone on his lap appearing to show a New York Post article.

Another video shows him cracking open a second can of beer.
'I could have moved but I was like, 'Is he going to say something else to me?'' she said. 'I just don't want to interact with this man any further — everything about him was sussing me out. So I thought the best thing to do was ignore him and put my AirPods in and look out of the window.'
Morales said she later saw Heuermann exit the train at Massapequa, the same area he had lived in for years before his shocking arrest on 13 July 2023 in connection with several long-unsolved murders on Gilgo Beach.
Her footage, initially kept private, was submitted to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. Morales was later interviewed by a detective, who confirmed the man in the videos was indeed Heuermann.
'My heart immediately sank to the floor…it was literally the craziest feeling. I couldn't even believe it,' she recalled of the moment she recognised him on the news.
Morales said she held off from posting the clips online until earlier this month out of fear for her safety and finally posted it on TikTok.
'I was worried if I posted right after his arrest, if he had a partner, I didn't want them coming after me, so I waited,' she said. 'After I watched the Netflix documentary and see that he did this alone, I felt more comfortable sharing my experience.'
When approached, the Suffolk county police department declined to comment, and the district attorney's office said they could not confirm or deny details of any ongoing investigations.

Watch: White men bikers spew racial slurs, beat black man in Indiana bar
White men spew racist slur, beat black man A disturbing incident at an Indiana bar, caught on camera, showed several white men wearing "Outlaw" biker vests physically assaulting a black patron, as reported New York Post. The violent confrontation occurred at Pike's Pub in Waynedale on Friday night, with footage showing patrons screaming as the altercation knocked drinks off tables. The Allen County Sheriff's Department received a call around 11 pm (US time) regarding an allegedly intoxicated person requiring removal from the premises. Upon arrival, the victim declined to provide details about his attackers. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital and was listed in fair condition. According to Pike's Pub owner Kelley Rost, who was absent during the incident, the confrontation began when the man refused to settle his bill. The assailants were identified as likely members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, a notorious group in Fort Wayne. 'There are two sides to every story,' Rost told the Wane 15. Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker expressed concern in a social media comment, stating she found the footage "very disturbing to watch. I am seeking answers as I am sure many of you are, too." 'I am in communication with our team and will continue to gather information as it becomes available,' Tucker said Local residents organised protests near the establishment, gathering in a nearby nursing home car park. Police revisited the premises on Saturday for further investigation, with the case now being transferred to the Criminal Investigations Division.

Siblings found dead in Delhi's Dilshad Garden flat, both MBAs and reclusive
Image used is for representational purposes only NEW DELHI: A man and his sister were found dead, suspected to have ended their lives by suicide, in their rented flat in north-east Delhi's Dilshad Garden on Sunday. Neighbours and family described the siblings as reclusive, rarely venturing out. The deceased were identified as Viresh Kumar and Preeti Tomar, who were residents of Baghpat. Both were MBA graduates. Viresh worked in the IT sector. The police are investigating possible motives, including financial difficulties and depression. Police received a PCR call around 8.21 am, and a team rushed to the spot, which was a flat on the ground floor in D Pocket, Dilshad Garden. "The flat was found locked from inside, and on opening, the bodies of the two were found. They were tenants in the flat since 2021," deputy commissioner of police (Shahdara) Prashant Priya Gautam said. They lived in a one room set, paying around Rs 1,4000 as rent. The crime and forensic teams went to the spot. The crime scene was videographed. The DCP said they had not found any foul play yet. The owner of the flat said the duo kept to themselves. "They never interacted with anyone in the society, so most people didn't know much about them," the landlord said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo He added that they were always paid the rent on time, except for the previous month. "The last time I spoke to him was regarding the rent. He said his sister wasn't well, so I told him not to worry and to pay whenever he could," the landlord said. On Sunday morning, some neighbours smelled a strong odour. "When we reached and checked, it was unbearable. That's when the police were called," he said. Police are in contact with the family of the deceased. Ashok Singh, a neighbour, described them as reclusive and lacking a social circle. "I once went to invite them to my brother's wedding a few years ago, but they didn't even open the door," he said. He occasionally saw the sister cooking, but otherwise, the siblings kept to themselves. "The place where the incident took place was a LIG flat, and in the locality, more than 10 families live," he said. Their cousin, Vijay Tomar, shared that their father, who served in the army, passed away in 2011, followed by their mother in 2021 — both due to illness. The siblings moved from their native village in Baghpat to Delhi, initially living in Jhilmil Colony. "We made an effort to reach out, but they never responded," he said. Tomar mentioned that both were academically gifted and held MBA degrees. "I remember he was working at an IT company in 2020 but lost his job during the pandemic. I'm not sure if he found work afterward," he added. Family members tried to stay in touch, even inviting them to a wedding last year, but they declined. Relatives had also suggested matches for Preeti, but she said she wasn't interested, focusing instead on her studies. "They cut themselves off from everyone. If they were facing difficulties, they could have spoken to us," he said.
