What time do Bob MacIntyre, Rory McIlroy and Open leaders start on Friday
Battling Bob MacIntyre gets his second day at The Open started alongside Bryson DeChambeau and his Ryder Cup sidekick Justin Rose in the morning.
The Scottish star, who opened with a level-par round of 71, has been paired with the big-hitting American and the English hero through the first two rounds at Royal Portrush.
Following their late Thursday finish, it's a much sharper conclusion on day two with the trio's Friday tee-time set at 9.47am.
Home hero Rory McIlroy has a 10.09am beginning for his second effort as he plays next to Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Thomas.
The Northern Irishman was roared around the Dunluce Links through his first-day 70 and he aims to hit the top of the leaderboard.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler has the flip times from McIlroy through the opening two days in his grouping with Collin Morikawa and Shane Lowry, the 2019 winner at the venue, going off on Friday at 3.10pm.
Defending Open champion Xander Schauffele also has a later start for round two having got underway on Thursday morning. The 2024 Claret Jug winner goes out at 2.59pm with Spanish LIV star Jon Rahm and US Open king JJ Spaun.
Other names to note in the second round are the leaders with Christian Bezuidenhout the first of the four-unders to get going at 8.36am.
McIlroy feels ready to mount a strong challenge and said: 'I feel the support of an entire country, which is a wonderful position to be in. But, at the same time, you don't want to let them down. So there's that little bit of added pressure.
'I felt like I dealt with it really well, better than I did six years ago. I was just happy to get off to a good start and get myself into the tournament. Having that experience was definitely helpful.
'I didn't feel like I was walking into the unknown this time around, where last time I hadn't experienced that before. I hadn't played an Open at home. I didn't know how I was going to feel. This time I had a better idea of what was going to be coming my way.'
MacIntyre is also hopeful after day one and said: 'I thought I managed to keep a lid on it fairly well. There was a couple of swears out there. It's difficult. There's so many cross-winds on this golf course.
'Got off to the perfect start, didn't I? Three-under early doors, playing beautifully. Then just a couple of awkward tee shots, a couple of awkward approach shots for me.
'Yeah, disappointing finish, but to get out with level par, especially with a two-putt on 18, solid enough.
'After the start I had, no, you wouldn't take that, but the way I was scrambling late on with the last kind of four holes, I would have probably have taken that.'

It's been really really disappointing to see. 'Being injured and in the shadows, I never had that at a new club. That is so depressing. It can take your soul away at times. 'I'm sure he's been in some dark moments. He will be like a new signing. I think this is no surprise. 'Whenever he's been fit in his career he's played, at Chelsea especially. Managers have played him when they won the Champions League. 'He was one of the most important players. He has the quality. He has the work ethic. He has the legs. 'He has the ability to be a really really good top player. I just hope he gets the time to play minutes to show himself.' PGA Tour officials concerned after Rory McIlroy opts to skip opening round of FedEx Cup playoffs
The playoffs are made up of three rounds through August, starting with the Tour's 70 top-ranked players competing at the FedEx St Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Tennessee. The top 50 progress to the second round, the BMW Championship at Caves Valley Golf Club in Maryland, before the top 30 players contest the Tour Championship shootout at East Lake Golf Club, Georgia. The quadruple points on offer through the first two events offer players the chance to quickly climb the rankings. But McIlroy, who is currently second in the FedEx Cup standings behind Scottie Scheffler after winning the Masters and the Players this year, is already assured of a place in the top 30 and so has chosen to rest rather than take part in the opening tournament. McIlroy's decision comes after the PGA Tour removed the much-maligned 'starting strokes' from the Tour Championship, in which the top ranked players were rewarded by starting the tournament several shots under par. This season, all 30 players will start the finale on level par, removing any incentive for McIlroy to play in the opening playoff round beyond the financial rewards – there is around £2.7m up for the winner – and the five-time major winner is doing OK in that regard. McIlroy signalled his intentions a year ago, as soon as starting strokes were set to be abolished, saying he doesn't get on well with TPC Southwind. But Peter Malnati, a player director on the PGA Tour Policy Board, said he was 'very concerned' by McIlroy's decision to skip the event, which means the FedEx Cup playoffs begin without one of the game's biggest stars when the remaining field of 69 players get underway on Thursday. Asked if the Tour would look to change the rules to prevent something similar happening in the future, Malnati added: 'I think there is stuff in the works and I'll leave it at that.' Fellow player director Webb Simpson empathised with McIlroy's decision, having done something similar in 2020 when he chose to sit out the second round in order to rest for the Tour Championship. 'I think it's too hard of a thing to make guys have to play, we're still a sport where you can play when you want to play,' Simpson said. 'I knew I couldn't fall more than one spot and I thought losing one stroke at East Lake was worth a week of rest because I was toast. I don't know Rory's reason but I totally get it. It's a hard thing to fix.'

The SPFL wrote: "The Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) can today provide a further update on match arrangements for round three of the William Hill Premiership. "As previously confirmed, Dundee United v Aberdeen on Saturday August 23 has been postponed following a request by Aberdeen, who will be participating in the Europa League play-offs. "The new policy, which allows clubs involved in UEFA play-off matches to postpone their round three fixtures, was approved by the SPFL Board in April to support clubs aiming to reach the league phase of UEFA competitions. "Falkirk v Hibernian was selected by Premier Sports for live broadcast on Saturday August 23, kick-off 5.45pm, but, as earlier announced, following a request from Hibernian will also be postponed if they overcome FK Partizan to reach the Conference League play-off round. "St Mirren v Rangers has been selected for live coverage on Sky Sports on Sunday August 24, kick-off 12 noon, but following a request from Rangers will be postponed if they reach the play-off round of the Champions League.
